Season 20 - Seattle So glad someone finally called Michelle out!

She’s literally done nothing but be judgy and dissect everyone else’s relationship this whole season meanwhile her and Cameron give absolutely nothing! Her intentions do not come off as genuine at all, more like a gossip girl.

Disagree. Michelle was 100 percent correct and it struck a nerve with Nikki.

6

u/whatsnextwithus Aug 26 '26

Yeah Michelle was riding on a high horse

Come down

They needed to check her

6

u/Pretty_Actuator_5568 Aug 24 '26

saaaame! this scene made me so damn proud!

25

u/Uniq_Chic Aug 22 '26

I cannot stand Cam and Michelle. Michelle keeps doling out unsolicited "advice" in her whiny Kartrashian-wannabe voice and Cam has already told half of them they won't make it. I 100% doubt Cam and Michelle make it past their first 2-3 arguments bc Cam thinks there is a magical world where a relationship has zero negativity (aka the woman agrees with him 100% of the time).

5

u/Nechille Aug 26 '26

I feel exactly the same about Michelle. Her voice makes me want to hang myself. She’s so self righteous. The only thing she’s perfect at is imitating the Kardashians. Her comment about Kylie Jenner was weird.

1

u/Justbecauseurontv Aug 27 '26

He had no clue or interest.

12

u/Spiralecho Aug 24 '26

So smug and obnoxious. They went from aw to fast forward in three episodes

4

u/Tricky-Application79 Aug 24 '26

Loll! They were always ffwd for me!

15

u/mistarobotics Aug 23 '26

Absolutely cannot stand her voice

8

u/Tricky-Application79 Aug 23 '26

And the annoying immature laugh that punctuates every sentence.

26

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

I was so happy Nikki called her out. Michelle and Cameron are really judgemental. Also, Cameron telling Michelle about the boys conversation in the kitchen irritated me. Cameron basically set him up in the conversation to say exactly what doesn’t make Belle his “dream girl” and then used it against him. Mecca still wrong for even engaging and giving them ammo

6

u/Pretty_Actuator_5568 Aug 24 '26

and then michelle wasn’t honest about what mecca actually said

6

u/Composer-Conscious Aug 23 '26

or he was just calling another man out on his shitty behavior

1

u/hellacliterate Aug 26 '26

Yeah why wouldn’t he share with Michelle? That’s his partner of course he’s going to tell her

6

u/Witty-Jellyfish-7610 Aug 22 '26

I think they think they are showcasing their team building meadiator skills

15

u/Training-Database760 Aug 22 '26

Lol there’s a difference between Michelle being right/honest and her being kind/caring. At the group sessions during the retreat she was being so tactless, and Nikki was right to call it out. If she really wants to get through to these ladies, it’s better that she come down to earth and have conversations with them rather than make self-righteous pronouncements.

3

u/SussexPondPudding Aug 25 '26

It made me like Nikki a lot more. She and Michelle are playing in two different intellectual leagues.

3

u/doggysit Aug 22 '26

Clearly this was a production call.

19

u/Fearless_Weakness_79 Aug 21 '26

I can't believe how she talks about others lack of maturity and then she cannot wait to run to Belle to tell her what Mecca said. And she completely left out the part where he added at the end that Belle has become his dream girl. Also, the way she speaks is getting kind of annoying, specifically her upspeak.

9

u/BabyChiaSeed Aug 24 '26

Kind of annoying? It’s terrible!

5

u/Sangria_Girl Aug 24 '26

Agree 💯. It makes my ears bleed.

23

u/1gr8tful_lady Aug 21 '26

Michelle couldn't wait to tell Belle what she heard. She should have minded her own business but she wanted to start drama. You can see the hurt in Belle's face when she told her.

9

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

I felt she handled that so carelessly. She left out the context which made it seem much worse. I love how Belle addressed it. She’s a class act

17

u/akjoyfullgirl Aug 21 '26

Now callout Adam. He’s such a pot-stirrer. I blame him for Devin and Caitlyn breaking up.

