Season 18 - Chicago 2.0 Gross hair guy- david is it?

Ughhh, disgusting inside and out. Anyone else fighting the urge to razor his stupid FN side pony?! The girl Madison, she’ll never have close gfs - pathetic and sad.

I’m at the scene where they leave the retreat.

Call me shallow ... but if I was matched up and married to a guy who looked like David, I don't think I could have been very gracious or tolerant. His dimple was cute, but I was so distracted by his ridiculous hairdo that I couldn't get past it. It looked bad down, it looked hideous in his little ponytail, and everything that came out of his mouth was BS. Hard pass on that guy. I felt sorry for Michelle getting stuck with him.

Honestly, TY! Side pony?! Then I saw it all down and barf. Why hasn’t anyone suggested or told him to shave it all off??

They both have issues. His side pony, his greatness, his basement in his parent's house....list goes on....

He calls himself a “great man” and he’s by far the biggest piece of shit in show history.

The idiots Camille and Juan are ride or die’s for both of these weasels.

Anyone who says “imma be honest with you” or “imma keep it 100 with you” that frequently is definitely not an honest person. It felt like every sentence of his started out with that and it drove me bonkers.

Yes, I just finished watching this season. That side ponytail was so stupid looking. He would look so much better if he shaved every bit of his hair off and wore it short. I can understand why Michelle was not attracted to him. I wouldn't be, either. Why Madison was attracted to him when she stated she normally dated "pretty boys" was beyond me. But, I guess to each their own. I mean, between that hair and living in his parents' basement, it would be a big "no" from me, too.

Exactly! Beautiful hair but ugly style for a grown man!

Yes he had fantastic hair. The side pony should’ve only been for like, doing house cleaning or something lol. Literally every other hairstyle he rarely wore was so much better

u/st0rm-glass Will you stay married...? ♥️ 13d ago

All their excuses about “we tried to make it work with our partners, all our conversations at first were about that” are pathetic. Yeah, ok, and catching feelings for the other didn’t seem like a good reason to stop hanging out and REALLY try in your marriage? Gross and disgusting behavior.

Worst part about it is these two really do look so happy together

I hate how his ponytail was always like hanging in his face!

Would it be interesting to contrast and compare Michelle vs Nikki (season 20 Seattle). Both felt they were mismatched from the get go but Nikki tried to make it work? At least for the camera?

You were rooting for Michelle? Yeah, she’s so sweet and kind.

I may be confusing names. I started watching and stopped. The hair guy was married to Michelle, Allen was married to Madison ?

Hair guy is gross.
Both wives have issues
Allen handled it best as can?

Again just started watching and I haven’t gotten to the other couples

Idk to be fair Michelle was in shock. I don't think she realized the extent entering into this process would impact her psychologically.

She married a guy she didnt know and basically the first things he says to her are he smokes cigarettes and lives in his mom's basement.

He didnt even give her a chance to see any likeable qualities before blindsiding her with two things most people take heavily into consideration before dating someone, let alone marrying them.

I think he made a horrible first impression and she spiraled.

That being said, all he had to do was call it or wait out the 8 weeks before moving on with his life.

It's not like they stepped out on long term relationships, its just more so the principal of the thing. The way him and Madison deflected blame on to Michelle and poor sweet Allen wasn't right.

I'm with you. Do not understand the Michelle hate at all. Who cares if she was little judgmental, he put his worst foot forward 2.5 seconds into the marriage and then lied to her face in increasingly ridiculous ways until the end. I'm glad she didn't let her foot off their necks at the retreat. You wanna dog me out when production isn't filming I will *certainly* make sure you admit it on camera. I was actually open minded about his living situation until they went there. Like dude you didn't even clean up? Jfc. Even if that basement was an apartment it was not the living space of a grown man with his shit together.

The cynical side of me wonders if he told her about the cigs and basement living immediately cuz he wasn't attracted to her. Never met a single person that doesn't smoke that would marry or date a smoker, and if he actually saw a future with her he would have went about that convo much differently.

Plus side-pony boy was a pathological liar. Every story of his was BS. He claims he is an athlete & gym rat but he's a lard ass. How do you have a dad bod at 30 years old and still talk about how in shape you were in the past, what past high school. And his stories about how he owns businesses & had big house but was only momentarily having to live with his parents. When everyone knows that dude has NEVER lived outside his parent's basement. He even tried to blame it on culture and also lied & said his parents had medical issues. Every excuse except the truth that he just a loser. He even tried to lie & say it was a separate house like a duplex, also a LIE, there was a door right into his basement where his mother used the washer/dryer.

And it was sickening how the 'experts' & other couples kept gaslighting michelle to make her think SHE was the problem. I agree with the SHOCK factor, imagine being on the show where you are there for the right reasons, then they match you with a total loser who you aren't even attracted to & has literally NO qualities you asked for. I got attacked in real time during the season on this subreddit because everyone was a michelle hater. But I always asked if you were in her position 'what would you do differently from her?'

Nooo because they run back the footage saying "see look you said you'd be okay with this" after they asked her leading questions!!! Rule #1 of learning what people want is to ask a true open ended question

1

u/ESOtalk 11d ago

I have never met a woman who said they want to be married to a dorky, chubby, liar who lives in his parent's basement with bad looks, bad personality & broke (probably in debt even). Please play the clip where she said she wanted that.

2

u/ThrowRA_fishing77 11d ago

They asked her "would you be okay if he lived with his parents if he was saving for a house?" And she said yes. To be clear I agree they gaslit the helll out of her AND the questions they asked don't invite honest answers

2

u/ESOtalk 11d ago

That's my point they blatantly lied & gaslit her. That question is pure BS. That's like your friend saying 'do I look fat in this dress', you can't say the REAL answer (it's not the dress you're just fat), you have to say 'oh what a pretty dress'. She couldn't really say 'hell no, I'm not marrying some broke ass loser'. The 'experts' purposely screwed up so bad/many times women are now literally saying the guy has to make $150-250K/year.

I think you agree with me but for some reason you want me to argue with you. You might want to figure out why.
