I think 2026 usually ends with “Personality Assessment” and then being ghosted completely.

Hint, they’re looking for high levels of extroversion, conscientiousness, and agreeableness, mid-low levels of openness (can’t be too open or you might get bored), and low levels of neuroticism. Above all else, extroversion is the most important marker for any role, sadly. They want compliant team-players that will happily work extra hours without extra pay and never challenge authority. That’s what that mix gets you.

Just gotta invent a worksona for the sake of applications/interviews

(we live in hell but it's kinda what you have to do)

Or how about not?

"worksona" What fresh, Corporate dystopian hell are you in?

What fresh, Corporate dystopian hell are you in?

The current job market? Look man I'm being facetious but what I literally mean is that you don't have to actually be the platonic ideal of an employee because nobody's actually like that, you just need to put on an act long enough to not get stonewalled by a useless HR department or filtered out by some AI shit. The actual people you work with/for are generally gonna be a lot more grounded in reality. Yes it's bullshit that we're expected to put up with it at all, but that's just the reality of trying to get a job right now.

"Just be broke as a protest! Moving into your parents basement will fix this toxic work culture!"

Worksona... Does that mean that business casual is just me work-bounding every morning?

Give them the old bait and switch.

How many people even exist statistically with that kind of a personality? High extroversion and high submissiveness tend to be at odds

I think it’s more like, on a scale of extroverted to introverted, which side do you lean more towards. Some of the questions for The Big Five test are like “do you make friends easily”, “are you the first to introduce yourself”, etc.

Unfortunately, where we fall on a social level isn’t directly related to how well we work with our teammates.

Do I feel energized after social interactions? No. Do I help my coworkers? Yes, absolutely.

They're different branches of the personality. An extrovert can absolutely prefer others taking the lead

Yep, it's a giant "Lmao you're never getting employed again, neurodivergents" scheme.

I was literally like… “fuck in the exact opposite of all this” 😐

Why are they afraid of neuroticism? Some of the most intelligent and hard-working people are neurotic AF.

They also want someone just barely able to get by on the salary being offered.

Yeah it's really not that hard. If you struggle with a personality test tbh you might not be a great employee. You think I don't want to call an engineer sometimes and say "wtf is with this design you moron?". But I put on a happy face and do my best.
