Discussion What happens when you put 2 actual good teams on primetime?

Crazy how that still had a chance

Ill be honest, the initial kick actually looked off to me. Idk if its just some weird camera trickery but that looked like it was going wide until the tip lol

Exactly this. The kick actually had a better trajectory after the tip.
McVay gotta hire an exorcist for his special teams coach cus this shit is fucked lol

Someone on the Pats sub hired an Etsy witch after the Jags game to help drake may. Maybe you could find one for special teams.

What happens when you have no defense between two teams

Yeah, this wasn’t some great game between 2 powerhouses, It was 2 horrific defenses not really forcing 2 great offenses to do anything overly special.
Josh Allen and the Bills basically ran untouched for 10 yards on every play and Stafford was just dropping passes to uncovered receivers.

Its wild how people don't see it this way. I would get it if both teams had 300 yards passing and 200 yrds rushing, but they didn't even have that. Bills couldn't stop the pass, Rams couldn't stop the run. I didn't see anything done that was like powerhouse masterclass. There were like 5 wide open touchdowns scored how the fuck are these two powerhouses?

Both teams had 400+ yards, one did more on the ground, one did more in the air. Both took what their opponent gave them. And it went to overtime. They were within 18 yards of each other overall. This is the second game to a team from that stadium that Buffalo won while losing the turnover battle by more than 1 (though maybe you consider a blocked field goal a turnover).

That was exactly my thought. This is just 2 bad defenses against 2 good offenses. It’s just more fun to watch for the general public but the defenses weren’t great.

Yeah, so many big plays from just terrible defense rather than terrific offensive plays.

RAMS SPECIAL TEAMS DO THIS EVERY YEAR

And yet, they played for a long field goal at the end with a conservative 3rd down play.

Anyone else think it was going left regardless?

The transitive property of victories is absolutely beyond fucked at this point.

Guy on Rams should have moved downward, towards the center. Always protect the inside gap first.
Edited: downward

I think this block saved Mevis from the embarrassment of missing on his own.

Is that not “Leveraging” on 15?
9
u/Bee_Rye85 Denver Broncos 2h ago
No. Its not. He literally walked through the line
1
u/Complex-Leg-8181 Chicago Bears 2h ago
Both of his feet are off the ground at :15 and hand on the back of lineman, absolutely should be a leverage penalty. Enforcing the rule is so dumb, u can probably call leverage on half of the fg attempts.
3
u/Bee_Rye85 Denver Broncos 2h ago
That’s not what leveraging is. You have to propel yourself off the linemen into the air on the block attempt. He had his hands on the linemen when he literally hopped through the biggest gap you’ve ever seen then just jumped in to the ball behind the dudes he just walked past.
