Quck MD question. Please 🙏
Hey guys, I've been on subs since January. I recently had a quick relapse with Opiates due to boredom and life fucking sucks. I have gotten back on track with my medication. But, I took some extra while getting back on my medication. My prescription ends 23rd. I will need subs before then. Could I make an appointment and ask for a early refill due to relapse? Will a Dr. write me another script or ask for an early refill? Will this hurt my prescriptions in the future? Please help with any information or experience you might have. 🙏

This is a hard one. Most of the time, I would recommend being honest with all health care providers during your recovery. But, there are a few times when being honest will hurt us. I am not sure which time this is.
I personally think this is the time to be honest, though. You've been clean for 10 months and relapse does happen. I hope the doc you see understands this.

Relapse happens, and being honest with your doctor is usually the right move. They might help with an early refill, but it depends on the clinic's policy. Some places are strict about it, others understand this is part of recovery. Better to ask than to run out and end up in a worse spot