2

u/Prestigious-Care5956 Aug 25 '26

Nahhh, D n C are at fault, they can't communicate

-3

u/Dixon_Normus12 Aug 21 '26

devin is a dud hes got no game and cant rizz

1

u/nicolandrian Aug 22 '26

IJBOL

1

u/SnooHobbies9847 22d ago

To save the over-40 crowd from searching, IJBOL = "I just burst out laughing". 😁

4

u/usernamelikewhoishe Aug 22 '26

did a Mecca write this

9

u/SarasotaWendy Aug 21 '26

I think most of what Michelle said was true! I don't think she should have told Belle about what the guys were talking about. That wasn't her place!

I would never tell someone something to intentionally hurt them.

13

u/Euphoric-Aspect5725 Aug 21 '26

I think she needed to tell Belle, that is humiliating and honestly shocked Belle wasn’t more upset- but she should know what’s being said about her behind her back by her husband

15

u/smolpeensadboy Aug 21 '26

I would die if I found shit like that out after decision day. And to know the girls had the info and slept on it? Wtf. Some of the people in these comments are nuts.

1

u/show_me_vagene Sep 09 '26

Same, I don’t understand the comments. I’m glad she told Belle. I would have wanted to know

5

u/Barbi3_ok Aug 21 '26

Based on the sneak peek for decision day idek if Michelle got a husband anymore

8

u/Barbi3_ok Aug 21 '26

Nikki and Shawn really be the only voice of reason frfr and sometimes Adam. The rest of these folks act like they not bright.

0

u/SnooHobbies9847 22d ago

I can't believe someone who writes the way you do is judging anyone's brightness. "N&S really be the only..." "...act like they not bright." 🤣 And what's up with "yt"? Do you dislike white people so much that you can't spell out the word?

1

u/Barbi3_ok 22d ago

Its an online forum. I dnt have to write correctly. Get over yourself

2

u/jo-josephine Aug 22 '26

When was Adam the voice of reason?

4

u/Barbi3_ok Aug 24 '26

When he told Mecca he likes yt girls

18

u/No-Airport-3329 Aug 21 '26

Michelle's voice makes me not want to listen to her

2

u/Some_Big_4901 Aug 23 '26

Yes! I started FF through them, her voice is so irritating and they are boring!!! 🥱

4

u/Grandar1 Aug 21 '26

And she has a vocal fry on top of it. Sooo hard to listen to her.

11

u/No-Treat-8079 Aug 21 '26

Right? The constant upspeak drives me crazy. I’d probably ask her if she’s asking a question or is just unsure of herself.

11

u/AdPrimary5896 Aug 21 '26

Major disagree. I’m sure it gets annoying to watch people complain about their partners while refusing to accept what’s obvious and end it. Nikki seems great but it’s not a good look to get antagonistic toward someone calling out the obvious. If Nikki doesn’t want to hear opinions about her relationship, then she should stop bringing it up 🤷‍♀️

2

u/Composer-Conscious Aug 23 '26

yeah to me she was super defensive because she and shawn are just faking it until decision day. michelle struck a nerve for sure

8

u/LevelSquash6796 Aug 21 '26

“Antagonistic” is a bit excessive.

2

u/BabyChiaSeed Aug 24 '26

It’s easy for her to criticize everyone else’s relationships when she thinks hers is perfect

11

u/SubstantialSpell3 Aug 21 '26

Also Nicki will 100% say No, especially after Sean’s being his shitty self the night before decision day.

2

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

I honestly don’t know how to feel about Shawn - it’s like he takes nothing seriously. Why would he cut her off like that and say I don’t need a speech?

3

u/jo-josephine Aug 22 '26

I got the sense he felt what she was saying was performative. And that’s why he said he didn’t need a speech. But holy, pot calling the kettle black

16

u/SubstantialSpell3 Aug 21 '26

Nikki is the mature one on the playground and Michele is the brat who is wearing a halo but causes a lot of chaos

5

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

I actually find both Nikki and Belle very mature.

13

u/Funny_Lake_6604 Aug 21 '26

You know the producers have the group ask questions and say stuff! Half the shit we see is scripted

-7

u/No-You4594 Aug 21 '26

What is Sean ,15?
He has a new wife but goes home for mom’s birthday?
Jeeze

3

u/thissagesimmer Aug 21 '26

I’m just wondering if it was really his mom’s birthday.

