Greg Abbott sold out our schools by pushing through — forcing through — his voucher scam, after receiving $12 million from an out-of-state Billionaire, Jeff Yass, who has a financial interest in vouchers. It's the largest campaign contribution in all of Texas history. So absolutely, it is the other side to that coin.
The positive agenda is pro-public schools, securing the American dream. The reason why we can't get there under Greg Abbott, is because he sold us out.
It is the same with data centers, right? We have had all these data centers descend into Texas, with the richest tax breaks in the country. They pay no sales tax on the electricity they consume — and we know it's gobs of electricity. They pay no sales tax for 20 years. These hyperscale data centers, right. He's received over $20 million from the data center interest.
And we are losing $1.5 billion a year in Texas.
Texans are mad about being sold out. And in rural Texas, which is mostly Republican, they're big mad about public schools and data centers.

What if you found out that voting was a scam to give people the appearance of choice and to the exact effect of what you made in your comment and have an easy, yet false application of blaming the "the other side?" 😉

Based on the fact Republicans been running the state for decades i think Texans are too worried about trans athletes and bathrooms to care about anything important

Voting conservative when you need infrastructure improvements in rural areas doesn't make any sense. The current conservative platform doesn't believe in it. You would have to go back to Nixon, probably Eisenhower to find a Republican that would consider it.

Not sure where that 1.5 billion loss is coming from. Texas operates with a surplus, not a deficit. The state entered the 2026–27 biennium with a substantial carryover balance (around $23–24 billion from the prior cycle in earlier estimates).
