I don't think it's a joke so much as why you'd bother to do this in the first place. Yes, it would be nice not to pee next to another guy. I am not sure if being between two guys taking a dump is a lot better though, due to smells.

And the ratio is off. Proportionally, that’s twice as many stalls as you’d see in most men’s restrooms.
