It's honestly unforgivable that his run was able to survive only this.
8
u/Groundbreaking_Dare4 2d ago
The mocking of a disabled reporter would have torpedoed anyone's run for office in any sane timeline.
1
u/panicradio316 2d ago
Yes.
It's inconceivable to me to ... don't know, to rationally understand what's happened to the US society to have voted for such a POS even in his first run already.
Bush, Clinton, almost Al Gore but then Bush again, Obama ... and then for Trump? I am still struggling to understand it.
Then again, it actually is a relief to know that Trump actually lost every Popular Vote at least, and versus Harris was sadly a close one.
It's a shame that the PV doesn't mean anything. If Trump had lost due to PV, he would have perhaps never became president in the first place at all.

Really took the veil off the whole thing lol.
The deal was they can be rich and live the kind of life where when you want sushi, you get it from japan, while we accept maintaining the status quo with no healthcare, as long as they understand that if they say that type of shit they are done

It says "In or about 1997" but then says that she told Trump that her birthday was the next day. So you can remember such a detail like that, but not the year?

Yes he is. And leading up to the midterms we should expect Putin to apply more pressure on Trump since afterwards he will be a lame duck and therefore of reduced asset value. We have already seen 2 such moves by Putin: the removal of sanctions on Russian diesel and sanctions applied to the ICC, Of course both these moves have a completely different spin put on them. The question to ask is always "Cui prodest?" - who benefits.
4
u/ItsNotMe_ImNotHere 2d ago
The "energy ceasefire" is yet another Putin move. Though this is welcomed by Ukraine the benefits to Russia are greater.

I honestly don't think Trump is a Russian or Israeli asset. I think every action that he takes would be indicative of one but it's not something that he is doing intentionally. He's just genuinely retarded.
7
u/Gantistewart 2d ago
Just because he's not aware he's an asset doesn't mean he's not an asset! Some of the best assets are unaware that they are such.

Tbh when Trump said he setup the energy ceasefire or whatever, I knew we were gonna see Russia break that supposed agreement. A little over an hour later an energy plant was hit in Ukraine. I want to say that it was almost like Trump was signallinh for Russia to carry out a strike so contact didnt have to be made.

12 years of my life living with that asshole selling us out at the top. Barely started to recover during the Biden admin and *crack*, right in the balls again. This country has to get it together immediately after midterms or we are really cooked. If there are not consequences and major reform to stop legalized corruption.. it's over over for a decent life in the USA for decades.

I believe it's pretty well established that a true genius can never become the leader of a right-wing populist movement. The reason is that the hierarchy does NOT want a hyper-competent leader. They want a puppet they can manipulate.
Trump was backed because many of his wealthy supporters thought he was dumb and easy to manipulate. It's kind of hard not to win when you have the kind of backing he has.

The very founder of modern Western conservatism insist[ed] with brutal frankness that “illusions” and “prejudices” are socially necessary, today's conservatives have coined the term "alternative facts", and studies show that [search for] truth and intelligence is inversely correlated with conservative ideology.
- Belief in Fake News is Associated with Delusionality, Dogmatism, Religious Fundamentalism, and Reduced Analytic Thinking
- Religion and Fake News: Faith-Based Alternative Information Ecosystems in the US and Europe (full article)
- Intelligence is correlated with a range of left-wing and liberal political beliefs. (full article)
- Results confirm that conservatives have lower sensitivity than liberals, performing worse at distinguishing truths and falsehoods
- Conservatives are less truth-discerning than liberals, but also less affected by the congruence of news.
- Across five operationalizations of impaired deliberative thought, hierarchy endorsement increased and egalitarianism receded.
- Conservatism and cognitive ability are negatively correlated.

It's interesting that Putin is the President of burning gas station mafia state and our President takes orders from him. Something's not right.
1
u/SafiyaMukhamadova 2d ago
Is Bubba involved in this you reckon? Although at this point there's more than enough evidence of him being a rapist and pedophile and none of his supporters acknowledge it or care so I don't see why it matters what Putin has on him in that regard. Any compromising pictures Putin releases of him will just be labeled deep fakes and they'll dutifully nod.
And further, does he genuinely believe what he says? Like is he so mentally compromised that he no longer has any touch with reality or is he just seeing how far he can push his followers to believe whatever he says?

I really wish someone would ask Trump if they have fired the person who keeps giving him this in correct information that makes him look unreliable and foolish.
Of course there is no person. But it’d be nice to point out how foolish he looks all the time to his face and than make him look foolish again.

Enough has been said about the constant lies, so I want to focus on the meaning of "energy ceasefire." That would be Russia and Ukraine agreeing to stop using lasers or other energy weapons on each other. So he's put a ceasefire on Star Wars?
4
u/conardcanard 2d ago
Or... a ceasefire on attacking energy production facilities. I love when trump says stupid shit, but this isnt hard to understand. He says enough dumbass shit for us to laugh at, we dont need to be disengenuous.
1
u/EveningAnt3949 2d ago edited 2d ago
It is hard to understand. Not because people think he's talking about lasers, but because it corrupts the word ceasefire, and because your answer doesn't cover everything. Every time we let things slide it becomes worse because we are in Nineteen Eighty-Four territory were words lose their meaning.
What about storage and distribution centers? What about power plants that power data centers? What about interfering with transport? Does collateral damage count? What if it's a storage facility that supplies fighter jets or tanks?
A ceasefire stops active combat. It's a word that has a very simple definition. A ceasefire typically has the purpose to limit human casualties, make delivery of aid possible, and offer the opportunity for peace talks.
Trump corrupts the word so that it means 'temporarily make the price of energy lower so the Republicans won't lose too many seats in the midterm elections'.
