Expectations v Reality 🌞 🌒 Stable genius fails to understand how a ceasefire works
133
u/JakkoThePumpkin 1d ago
And this is why he thinks he's ended 8 wars, he told them to stop & just assumed that they did.
41
u/Flimsy_Sorbet_7973 23h ago
And he can't even say the names of some of the countries when reading them off his Teleprompter!.....Nor find them on a map!

u/Global_Face_5407 23h ago
This always make me laugh. He did absolutely nothing. He never helped broker peace or negotiate terms of ceasefire.
He hears about a tense situation, he calls one or both sides and threaten them with tariffs.
Regarding Pakistan and India, Modi went on the record to say that Trump absolutely never called him or his Pakistani counterpart to have any sort of sit down to negotiate for peace. He called Modi once, rambled about tariffs to which he was essentially given "k.thx.bye." as an answer and that was it.
The Rwanda and Congo peace agreement he had them sign at the White House ? Whitin a few week something like 300 civilians had been massacred.
But all of this doesn't really matter because apparently he's a time traveler. He claimed to have stopped the war between Serbia and Kosovo. A war that has been ended in 1999.
I know a guy like Trump. If he talks to you Monday and you receive a promotion Tuesday he'll tell everyone that you got the promotion because he told you to go get it. Thing is, that guy is mentally handicapped and that's sort of expected of him to create tall tales to make himself interesting.

I am a middle school teacher. I can assure you this type of thinking starts at age 12, or younger. Parents think they are perfect, they never say no, no consequences.
I was teaching parts of speech and asked one of these little angels to identify what part of speech "apple" was in a sentence. The student replied it was a verb and no amount of teaching could change his mind. He decided it was a verb so it was a verb. Here's where it gets weird: he convinced a whole bunch of other kids in the class it was a verb, and they ganged up on me and tried to change my mind. I know some of those kids knew it was a noun, they just didn't want to lose face with the leader.
And that's Trump. When faced with facts dig in and create your own reality that fits your ego. and don't lose face with your sycophants.

u/Global_Face_5407 20h ago
Thank you for teaching.
It has to be getting progressively harder in current times, where truth is getting muddied by opinion more and more.
I believe Trump is a symptom, not a cause. He's popular because people see themselves in him. They like that he refuses to give up on his ego. That he will never give an inch no matter how wrong he is. They see this as bravery and defiance. They fail to understand that it is a sign of a man that is unable to learn, grow or better himself. They think that whomever screams the loudest has won the argument. It vindicates them into doing the same. They can just galvanise themselves with what very little knowledge they have and be convinced anybody disagreeing with them or trying to prove them wrong are liars.
Humility is no longer something that people seem to even take into consideration. "I don't know" is seen as weakness and stupidity rather than an opportunity to learn new things.
I have conservative friends. They are somewhat moderate, but that kind of ideology is slowly seeping in their mindset. If we talk about something we disagree about and I don't immediately have the answers they're seeking I'm automatically branded an ignorant and my right to express myself is attacked. My absence of facts validated by data is good enough for them. It means their beliefs are true. When I try to explain to them that it's not how rationality work, they accuse me of trying to make up excuses. It is all in jest, we are still friends, but I know that deep down they cannot help but feel that I'm timorous for refusing to factually claim things I do not know for sure are true. They confuse my humility and my appetite to learn new things, even if they go against what I believe, as weakness.

Even countries that didn’t even know they were at war. Not many presidents can claim that - especially Obama.

Art of the Deal! Who needs consent? Definitely not women or children, or people of color. And a foreign policy built on a lack of it as well.

A lot of people voted for that moron. He is proof that you don't need to be smart to get rich, you just need to be ruthless.
69
u/Predditor_drone 22h ago
you just need to be ruthless.
Also be lucky. Also be born to a rich family whose name and resources you can leverage.
If trump were born poor with zero notoriety, he's too impetuous and ignorant to accomplish anything on his own. That's part of why he's the hero for those kind of folk, they're dumb enough to believe it was cunning and work that got him where he is and they think they can do the same.
15
u/National_Ad9742 21h ago
This. If this guy was poor he’d be the annoying person you tolerate at the family bbq because the family matriarch hasn’t kicked the bucket yet and she insists on everyone is welcome.

If Trump were born poor, he would have had to learn skills, empathy, and how to actually deal with reality in a way that isn't backed by the weight of money. He would not be like this, at all.

And yet every day he’s the most aggrieved, the most vengeful for how poorly life has treated him.
He has everything he could want, at the expense of everybody else. Why now do we not tell him how amazed we are?
5
u/HumphryGocart 21h ago
Being as stupid as he is, he realized early in life that the only way he could make a go of it was to be a con man. He knows he’s an absolute failure, hence the massive insecurities. On top of all that, he’s ruthless and doesn’t possess an ounce of decency. In his life everything must be raped

Warren Buffett said it years ago. If you don't care who you screw over, making money is easy.
3
u/mechapoitier 20h ago
I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. I run a business I cofounded right now. It does ok but not amazing. Every once in a while I get in a very understandable mood and I come up with a way pretty quickly that I could make a lot of money but the caveat is it inevitably damages some pillar of society. So I don’t do it.
Trump fans are the kind of people who, if they could come up with ways to do that, they’d do it all the time. They think Trump is the only person smart enough to be like that.

This man is what happens when the bratty spoiled kid who screams in public when they don't get their way, makes up rules during games they say they get extra turns, and just takes things from strangers and cries when they are told no is allowed to grow up with absolutely no discipline and gets told they will always be right and nobody has the right to correct them.
16
u/Eisen-Erik 23h ago
I was in a situation where i met a brutally rich guy in bar. He was constantly harrasing the girlfriend of a friend of mine, saying things like "why not me? Look at him he has no money/value etc." until she hit him. I saw a 30yo brutally rich man, crying and wheeping because he saw his own blood for the first time. Mentally he was kind like a 13yo kid

Yeah, i dont say brute force is an option -never. Either talk to people and learn from each other in a social way and beat people verbally. But this is no human anymore. He rejected every human aspect that is nobel, empathetic and adequate. He should not be allowed waddeling and talking around people without supervision

And a solid third of the country can not see that this is not how truly successful people are.
He could have just invested the money his dad gave him and he would be wealthier, well until this admin.
But his game has always been grift, he never paid for his helicopters, or planes, golf trips, or even his prostitutes- it all came out of some company until he bankrupted them
→ More replies (1)3
u/ShredsHardcock 21h ago
You need to understand that at least a third of the country have never been in the same room as success and are not raised in an environment with successful people. This is why so much of the wealth class starts at the upper middle. Because you live surrounded by it and go to school with it. You learn things and internalize things about how people carry themselves that folks lower on the economic totem pole simple do not. They have the benefit of educated parents. They have the benefit of financially intelligent parents.
Source: well, i, instinctively know what a pair of slacks and a button down looks like, I know how to wear them, and I grew up in a literate household with successful parents, you feel me?

There's a big difference between a liar and a bullshitter
A liar still hold some importance to the truth and defends/distracts from it
A bullshitter truly doesn't care about the truth. Will say anything any time, whatever it is that works for them. And if it doesn't stick? No worries. The truth wasn't important anyway, so they don't care and just say more bullshit. This is literally what Trump does and his base call it 4D chess. This is why Trump can literally say word for word 'I can say the stupider things and you all clap', because that's all it is.

The only point at which the two waring sides unite is when they stop to laugh at this doddering fool. They then go back to fighting.
