Discussion One of my favorite bits from GxK. The nods to Toho and Pacific Rim are great. Hope we get more references like these in Supernova!

Spoiler Ban Lift | Monarch: Legacy of Monsters S2 Spoiler
20
Upvotes
Hey there, Monarch operatives!
As discussed previously with the community, we are now lifting the spoiler ban on the 'Monarch: Legacy of Monsters' S2.
Spoiler tags aren't mandatory, but they are still recommended, so be mindful of your fellow kaiju fans.
Posts won't be redirected to the megathread from this point on, but similar/redundant ones will still be removed as per regular sub rules of reposting and low effort content.

You're telling me she walked an entire forest, through the city, to the news station, while carrying a backpack, during ongoing evacuations, WITHIN A DAY???
Not to mention, she just straight up survives (albeit barely) an explosion from Monster Zero's gravity beams and is fine just a few moments after??
I rewatched this movie a few times (love it) and so far this is quite literally my only confliction, is there something I missed?

Side note: was Ghidorah's consciousness still alive within his skulls even after his main body was disintegrated?

Discussion Watching the final scene of Godzilla vs Kong again and hearing the song lyric “Sleep, silent angel” in front of Kaylee’s smiling face is too much. RIP.

Discussion Going by some of the concept art, I wonder if they played with Mothra being some sort of benevolent MUTO at some point before scrapping it (which was for the best)

Honestly, I am one to believe Mothra is a rich enough character to have her own film

You could argue if she has enough substance or not currently in the Monsterverse to have her own film, but I feel like she could carry a movie by herself if given a good enough story/plot to follow

Discussion Pokemon as Titans
5
Upvotes
I don’t know if a lot of people have discussed this before, but something I have been thinking about for a while is that some Pokemon could be wonderful inspirations for Titans and/or Superspecies.
I personally think Eelektross would be perfect for Titanus Abaia, and Houndoom would be Titanus Hades, but what other Pokemon would you think would fit the Monsterverse, and how would you make them fit into the series?
