Moon Knights entire fighting philosophy is about how there isn’t a punch he’d rather dodge than just tank it. Plus the dude (especially in Houston’s run) is a complete brick house.

The game has named all three personalities multiple times and now in this it shows three suits which 2 we both know to be Marc’s and Steven’s. Could the metal one on the left be Jake’s suit?

Ya so I haven’t actually played this game, Spiderman: Web of Shadows. So when I was a kid I watched this YouTuber called blitzwinger and he played this game and Moonknight was in it. I didn’t know who he was but eventually I found out through osmosis.

I thought it was hunters moon but it can’t be, or is it???

(I don’t nor haven’t played Marvel rivals)

i wanna ask around on how people feel their character was characterized in rivals.

starting with moon knight did you guys think he was done justice character wise?

To start, I love Marvel Rivals, but like many I struggled with getting into Marc as a character because the "random bullshit go" meme fighting style and "my dad Khonsu is stronger than your dad" type dialogues just didn't click right. After using a costume token to get the Mister Knight outfit, I decided to give Marc another go last night when I realized.

The amount of over prep gear he's toting...

The praise for Khonshu for all to see...

The more tactical and position based fighting...

The fact the suit isn't even all white, but almost more academic/noble

What if I didn't see this fighter as Marc Spector, but instead saw Hunter's Moon?

After thinking him as the devout doctor going into battle with all of his tools as the fist of his god made everything suddenly click and now I find myself thoroughly enjoying the character.

While it's all just copium and head cannon, I really do feel like Rivals Moon Knight is a closer representation to the other Fist of Khonshu than our favorite DID patient.

What do you guys think?

THE GHOST RIPPER SUIT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH 😭 hope someone makes a mod for it...

It’s truly absurd, we have the best Moon Knight comics available now, plus decades of great stories to draw from, yet they chose the one universally regarded as the worst.

I still remember the developers mentioning in interviews that comic book characters have decades of history and must be created with respect—but looking at it now, that was all a lie. They didn't understand Moon Knight's personality, early on, they even wrote absurd lines where Marc wanted to erase the Jake and Steven personas, they had other heroes call him a madman—and then, with The Age of Khonshu, they turned it into an even worse story.

They portrayed Khonshu as a genocidal figure willing to kill innocent worshippers for the sake of self-preservation, while depicting Marc’s faith in him as blind. Furthermore, they seemed intent on completely severing the bond between Marc and Khonshu.

What I mean is, even though Khonshu sometimes appears malevolent, he has never slaughtered innocent worshippers in the comics. On the contrary, he would personally step in to save them. Plus, he isn't the type to resort to any means necessary just to survive.

The way Rivals wrote him is absolutely terrible.

It kinda feels like the writers looked at a basic bio of his character and went "oh, he's mentally ill, that means he's CURAYZEE!!"

Like, I'm not asking for a deep dive into the mental psyche of all 3 alters like the comics and show, but the way they make constant jokes about his mental illness just reminded me of that old "Saturday Morning Watchmen" video where the joke is everyone is horribly dumbed down versions of their characters and Rorschach was just "I'M NUTTY!"

That's what this feels like, this isn't Moon Knight, he's a Saturday morning cartoon version of Moon Knight where "at least I didn't end up in the crazy house again!" might as well play a laugh track every time he respawns.

I hate seeing him dumbed down like this, he's just a joke to the writers and the rest of the cast and it paints a really gross picture of how they view mental disorders in general.

And before I see anyone say "it's just a hero shooter, it's not that deep, it's just supposed to be for fun" if fucking Overwatch can portray Sigma's mental instability with taught and seriousness, why can't Rivals do the same for Marc Stephen, and Jake?

Moonknight would make for one heck of a single player game. The use of 3 personalities allows for some interesting ways to tell a story. If wolverine makes sense for a videogame, moonknight would top the charts for its appeal to fans and those whom are not. Cool is cool, and moonknight is cool af.
