Academics MS in Bioengineering with a Physics background

Hi! Can anyone tell me about the bioengineering ms program? how selective is it? is my BS in Applied Physics considered a strength or a weakness? Should I be doing a Connect program or is a physics foundation considered enough for a normal bioengineering track? I've heard MS programs are cashcows, with columbia being the main example I've seen several times -- they accept pretty much everyone who applies and there are so many MS students that they can't possibly all get job placements in the end... is NEU's "better" in the sense that it's a *safer* / more secure route towards employment?
