Is hacking sinful?
Of course, I am not going to do it but hypothetically...
I am curious whether injecting into a website without the owners permission would be permissible or not. If it were, what sin would it be?

The Golden Rule can go a long way to knowing what's right and wrong. Ask yourself, if you owned a server, would you want someone to access it without your permission and in ways you don't want?

It depends, im exploiting api's for a living, lawfully mostly, sometimes in the gray.... Im an employed in a law enforcement organisation where i develop new digital investigative tools.
There is also ethical hacking companies, larger businesses hire them to test their infrastructure, products, applications and websites.
Then you have investigative journalists that leverage techbiqes that some consider "hacking techbiqes" to uncover the thruth and publish.
All sorts of ways hacking is done that is not sinful per se....

You answered your own question. You are asking if it is moral to deface someone else's property. What do you think is the answer?
