Comparing Sydney Sweeney to Marilyn Monroe is like comparing a 5 year old’s macaroni art to the Sistine Chapel. Laughable. She has never done anything worth praising or celebrating.

Are you agreeing with conservatives about The Handmaid's Tale? You think White Lotus is trash?

i think the real question is how much better those things would be with an actor who could... you know... act

Reddit drools over both. Seems like the masses have spoken previously

I had no idea that was her, but also she wasn't famous yet. I remember her character existing, but there wasn't anything special about the performance. She was what she needed to be, and wasn't supposed to be anything more. It's silly to claim that her casting had and meaningful effect on the success of the series. That's all on Margaret Atwood's premise, the show creators, Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, and many other spectacular performances.

Anything to separate something you hate from something you like despite the obvious direct connection, right?

1.she has been handing out food to the fire victims in Idaho(or washington?) can’t remember.
2. the proceeds for the AE jeans she promoted went to domestic violence charity, providing help to victims, & towards Christy’s program to teach people about D.V.
Don’t know why you would deem those things bad or not worthy of praise.

but i care about people in need and victims of D.V. maybe that’s where we differ

It’s worth pointing out, she only did the DV charity after the original AE jeans debacle…

Debacle where she was crucified for saying she has good genes? Which is a true statement…by most accounts.

Yep, that’s the whole story. Nothing else to it. Not a thing.

More of her not wanting to outright say she’s not a white supremacist after the controversy because that would’ve made all the maga bros angry

no the charity was before the backlash…
DV charity was tied into her movie, the movie she was promoting at the time of the AE job
the jeans have a butterfly on them (representation of DV survivors).
The jeans were made and ready before the ad campaign started. (that’s how retail works)..
Parade did a piece on this charity stuff (july24) the day after the 1st ad was released..
1st ad was the one released July 23rd where she’s talking about not telling people to buy the jeans and then sits in chair. (didnt get neg attention)
after that is the infamous ad that caused a stir and backlash. (ad number 2)
