u/Heated_super May 12 '26
I guess I have good professors I’ve been knowing all 5 of my class final grades for some time now with the last one being uploaded last night

u/Initial_Reception_75 May 12 '26
If you look in the Grades section of Transcript and Grades, Quality Points are coming out. You can get your grade by looking at the quality points
11
3
u/No-Sugar-5476 May 12 '26
What are quality points… mine haven’t come out yet
4
u/Initial_Reception_75 May 12 '26
Quality points are GPA times credit hours for each course; for example in a 3 credit course, if you get a B, it will be 3x3 =9 quality points. You can see them on desktop or by extending the dropdown menu on mobile if the are available
3
3
2
u/cheesycoconut9 May 12 '26
Are you 100% sure these are accurate?
2
u/No-Sugar-5476 May 12 '26
All my grades have come out except one, and they all seem to match the quality points so I would assume so

Let's get this party started!
Sixth Sem IE
ECON 451 - Game Theory - Brindley - C - SUMMER 2025
- The class was fun, but I bungled my online submission for the final on Gradescope and ended with a 0% on that, knocking my A- down to a C. Other than that, a great class.
ECON 352 - Intermediate Macroeconomics - Yarborough - A- - SUMMER 2025
- Took for love of the game (and the Econ minor.) Yarborough is great, no complaints.
IE 490 - Intro to Machine Learning - Estrada - A
- A beginner-to-intermediate classical machine learning class. Good if you work in data as an IE, or just like building models. An appreciable step up in complexity from ECE 20875, and Estrada is very passionate.
NUCL 273 - Mechanics of Materials - Pantopoulou - C+
- A very poor finals performance cost me a B-range grade. Not my greatest showing, but Pantopoulou keeps the class sane enough.
ECE 20001 - Electrical Engineering Fundamentals I - Rosa-Diaz - C
- I escaped.
IE 386 - Work Analysis & Design I - Lehto - A
- This class is a total waste. It's incredibly easy but it just sucks your time up the entire semester.
IE 336 - Stochastic Modeling - Goñi Cortes - B+
- Very interesting with lots of applicability in my personal field. Exams are fair, and Goñi Cortes is a good lecturer.
Semester GPA: 3.12 | Cumulative GPA: 3.17 -> 3.16
Not the greatest semester, but I'll cut myself some slack after being gone for 9 months. Either way, the worst seems to have passed, and I'm ready to get the hell outta here next year.
2
u/dikenichi02 IE May 13 '26
Did they curve 386 at all? Cuz like I had an 83 in brightspace and I got a B
1
10
u/Initial_Reception_75 May 12 '26
Please be a curve for Frazho’s AAE 301🙏
11
u/Initial_Reception_75 May 12 '26
There was not, in fact, a curve
0
u/oxnq May 12 '26
I think there was lol but not that big
3
u/Initial_Reception_75 May 13 '26
Maybe I got a 68.05 and still got a D+ so maybe a small straight curve but nothing bottom heavy lol
2
u/catastrophic-combust AAE 2027 May 13 '26
My 69.75 was still a D+ 💀
0
u/oxnq May 13 '26
I calculated mine prior and it went from a B+ to a A-. The grade you see on there is probably the curved grade.
1
u/AncientSprinkles7203 May 15 '26
are y'all gonna retake the class this fall. im in the same boat with a D.

Well I got cooked once again: Sophomore Year in Aerospace Second Semester:
AAE204: C+
AAE20401: C (I missed a lab😵💫)
AAE251: B
ECON252: A+
AAE301: D+
AAE340: B-
My exam averages were pretty good (85.76 in 204, 76 in 301, and 89.5 of the two that counted in 340) but I screwed myself on the homeworks. I think if I got 90 on all my homeworks would’ve ended up with a 3.2ish. Instead I got a 2.62. Cumulative GPA 3.61 -> 3.35 one semester after going from a 3.98 -> 3.61. Everything is fine😄
(edits: alignment and formatting)

u/ReadyKnowledge AAE2028 May 13 '26
bro why was 20401 hard for no reason. it was 1: my lowest grade this sem, 2: curved?? when are labs so bad they need to be curved.

u/carvalj CompE & MAHO 2028 May 12 '26
Me stalking my purdue (theres one class I have a good guess on what I got but dont know for sure yet)
5
u/Initial_Reception_75 May 12 '26
This is a complete dumpster fire guys no curves in any of my classes, imma get like a 2.62 or something😭

Is anyone able to see their unofficial transcript yet? When I select "transcript type," it's saying "no results found."

anyone’s assignments still a 0? and my prof had the audacity to post a letter grade in the gradebook?

