Nietzsche used to through the "genius of nostrils" smell what a writer was upto, and I couldn't sense the trembling, hesitancy, and nervousness Kafka was in while writing these words.

The short duration of beauty, of genius, of the Cæsar, is  sui generis:  such things are not hereditary.
