With RX100VII

Bought the camera from Best Buy in 2023. Used it on a couple of trips, but it's way too complicated for me. In May 2025, I sent it to Precision Camera (authorized Sony depot) to be cleaned and checked for any deficiencies. It was cleaned, and reported to be in good working order. Now I want to sell the camera, along with the 3 batteries and a charger. Where do folks think is the best place to sell it?

just a quick question which might have already been asked but I could not find the answer unfortunately:

When shooting RAW only with the RX100 viii at widest angle I get dark corners in the image looking like the image doesn't cover the whole sensor. In consequence I ve to crop every picture later on.

Unfortunately, I don't notice such an effect in the display or viewfinder.

The python approves of the RX100! Gave me some nice poses in front of the lens :)

I loaned my camera out and it was dropped breaking the screen. I ordered a genuine replacement screen assembly which worked when I first plugged it in before reassembly... Somehow I bent the ribbon cable incorrectly during assembly and cut what I presume is the data portion because I now only get a lit up screen without signal. 😞

I'm in search of a lightweight pocket camera for under 400€, that I can shoot random pictures mostly of people in places with. Both of these I can find used for that money, and it seems to me the zv-1 is a better deal overall. The only downside is the lack of viewfinder and flash, and I am not sure if I'm gonna miss it. Flash I can get one to put on the hotshoe I guess. Other than that they have the same optics, and the zv-1 is newer with better videos if I occasionally wanna take some moving images.

Is there something I am missing, on why the newer RX100s seem to be more expensive than the ZV-1? I want the brighter optics 24-70mm and not the big zoom.

Hello all! I wanted to ask if a quirk I am noticing with a new RX100VA I bought is to be expected or something I should try to return. The pop out view finder isn't clear to look through. No matter the distance or lighting, it's still blurry. When you hold the button to focus, you hear it focus and all that, but there's no change in clarity. The picture itself will be clear. Any advice would be appreciated!

Solved: I am in idiot and didn't pull out the viewfinder

i got the fuji x-half recently and love the look straight out of camera and using recipes. i’m looking for something with a better flash that’s still easy to carry around.

i’m considering the x100vi and x-t30 iii, and i’ve also been looking at the sony rx100 vii because it’s so portable i could always have it with me. i’m just unsure if i’d miss the film simulations that got me interested in fuji. would something like an x-m5 with a hotshoe flash make more sense, or is there something else i should consider?

Can anyone recommend a good travel pouch to carry the Mk7 around. Be handy to have a small pouch for it to then throw into a bag etc when traveling.
