i really hope i will live to see an age of AI being used to make actual video game AI better. imagine strategy games where the computer does not play with cheats and with basic scripted logic but using actual AI.
It is actually being used in some cool ways for flight simulators. There’s mods that let you do real atc comms with an ai. It’ll use all the proper terminology and I think it even asks for clarification if you say things wrong. Could be done with scripting but the voice is realistic and it can respond to anything you say so it’s kinda nice. I for one really want a game where I can just have a little world with some people, and it would just stay open while I’m working so I could see what the people choose to do. Maybe they make a house and have kids. Maybe a whole city develops in it. Idk, I’ve always thought it would be fun to basically have a fishbowl of ai people
