My theory about Olivia and Eden

I've been rewatching Nip/Tuck, and I can't stop thinking about Olivia and Eden’s storyline after Julia gets shot.

Eden has a private conversation with Olivia right after Julia wakes up, but we never learn exactly what Eden tells her. Later, we learn Olivia had been taking antidepressants for months, between the Kidnapping and after the shooting incident.

Here's what I'm wondering: what if that conversation changed Olivia's plans completely?

Olivia wants a facelift and talks about moving to New York. What if the facelift wasn't just about aging or vanity? Could she have been considering changing her appearance so she could leave her old life behind and eventually leave Julia to be with her daughter Eden?

I know the show never confirms this, and there are other explanations for Olivia's behavior. But the timing of Eden's conversation, Olivia's antidepressants, and her plans for surgery makes me wonder whether the writers originally intended something darker.

What do you think? Was Olivia simply trying to start over, or could she have been planning to disappear with her daughter?

I forget what episode it was, but I think it was when himself and Sean were being examined to see if they were compatible for giving Liz a kidney. A person who examined Christian told him that it could be seen that he'd a high sex count. Can anyone remember what exactly it was that she said. I'm pretty sure whether you have an STI or not is pretty much black or white. So if he didn't have an STI, what did he have? I'm under the impression that whatever he had that it wasn't putting others at risk. And did him having this make his immune system stronger or weaker?

For those of you who remember it, it is something I always wondered about. It was one of the more sexy women Christian slept with, and the actress (Mayte Garcia) paying her part was an ex wife of Prince.

So The Carver was in fact a duo. Two people. Which one attacked Sean and Christian? Between Quentin and Kit?

And does anyone know whether it was Quentin or Kit in the other scenes throughout the series featuring The Carver in S2 & S3?

I thought this sounds like something that would be on an episode of Nip/Tuck.

Tomasz Kosowski was a Florida plastic surgeon. After what the client claimed to be a botched boob job, leading to bad reviews and lost revenue.

Kosowski blamed the practices biller. The lawyer involved in the dispute later became Kosowski’s victim, Steven Cozzi. Cozzi’s body was never recovered.

Kosowski was arrested with passport, cash, brass knuckles etc.

He later fired his legal team and opted to defend himself. He was found guilty.

I’m convinced John Hensley must have pissed off the writers something because they forced him to play such an unlikable character as Matt, with such humiliating tasks.

Spoilers ahead:
Theres an extensive list including Matt getting cucked multiple times, made him a meth head and had him get burned. Made him a fucking mime. Had him have to get implants and be a prison bitch. Just to name a few examples.

I always watch the show like. Man, John Hensley played the character well. Was really uncool what they did to your character storyline. You did your best.

If anyone on Reddit knows him it would be awesome if I could get a confirmation one way or another if my theory is correct.

I saw someone post once that Draper is a little better looking, but that they're both good looking. I have thought the opposite... that they're both good looking but that Christian is a little better looking. And I would suppose the reason is that his face is wider.

I know, I know, that beauty is subjective but still would it be possible to establish a general consensus on this?

Christian may be an asshole, but he doesn't look like one. On the other hand, after taking one look at Draper, it's obvious he looks like one of the biggest pricks you'll ever come across.

I remember seeing bits and pieces of the show actually saw a few of them, but man that shows wild. At 13 this was crazy.

Watching for the first time, on my own, and I need to air my thoughts.

Currently on S3 Episode 2 and I had to fast forward through the scene where Matt beat Willam/Cherry. That felt gratuitous, even in light of the other things depicted in this show. Especially when you compare this scene to the kind and progressive way the show treated Sofia in Season 1.

But really I’m astonished by the decision to flip Matt from a flawed but generally well meaning teenager to a horrible person capable of committing a hate crime without any regret? Just two seasons ago he was the voice of reason in his family. What happened?

I feel like Christian is a much more honest person and he was always self aware that he was a POS, plus he was a great father to Wilbur. While Sean might be a better person on paper, I just think he’s very hypocritical and likes to judge in Christian at times as a incompetent plastic surgeon, but Sean also did very shady things as well and before Sean find out Christian and Julia affair, Sean did actually cheat on his wife before that reveal happen and he was dating Megan, but unlike Christian he never really owns up to his behavior when he did shady things. So it’s best to safe to say, Christian is a better and much more honest person in comparison.

Please help me settle something - who is the actress who plays the (uncredited) cashier in the premier episode? My husband swears he recognizes her from another show (and we tried through all sorts of photo AI identification with no results…). Anyone know?

I don't know how to do it, but if someone who does could make a gif or a meme out of this? Feels like we could repurpose that line quite a bit these days.

This one-liner follows a scene where Christian comes into the nail salon where Kimber started working as an electrologist. He walks in with that swagger like he's the king, flips off his sunglasses and immediately insults her: From the queen of porn to this.

The way this scene unfolds is some of the best drama acting I've ever seen in my life.

Christian's behavior is repulsive, like the quintessential vignette of his "slick dick" personality pathology, every word he says and the way he says it, his stinking arrogance. And the way Kimber reacts, trying to put up some boundary and deflect his cruelty, but she's so trauma-bonded to him. You can feel the depth of their trauma-bonded "love" attachment... and that's she's totally addicted to his dick. And like a real addiction, it's not funny, it's seriously sad. This woman's trying to make a life for herself and get away from her scumbag ex, but he's got this power over her, he knows just how to make her feel worthless and abandon herself, while teasing her and turning her on.

These actors deserve an award for this scene.

I guess I don’t want spoilers unless it’s related to Christian’s nose. I remember the episode that he accidentally broke it and then the reset. But it still looks just so out of place on his face when he’s otherwise so into his looks. Basically, I guess in a way I am asking for a spoiler but just about his nose….between now and the end, does anyone ever confront him on his average/imperfect nose or does the subject of why he never had a better nose job come up? Or I’m wondering, sometimes if it’s just the camera angles that take unflattering shots to emphasize his imperfection as part of his character.

I have rewatched countless times. Is there anything else even close to it that I can watch instead?

I just started watching nip tuck recently because I wanted to see more of Julian after watching charmed (even tho he’s not as attractive to me in this show cause he’s a horrible person but that’s a different convo)

Season 2 episode 2 was such a disturbing episode for me, like Clara already had to endure getting her face broken by Shawn’s stupid son and he didn’t even have enough integrity to fess up, now she has to be raped by Henry on top of that?!? Then it’s almost like they were trying to get the viewers to garner empathy for him and now we have to pick the lesser evil bc she can’t get justice for getting ran over without her rapist getting a slap on the wrist like wtf
