There's farrrrr too many moving parts. You'd need a dozen FBI agents involved, a gunman who you could convince who's family is somehow blissfully unaware and is willing to throw himself under the buss? You'd have to trick a crowd who's actively watching. A police force that's completely compliant. Numerous camera angles needing to be faked or a shooter who you can trust to not accidently kill someone important (which is completely insane).

Basically, there's so many failure points on setting up a conspiracy like this it would be borderline impossible to complete it and then cover it up, and then for no one to leak it.

Too add to all of this - this would be assuming Trump is an intelligent man who could organize this and not blow it himself.... But he's a bumbling idiot who accidently leaks shit all the team and never has a cohesive plan.

Given how many mass shootings happen at the hands of suicidal young men every year who know they are going to be killed, it's not hard to imagine one would be willing to do this to help Trump get re-elected. And we know that the shooter was a Trump supporter.