Is there anyone having the same issue where the transcript type is showing “no result found!” when you’re trying to see the transcript?
1
u/Enchanted-2-meet-you Comp. Sc. '28 May 13 '26
yes me too, when i select grades it gives me the quality points so I calculated through that
1
u/Numerous_Travel7896 May 13 '26
If you don’t mind me asking, how do you calculate your grades based off quality points?
5
u/Enchanted-2-meet-you Comp. Sc. '28 May 13 '26
I believe it is based on multiplying the credit hours and seeing what that gives. so if it is multiplied by 4, you got an A. by 3 - B, by 2 - C and so on (for eg, my 3 credit class has 12 so I got an A, and another one has 6.9, so I got a C+). you can search it up there seems to be a standard way of doing it and you can get an exact breakdown.
2
u/cadencesystem May 13 '26
quality point/# credits = gpa number, which correlates with a letter grade (edited for clarification)

u/nolanjunes May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26
Time to do one of these again (as a graduating ECE undergraduate)
VIP 47922 - Senior Design in VIP Part 2 - B-
It's a two credit hour senior design that takes two semesters to complete. I elected to participate through VIP's SoCET team. It's an easy A if you turn in all the documentation, but I slipped up and missed some (evidently).
ECE 20869 (formerly ECE 36900) - Discrete Math for Comp Eng - Qiu - B+
The class average was a B-, so I'm happy with how I did. Like an absolute sicko, I didn't attend a single lecture and got by with studying the textbook at home. It could've been an easy A if I had earned any of the 10% participation grade, but hindsight is 20/20.
ECE 50650 - AQC I - Fundamentals - A+
Genuinely some of the most fun I've had with a course. This was a 1 credit hour offering teaching the basics of quantum computing and the recorded lectures were very engaging.
ECE 50632 - Intro To Quantum Transport - Datta - A
ECE 46900 - Operating Systems Engineering - Machiry - Withdraw
ECE 57000 - Artificial Intelligence - Liu - Withdraw
CHM 25500 - Organic Chemistry for Life Sciences 1 - Chmielewski, Altman - B
Woah, what is a computer engineer doing taking orgo? Having a crisis in career and taking pre-med courses, that is. My study recommendation would be to use Anki for flashcarding functional groups and reaction mechanisms.
CHM 25501 - Organic Chemistry Life Sciences Lab 1 - C
Ouch. My first and last C as an undergraduate. Make sure to turn in your lab documents on time.
Semester GPA: 3.12
Cumulative GPA: 3.55
I'll be back for the Master's Program in ECE in the fall.

