Azerbaijan government who banned hijab in schools is backed by those genocidal monsters.Â

u/Pixel_Peach88 20h ago
Israel also helped Azerbaijan commit ethnic cleansing and genocide against Armenians.Â

Azerbaijan is right to ban medieval and deplorable practices in their schools.

u/AwesomeBrainPowers 18h ago
Do you think all religious headwear is âmedieval and deplorableâ?
-20
u/IranianLawyer 18h ago
No, just the type that is designed to subjugate. I would include the headdress worn by catholic nuns in the same category as hijab, as well as Jewish sheitels.

They're pretty much all ostensibly based around concepts of "modesty", and while certainly some of those claims are more believable than others, I'm curious as to where you draw the line (or how you determine what is or isn't "subjugation").
For example: Why would a sheitel be banned in your view but a mitpachat would be fine?
And why would a nun's habit even be included, when the only people required to wear oneâindeed, the only people permitted to do so under Church policiesâare adults who have chosen to make their profession in a role that has a dress code? It seems apples to oranges, unless, of course, its inclusion in your list was less about explanation and more about rhetorical preemption.
You didn't list kufis or taqiyahs or topis or kippahs, so maybe you just think "subjugation" is whether or not the ears are covered. Am I wrong about that, or do you believe that freedom lives in the ears?
If it's the ears thing, why not prohibit Hamish kapps?
If it's not the ears thing, maybe it's scarf-related: If so, would a Sikh's chunni be prohibited?
Because, ultimately, wouldn't the most significant determining factors on whether or not a piece of religious clothing was "designed to subjugate" be the possible consequences of not wearing it? Clearly, women would suffer no consequences with the state for not wearing hijabs; so long as they were sufficiently protected from social or familial consequences for not wearing them, I'm not sure how anyone could credibly define a woman's choice to wear a hijab an act of "subjugation" (much less a "medieval and deplorable" one).

âThey should be able to ban clothing!â You say when the bigger point was the fucking Armenian genocide.

What the fuck does this thread have to do with the Armenian Genocide (or any genocide for that matter)?

I donât sympathize with these Druze. They work with the Israeli army. Even this women is written in the video that she is a daughter of a high ranking officer working in the Israeli army, and they also try to distance themselves from Arabs so they can be accepted by the Israelis and the Druze are heavily involved and work in Israeli military and they literally work as Trojan horse for Israel even in Lebanon and Syrian. Druze are basically modern-day Uncle Toms. These people think that by bowing down to the Israelis, they will get accepted. You reap what you sow

Which arguably makes it worse since if they do this to a âallyâ they wouldnât think twice to do it to a Palestinian

Unhinged that I see tons of similar clips onlinr from all over the world but only now do you people say the state of Israel is shitty and not the individual. Youâre all insanely racist.

I agree in the abstract that itâs reductive to characterize an entire nation based on a small sampling of shitty behavior by some of its citizens, but there are many posts in this very sub of very similar thingsâwith very similar reactions in the commentsâfrom all manner of countries around the world.

I wholly disagree. Youâd have to be blind to not see that the focus on singling out bad actors in Israel is a focused, targeted attack to dehumanize the people there.
Itâs like that photo of the exceptionally ugly settler. Yes, the settlers who are breaking into the non-Israeli zones are genuinely evil. But posting a picture of an ugly guy and pointing to him like and claiming every Israeli looks like that is outright racism. The goal of such a picture is to dehumanize them. Itâs juvenile, hateful and vile. Itâs no different than when Fox News posts a picture of a particularly ugly black dude and then all but claiming that all blacks look like that.
By selectively posting only clips and information that makes a group look bad, youâre actively spreading blood libel. Itâs hate, pure and simple.
How liberal people (conservatives donât bother to hide their racism) can accept this is absurd hypocrisy. You cannot claim to not be racist, but then fall for the most blatant propaganda that is clearly meant to dehumanize an entire people. And you certainly canât AGREE that itâs representative of the entire nation.

You spent a whole lot of time arguing a point I already said I generally agreed with and no time at all reflecting on the thing I said about the many similar posts about other nations that get posted here on the regular.

u/psychrolut 15h ago
Israeli isnât a race, itâs a nationality. As others have mentioned there are Israelis that are Arabic and Jewish.
And guess what you can hate a nations government run by idiots or psychopaths without bringing race into it.

How did Israel get its citizens so fucking brainwashed? This type of behavior from a fully grown adult is unacceptable and nobody standing up for her makes this so much worse.
