My sister and I once drove together to join our parents on a family vacation at lake in the mountains. We were probably around 17 and 19 and forgot a pipe.

This was the way! Easy to DIY, no microplastics, lots of optional accessories, quickly dispose of evidence, and your parents never wondered why you loved apples so much. Pretty harsh with what we were smoking back then tho 😅
I would use the bowl from those old brass piped that you screw all the pieces together. Almost like you could find the parts at a plumbing supply store.
Yesss the 6 mil socket, then melted a hole in the 2 liter cap with a hot paperclip to fit it on perfectly. Possibly could have gotten some plastic, but it worked very well.
Lol ya we didn't buy any weed paraphernalia in the early days. It was it all makeshift. I remember buying my first pipe at the town fair, one of those sketchy little metal ones you can thread the bowl off. Smoking from apples, cans, papers when we could get them, probably getting Alzheimer's from being a popcan bandit.
When I was 13 we had a stone bowl shaped like a penis that my friend bought in Mexico while he was in a mission trip for our Christian school. That thing was awful but it was a prized possession in my friend group at the time.

My clever ass made a clay pipe in art class and stuck it under my mug in the kiln so it actually got cooked instead of thrown away. That was the best pipe I ever had. I should say "we*", though. It was definitely a commuter pipe

My friend's dad was a bigshot lawyer (his kids were total goons), and they lived in a pompous, prissy neighborhood. Big deal was made about the property being sold nextdoor and all these BMWs were parked streeside to gape at the mcmansion. Meanwhile, we're smoking just out of view beside the house. My friend took a hit out of one of those grav bongs and got ripped. Five minutes later, he stumbled onto the front lawn, whipped it out, and just started urinating directly in front of these people. Like, they were 15-20 feet away. I still can hear his sister screaming from her bedroom window.
I've experienced almost the exact same thing and never laughed harder than hearing an old woman on her porch go "omg are you peeing??" as my friend jumps back into his driver seat with his dick still out.
When your face muscles start cramping from coughing so much and the lightheadedness hits... Then you catch your breath and get back in the cyph for another. Good times
Same. I held out a while so my friends really wanted to get me high. After a few gravity hits I told them: “I don’t think I’m high, I just have to concentrate really hard so my head doesn’t float away.”
Buckets! Or waterfall when you just poke holes instead of cutting out the bottom. Also, if bottom is out, you push the bottle back down to force the smoke up.
I do not have asthma, but the one time I did one of these my throat closed up as if I did. Trapped the smoke in my lungs for what felt like an hour.
Once I got free of that, I was so high I thought my bed was a spaceship for the rest of the night. Had to excuse myself from that particular smoke sesh
My friends made one of these out of a water cooler in a bucket. Epoxied a giant bowl at the top and attached 4 hoses. Inevitably, two people would get a good hit, one person got nothing, and one person would have to lay down on the couch for 10 minutes.
We made a waterfall from one of these bad boys once. Poked a hole for a straw so it was like a big, smoky juice box. The smoke got so stale by the 3rd hit lol
I started doing this again bc I'm trying to still partake but lessen the total amount I smoke and it's kinda worked. I went from almost a whole gram per day to half
Fuckin' geebers. We also made waterfalls which was the same thing but instead of cutting the bottom you would burn a hole, fill the bottle full of water, take your thumb off the hole and let it fill up with smoke. You had a lot more control of the water flow and the trick was to leave a little water in there at the end to percolate when you'd take the hit. It was a much more portable and quick to use setup. Sobe bottle were the best with a little weak spot in the glass that would pop out a great little hole.
Gravity bongs hit harder than anything else. I remember hitting one on my friend’s back porch in ‘95 and completely blacking out for about 10 minutes. I came to on his couch with Digable Planets blasting on his parent’s sound system. It was the best high I ever had.
My brother made one in the 90s. Water bottle, little hose, and a nut bolt. Mom had no idea and took it apart and ran it in the dishwasher. We still laugh about it to this day.
I still have my old vaporizer. The kind that’s a box with a heating element in it and rubber tubes attached to the mouthpiece. I don’t even smoke anymore. It’s just a relic of days gone and I can’t part with it.
Instead of a bowl, we used a 10mm socket and melted the bottle cap to mold around it. When we weighed the contents from a full socket, it measured .1 gram. Made it easy to conserve and track how much we were smoking.
We always did waterfalls too where you just poke a maybe pencil sized hole in the bottom of the bottle, fill it with water (while plugging the hole), then put the cap on, released the water, and lit the bowl so as it drained it sucked the smoke in. Found it a lot more foolproof and easier than a whole gravity setup plus once you had the cap made you could just use any bottle and poke a hole in it.
Used to love buckets or we usually called them waterfalls. Poke a hole near the bottom of a bottle and let the water out. Easier then having a separate bucket.
Those and shoots. Bread bag taped to the bottom of a bottle got me messed right up.
We used a large or family sized soda bottle in a paint bucket sized bucket of water. In our parts we called them gravity bongs.
Anyways, I did a gravity bong filled with resin. The smoke was so thick, I passed out and bashed my head on a nail in the wall. Don't smoke resin in giant gravity bongs, kids.