u/carvalj CompE & MAHO 2028 May 13 '26
Alright, I guess im also writing one of these for this semester.
ECE (CompE) & MAHO Sophmore, 4th semester.
ECE 362: Microprocessor Systems And Interfacing [4 credits] - Z Ghodsi (A+) -> One of the best courses I have had the pleasure of taking at Purdue. The labs are extremely instructional, and genuinly a ton of fun to do. If embedded is something you are even remotely interested in, this is *the* class. Towards the end, once the course project starts, the labs become remote assembly labs and the lecture content turns toward computer ISA and computer archtecture, which feels a bit random, but as someone who also enjoys those, was a very welcome thing. Learned a lot, a ton of fun. Also, my team went to SPARK with our course project, which was also very fun.
Grade wise, if you do labs on time, and dont completely throw homeworks, it is chill: Theres plenty of extra credit opportunities and the midterm/final arent worth a lot.
ECE 469: Operating Systems Engineering [4 credits] - A Machiry (A) -> Also one of the best classes I have ever taken at this school, while learning a lot. By far the hardest class (conceptually) that I have taken (so far). 5 labs build on each other throughout the semester, totalling 70% of your final grade, with the remainder being split between a midterm and a final (12.5% each) and some in class quizzes. I learned *so much* and getting to slowly build up a rudimentary OS kernel was super interesting. Got hella skill checked by the final tho. I needed an 50% for an A and i walked out thinking I did not get the 50%.
Class has plenty of EC opportunities in the JOS labs themselves, and I recommend doing them as you will learn more and earn padding %s that you can use to do bad on exams/skip class.
ECE 2k2: Electrical Engineering Fundamentals II - Lukens (A+) -> WE WIN THESE.*
MA 425: Elementary Complex Analysis - O Tsymbaliuk (A+) -> Also one of the best classes I have taken at purdue, and very much a cathartic one for me. Complex Analysis caught my interesting for the first time before I was ever in college, when I saw a random youtube video of someone solving a indefinite integral by countour integration. The technique fascinated me (I was very much one of those "integral bee" people), and one thing led to another and I ended up buying a complex analysis book, making it past the elementary chapter and failing miserably. I tried again on and off, to slightly better results, but never quite *seeing* it. This class changed that, and was a ton of fun. W class, W professor as well (super engaging, genuinly a good guy).
ECE 39595: Communication & Collaboration - Connor Hacks (A) -> Not much to say here. Its your generic seminar class. This used to run as ECE 39401. For what it is worth, it is LEAGUES better than 29401, and Connor makes the class as enjoyable as possible. Theres some group work at the end, but its a relatively chill presentation. Pick problem, find ECE solution, yap about cool ECE things. Decent class, more than I expected of it, which is a W here.
STAT 350: Intro to Statistics - Evidence Matangi (A+) -> Shit class. Boring, lots of braindead work for the sake of braindead work and crucially it failed to teach me anything. I passed with an A+ and I still dont know what a t distribution is or what it even looks like. You could give me its graph and 3 random squiggles by a 3 year old toddler and I couldnt pick it out. Actual failure of a class, needs to be fully reworked. Im also 99% the exams were written by AI.
CS 211 -> Competitive Programming 1 (A+) -> W class. In what seemed to be a pattern this semester, also one of the bests courses I have taken at purdue. Challanging but interesting, with amazing lectures to back it up, this feels like a purdue CPU club meeting. I looked forward to 5:30pm thursday tuesday when I would go to class and put my brain through the methaphorical grinder working through USACO and ICPC problems. Amazing course not just from a techniques in CP point of view, but also a great exercise in good problem solving, which is always fun.
Overall, the semester was a fuckton of work, but with the notable exception of STAT 350, all of it was enjoyable. Great memories were made, and I took some of the best classes I have ever had here. I had a blast, and hope future semesters continue to build on this.
Semester GPA: 4.00
Cumulative GPA: 3.98 -> 3.98 (no change lol)
\On a more serious note about ECE 2k2, I totally see why it has the reputation it has. Not an easy course. But at least in my experience with it, it is not worthless or hard for the sake of being hard. Most of the problems simply wanted you to applly what you saw in class to something you may not have seen before, and if you cracked the ability to do that, the exams were not bad at all. If you were trying to simply recall everything, and solve "just like on the hw" then you probably had a very \very* bad time. Also, I highly recommend having decent mathematical skills for this course (namely, having diffyQ done) which thankfully I had.

