VERY late in Season 16...sowwy

So.. hey y'all. I was scrolling on IG and the decision day clip of Shaq & Kirsten & the comments made me look for Season 16. So I'm looking at the scene with Domynique and her mom after t"divorce decision" scene. Remembering her saying her mom signed her up for the show & then looking at the conversation. Mom seems to want her to stay in it...like no matter what just stay with that man. Was the mom living vicariously through her daughter? Or is she from the mindset that in order to be whole, you have to be with a man? I'm almost eager to skip to the reunion but I do want to see everyone's storylines play out.

Did anyone else get that vibe from the mom?

I found it very odd that her mom was so set on her 25-year-old daughter needing/ready to be married. They kept saying Dom was an ‘old soul,’ however I never saw anything that indicated as such. Overall, to me, she seemed like a typical 20-something that is still figuring out who they are, experiencing life, and just finding what they want out of life. But I did not find her mom to be overbearing or even trying to direct her life a certain way. Just wanted Dom to work at the commitment she made by giving it time and effort. I found the reunion to be interesting with the conversations that took place - it also made me sad that the overall communication wasn’t better and didn’t take place sooner. An aside: I also thought her getting a dog was such a good thing for her to do for her own emotional growth.
