Node.js dev looking to join a project
I am a Node.js developer with 5+ years of commercial exp. I mostly work with backend, but I can also build apps in react + work on pipelines / devops related stuff. I also have some exp with linux applications ( cpp / qml ). I am looking to join a project, which won't be abandoned in a month. I would love to join as a backend dev, but I don't mind doing devops / frontend work ( as long as I won't be doing only frontend ). My only "no-go" is building ai products ( apps that will not work without ai and it is the main feature ). I simply do not care about those.

I like the sound of the post and I am open to exploring potential project ideas. Also, I am with you on the 'projects that don't end in a month' part. Happy to chat in DMS to see if there is something here. Cheers

It sounds like we align on the ethics and stack quite a bit; the only difference is previous type of work. I know Node.js too, I’m mostly a hobbyist, open source and freelance dev. I’ve made a lot of small programs and projects across a few different stacks. My longest side project took me 3 months to complete solo. I’m happy to work on any small or large project with you and put in time and effort as long as it’s not an ethical slippery slope, like tracking everyones’ input and selling to big data companies, or building a product to replace software engineers. Still open to discussing a SaaS if it’s aimed at a wider audience and focused on learning the process of building SaaSes rather than just profits. Also open to making a lightweight app, game, social media, or something else that’s smaller or simpler than those.
