Congratulations ragebaiters! You've successfully enraged me. I assume that this is what you wanted so I hope you're happy.
I've taken a pretty light hand with moderating here. Until now I've only removed posts or banned people for egregious problems. But some recent trends that have been filling my mod queue make me dread even checking in anymore. I've gotten to the point where I considered removing myself as a mod and unsubscribing rather than having to check here anymore. But after sitting with it for a little while I decided that if I was going to remove this negativity from my life, then I'm going to remove it from everyone's life. It's what Getter Robo would do.
So here's the deal: I am absolutely 100% done with the whining. I don't care any more about who hates what show. There are plenty of shows that I hate, but I can make do without spamming the sub with memes about how much I hate them. I can even see posts from people who like those shows, and I can look at those posts without feeling the need to comment about how bad their taste is. I can do this, and I believe you can, too. So believe in me, who believes in you.
Effective immediately:
"This show sucks" memes are banned. I have to sift through these comment threads and they're all the same. I'm sick of the relentless negativity and subsequent flame wars. If you can not come up with anything to say about a show other than a bland meme about how much you hate it, then you don't need to say anything.
All tier lists are also banned as a result, because effectively all of them are just a variation on ragebait memes. Even if you post a satirical tier list where everything is S-tier to protest this toxic positivity, that's still banned. If you post a release date tier list where everything is accurately listed by its release date, that's still banned. This whole format is gone.
"Say something nice" memes are also banned. for the same reason.
Asking for hot takes is also banned
Telling other users that they have shit taste is banned. Other people are allowed to like things that you don't like. Insulting other users for liking shows you don't like will now get you banned.
For week one I will issue users one warning, but after that I'm banning for one week on first offense, one month on the second, and permanently for a third.
Is this an overreaction? Maybe. Maybe I'll calm down and lighten up, but I can promise you it won't be today. You can use this thread to whine about me overstepping my bounds and mandating toxic positivity. You can even use this thread to complain about my shit taste (but not anyone else's).

Searching for an anime name from memory. I’ve never seen it, but I remember seeing a clip of it. I think it was a mecha anime from an older release. I remember they were traveling through space when a giant ring appeared, and then a giant figure emerged from it while they were still accelerating.
Sorry if this turns out not to be a mecha anime, or if this isn't the right place to post this.

These are by Hideaki Anno I believe, designs for Gundam.
I'm trying to absorb the essence of what makes Mecha feel the way it does, since I will be working on designing them soon

If you would love to see an official LEGO Gundam set become a reality, please vote at this link: https://ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/f46329c9-60e1-4fbd-b2e4-048ffdac827f
This LEGO Ideas project features the RX-78-2 Gundam, along with three minifigures: Amuro Ray, Sayla Mass, and Char Aznable, as well as Haro. It also includes the Gundam’s signature weapons: its beam rifle, shield, and beam saber. We would appreciate your help and support to see a real Gundam LEGO set become a reality someday! As one of the progenitors of the Mecha and Real Robot genre, it's high time Gundam got a LEGO set of it's own. (my friend and I worked hard on designing this but this is still a preliminary design for Lego Ideas purposes, and the ideal final model would be improved upon by official Lego designers if it reaches 10k votes and it approved)

These are mobile suits form my au mobile suit gundam requiem of the ages, developed by the requiem empire, these are the first combat mobile suits
Jupiter 1 the zudah counterpart had one flaw its engine malfunctioned causing the E wave reactor to explode, it was lighter than previous models and would be limited produced as an interceptor in the first year, it also has 2 wing binders that have vents and small thrusters for assisted mobility with the large main thruster
The struggle was given its name by the designers due to struggle to develop a combat mobile suit, it is an over correction, due to a leed developer relative being a victim of the Jupiter 1 engine failures, they made the struggle heavily armoured with a small engine causing the suit to be slow and low mobility, it was also limited produced as a security unit during the first year of the war
Both the Jupiter 1 and the struggle have design elements in the future ground units
Also Both designs are baced of concept art for my main grunt the crusader mkll

Assuming the game features all the usual missiles, auto cannons, armour, rockets, baddies, etc.
what would be a feature or features you'd be excited about for a first person (looking through the cockpit window) real-time action game. if you could order a game to be made, what would be the top directions?
anything existing games don't have?
anything existing games DO have, that's just annoying?
(missions? customisation? progression? world destruction? weapon variation? loadouts? speed? heat/power management?)
cheers!

This link shows more of the RX-78-2 process. I was always a huge Gundam fan as a kid, and I knew I had to paint this piece.

So, my brother is not a mecha fan, and I am. It is a sad thing cause I don't have someone to fanboy with.
So do y'all, of r/Mecha, have any mecha anime or video game recommendations for my brother (non-mecha lover) to watch of play.
Please and thank you
