TV Series Why did Khonshu decide not to revive him? He is wearing the healing armor yet he got vaporized ?

He implies that Khonshu couldn't resurrect his last avatar, and Blade getting smited by an undead thunder god is different than getting stabbed.

He probably can’t resurrect mark because he’s a zombie, therefore his mind can no longer function so he can’t revive him, also if there’s nothing left of blade how’s he gonna be brought back

u/DynobotSupreme Sep 30 '25
Funny you say that, cuz khonshu can still use his undead fists to fight as seen in marvels blood hunt sounds like khonshu just didn't wanna revive mark lol

Technically the undead Moon Knights showed up before Blood Hunt, specifically in Moon Knight volume 9 issue 12.

Would becoming a zombie count as dying? Also could Khonshu even reverse the zombie virus

Khonshu does this in a Black, White, and Blood one-shot where Iron Man becomes Anubis's avatar and starts the zombie apocalypse.

u/VenomGamer4410 Sep 30 '25
Yeah he’s probably considered “alive” since his body works, and thus can’t be resurrected

Are Marc, Jake, and Steven Moon Knight during Infinity War?
2
u/SmoothJaZZtime Oct 01 '25
Probably, it seems he’s been moon knight for a while. Do you think Khonshu got mad when thanos through a moon at iron man

Khonshu is a dick who knows

u/Mercer8878 Sep 29 '25
Khonshu's not the nicest diety sure but his gift to his high priest are always the same. Resurrection until your mind can no longer function, and even then you can be used as undead back up for the current fists should the need be justified to konshu.

This is also based off MCU. Somehow Harrow ended his service as Moon Knight, but I wouldn’t put it past any version of Khonshu to allow an avatar of his to stay dead so he can find a new one. Plus, Wanda has already corrupted a god at this point, Thor. Greatest god of the great gods aside, maybe Khonshu just doesn’t want the heat.

I mean, a vampire being his avatar contradicts comic canon anyway, vampires are natural enemies of Khonshu because they prey on travelers of the night. So, with that logic it stands to reason Khonshu wouldn't resurrect a vampire...? Maybe?

While it is true that Khonshu has a natural animosity towards vampires somewhat recently Marc hired a vampire secretary and Khonshu hasn’t complained. It’s possible that Khonshu is fine with vampires as long as they are not preying on people. Otherwise it’s possible that the zombie apocalypse has shortened the list of possible recruits forcing Khonshu to be less strict. Also Blade isn’t a full vampire so maybe that’s good enough.

I think the last two points make the most sense to me. Nobody is left that's available and he's 'close enough' lol

Plus the dude wipes out vamps by the dozen
1
u/Guiltykraken Oct 02 '25
Maybe the apocalypse made Khonshu decide that he needed an avatar with some teeth.

u/ISwearImaWriter963 Oct 06 '25
If i remember correctly, Marc founded something like a halfway house for vampires / nocturnal monsters because he believed they also qualified as night time travelers, thus he's Duty bound to protect despite not fitting Khonsus definition
13
u/LoquaciousLoser Sep 30 '25
Probably cause blade’s not your typical vampire and konshu took exception to that
10
u/Apprehensive_Math_25 Sep 30 '25
This isn't the comic, if it was then Khonshu would have kept Marc's zombified body and not find a new Avatar.
3
u/Necessary_Badger_658 Sep 30 '25
I think zombies also qualify as Khonshu's natural enemies in the comic, so a body's desecration in that aspect could also be disqualifying. I'm just trying to give a plausible explanation.

u/Blackwall199 Sep 30 '25
He is the day walker and not a true vampire so it doesn’t exactly go against Khonshu there

When he got hit with the big red beam, he didn't show is skeleton, I'm assuming khonshu saved him at the last second n slipped him in a mini pocket realm
42
u/Inqinity Sep 29 '25
There’s healing from a gunshot; then being disintegrated by a wanda / Thor beam from above. I think it did show his skeleton. That was a full disintegration. Even high healing, that suit is zapped by wanda’s reality warping, fried by thunder, or the time it takes to heal is too long compared to the end of the scene, which wasn’t much longer beyond that

You said you think u saw his skeleton, I know I didn't see it, we aren't the same

This is how I found out so I watched the entire series thinking “oh he is so gonna die right here” but then at the end of the series I was thinking “maybe he doesn’t die” then bam he gets vaporized

Beyond the fact that he was, ya know, vaporized and that he's a vampire- generally frowned upon by Khonshu - there's the idea that if there are no remains at all in Egyptian mythos, there is no afterlife. Perhaps this is the case here. Maybe Khonshu couldn't reach him because he had no trail to follow to the soul. Or he didn't figure there would be a sail to put into the body at all due to the vampirism.

Yes! I was thinking the same! It bugged me so much. It shouldn't have been possible. However, we never see the outcome/corpse, so there's a chance he was just lying there for the rest of the scene.

u/AntiVenom0804 Sep 30 '25
Well key word is vaporised
But more to the point where would he even revive blade? He'd be going into a world of horrors solo

As much as it can be interesting to try and find reasons based on the established lore, the reason I see is that the writers didn't think too hard about it because they needed a way to make nobody else matter besides Wanda and Kamala for the ending. They probably just decided to roll with it.

Because the show is awful chief,
1
u/Major_Lifeguard3684 Oct 01 '25
That’s just not true
3
u/Wisniaksiadz Oct 02 '25
the show is fine, but it is just not finished.
Its like they made full 10 episodes, and then decided to cut it in half to make it into two seasons.
What is this ending

I think it was just ending of the show, I doubt if he revived him it would be instantly anyways.
