Fiscal conservatism is a sound strategy in certain situations. The problem is that the current conservative platform doesn't believe in that. They rely on an idealized memory of that. That's how they tie in votes from older Republicans with buzzwords and other things as things have changed. What's happening in the conservative party is catastrophic for democracy. Where a representative argument needs valid points they don't want to debate. True fiscal conservatives honor truth. This administration doesn't offer truth. They offer only lies. I am a believer in debate. I think that's what makes the U.S. truly unique, our ability to change course and do great things quickly. This administration does nothing like that. People like this are leeches. They try to profit on destabilizing a system that could produce great things. They don't actually believe or try to be great. Edit: I've voted Democrat since 2008, am a resident of GA, will be voting Democrat, and would like a room of sound individuals to argue policy. I have no idea what the Republicans have been doing. It is beyond anything I would have ever imagined.