Are you pursuing grad school by any chance?
1
2
u/Far-Meet-3864 May 12 '26
What should I do if they just did not grade my final exam? on brightspace its just ungraded still. I have already contacted the Professor and TA in charge of my grading and got zero response. Do I just wait until the grades are out on mypurdue later tonight, and what if they're wrong?
4
u/Dear-Surround-1015 May 12 '26
Professors don’t have to put finals on bright-space. They do however for your transcript, id wait till 8 pm tonight.
1
u/Far-Meet-3864 May 12 '26
Ok its just very strange because I have a friend in the class whose grade was updated on brightspace. Up until like an hour ago I was missing 40% of my grade but they graded a ton of assignments besides my final. IDK at this point what to do.
1
u/Dear-Surround-1015 May 12 '26
Does your friend have their final grade? If no then it’ll be reflected on your final grade in like 2 hours on myPurdue.
2
u/Far-Meet-3864 May 12 '26
yeah everything for them is graded including their final exam. I am just missing my final exam grade on brightspace at this point. I reached out to the TA and professor last week and this week and basically received nothing. If they do input my grade missing 25% idk who i would contact to have it fixed.
1
u/Dear-Surround-1015 May 12 '26
That’s different then, I’d send a follow up email asap.
3
u/Far-Meet-3864 May 12 '26
Thanks I emailed them right after the deadline and have not received anything. Thanks for the help I guess if my grade is incorrect when transcripts release I'll reach out to the department head or registrar i guess
1
u/Beginning_Entry_1067 May 12 '26
what if it’s like project grades and extra credit assignments?
1
u/Dear-Surround-1015 May 12 '26
If your friends all have theirs graded and you don’t then it’s an issue, if nobody has grades in you’ll see it reflected on your final grade in like 2 hours
1
2
u/Appropriate_Egg_4580 May 12 '26
Can yall see your grades yet? I usually can by now
2
2
u/Initial_Reception_75 May 12 '26
Look at the grades tab under transcripts and grades, and see if any quality points are out! You can calculate your grades from that
1
u/Beginning_Entry_1067 May 12 '26
how
1
u/Prize-Ring-9154 Boilermaker May 13 '26
quality points is credit hours * the gpa points. so for example, a b in a 4 credit hours class is 12 points. if yk the credit hours and how much each grade is worth you can get the letter grade using quality/credit
2
u/Live_Bike2667 May 12 '26
Should I email a prof if i missed passing grade by 0.15%?
3
u/Inevitable_Tea_9247 May 12 '26
a little late atp but shoot ur shot
3
u/Live_Bike2667 May 12 '26
yea, i realized that but letter grades were just posted 2 hours ago :(
1
u/Impressive-Ad-8623 May 13 '26
Did you or not. I was off by 2% and teacher still made me pass.
1
u/Live_Bike2667 May 13 '26
I did but my professor hasn't responded and grades are posted on mypurdue so im doubtful anything will come of it.
2
u/Impressive-Ad-8623 May 13 '26
Oof i was thinking of doing similar thing but except mines was team evaluation but I dont know since deadline has passed. Im also doubtful but I hope u do pass. Worst is u need to take course again.
2
2
u/Ok-Breadfruit-3290 May 12 '26
One of my courses doesn’t have a dropdown bar yet does this mean they haven’t uploaded my grade yet?
2
u/Beginning_Entry_1067 May 12 '26
do professors bother checking their emails after final grades are posted? according to my quality points my grade doesn’t factor in my extra credit points wtf do i do??
1
u/AccordingDouble1450 May 13 '26
My final grade uploaded does not reflect my Brightspace grade. I emailed my professor and am waiting for their response.
1
u/Beginning_Entry_1067 May 13 '26
did you get a response back? my professor is fucking “out of office” the day after final grades are out
2
u/Current-Structure352 Materials Engineering 2027 May 12 '26
Im so glad my professor didnt submit his grades at all so my whopping 50% in a class was a B!!!!!
2
u/fromthevanishingpt May 13 '26
If you did well, I am happy for you. If you didn't do well, Ts and Ps.
2
u/Dear-Surround-1015 May 12 '26
My professor had the audacity to post half of my final exam. So I’m stuck with a B+ and I know I bombed the multiple choice section 😬
3
u/Dear-Surround-1015 May 12 '26
Praying I graduate by Thursday 💔
3
u/Inevitable_Tea_9247 May 12 '26

blind box opened i got the chase (passing) hope u are well twinski
3
u/Dear-Surround-1015 May 13 '26
Mine is still not showing up but I used the quality points under “grades” I also passed. Professor forgot to put in the multiple choice section of the final 😂

what are the chances of my 87% in MA 351 becoming an A- if exam averages for my section were 70 and 92 for midterms and 70 for the final
1
u/carvalj CompE & MAHO 2028 May 13 '26
depends on professor, but I guess at this point you already got the result. Did it become an A-?

Anyone know where I’d be able to see something to confirm I’ve graduated?
I know grades will drop when they do, and with quality points I know I’ve passed them, but I just wanna be able to send my parents a screenshot of something that says “I’m Officially Done”. Is that on the unofficial transcript??
