My parents made me start babysitting on the first day I was legally allowed to, on my 13th birthday. I was continuously employed until age 25, when I was diagnosed with brain cancer and my employer fired me.

Lawsuit..? Or was it at will employment, so they didn't need a reason?

A day before I turned 14, my mother told me she got me a job and I start the day after my birthday. 🎉 Happy birthday to me I guess. Been working ever since, sometimes 2 or 3 full-time jobs (yes, I even had a job I could sort of sleep during). When I had the 3 jobs, I was also doing instacart, selling my plasma twice a week for a year, homeschooling my kids, and doing all the cooking and cleaning at home. It was fucking brutal and I'm so tired, though less tired now that I left my useless husband. If he ever finally pays the child support he owes, I might get to quit 1 of my 3 jobs. What a glorious day that will be!

I hope your brain is ok now. (That sounds weirder than I mean it to sound)