8

u/heymamore Aug 21 '26

What do you mean? What’s the issue

-1

u/No-You4594 Aug 21 '26

New wife… spend time with her

No, I have to go home for mommy’s birthday..
And that’s why he’s been single all these years

4

u/StOpRePuBs24 Aug 22 '26

When your mom is over 70, you go see her on her birthday, you don't know if they'll have another, that was the first decent thing I've seen him do. I feel sorry for your mom, if she's still around.

0

u/No-You4594 Aug 22 '26

He can go next week…it’s the getting together that’s important not the specific day….
Says my 86 year old mother

2

u/StOpRePuBs24 Aug 22 '26

Well, my 81 year old mother passed away a day after her 81st birthday, so had I not seen her on her birthday, I would feel so much worse! There's absolutely no reason Nikki couldn't have gone on a cute little trip with him, that would have been more important than being with the other couples on camera, apparently being on a show is more important to some people.

2

u/No-You4594 Aug 22 '26

Fair enough

12

u/No-You4594 Aug 21 '26

Michelle was dead on…

Nikki was glad Sean wasn’t there…

19

u/VirgoInFormation88 Aug 21 '26

Michelle should mind her business, but she isn’t wrong! Nikki had no business being at the retreat alone. Go be with your man in NY and celebrate his mom’s birthday!! She don’t like that man and Michelle hit a nerve!

3

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

I am a little surprised she didn’t go with her husband to NY but maybe it had something to do with their contract /production.

3

u/VirgoInFormation88 Aug 22 '26

I don’t think so. If production forced her to stay, then they would’ve forced Shawn to stay too. I’ve been watching MAFS for a while now. Production works around the cast members schedules. Nikki doesn’t want Shawn meeting her mother and she doesn’t wanna meet his!

2

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

Shawn did meet and talk to Nikki mother. Remember the scene when she was trying to cook and she called/Facetimed her mom. He was chatting with her mom too

2

u/VirgoInFormation88 Aug 22 '26

The phone doesn’t count and neither does the wedding. Nikki is performing her behind off b/c a lot of y’all are falling for the okie doke.

1

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

Why wouldn’t they count? Falling for what okie dokie? Wild assumption because I don’t think they’ll make it. You just said they hadn’t met each other’s mothers and that’s not true.

9

u/hustlegone Aug 21 '26

No Michelle only feels good about her relationship when she seems to put others down. She seems like the mond of woman to allow a man to get away with anything as long as he stayed with her. She just happened to not get an idiot as a bf. She thinks in order for her relationship to do good others have to be bad. I also noticed some of the guys were trying to get Mecca to say something stupid so they can tell their wives about it to make him look bad so they then can say see Im not like mecca so our relationship ship must be great. Mecca is so dman stupid he cant see it is a trap. Plus he is probably gay and not attracted to her.

23

u/Lorac711 Aug 21 '26

Michelle has no personality. She’s so boring. I think she tries to be interesting by badmouthing the others.

3

u/SetPsychological9620 Aug 22 '26

She is a pick me for sure

11

u/IllFreedom4310 Aug 21 '26

both her and Cameron are the biggest gossips

13

u/thuggybanx Aug 21 '26

Michelle was 100% right. In fact Belle basically repeated what she said. On top of that Belle needs to take her own advice.

3

u/Composer-Conscious Aug 23 '26

belle was projecting when talking to nikki and i was surprised mecca clocked it

12

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

The fact that so many ppl on here think they’re performative bc they haven’t had drama a mere TWO MONTHS in is WILLLLLDDD. They’re the only couple this season to exhibit good communication and people’s distrust in that makes me wonder about the quality of their relationships and their own expectations around what healthy communication looks like.

3

u/hustlegone Aug 21 '26

She seems like the woman who in order to make herself look good or her relationship look good she has to point the flaws in others. In fact her and him are both like this. The guys were waiting Mecca with those questions. He is such an immature idiot he fell for it. They then went back and told their wives of the drama they actually started. I really wished the experts would call them out on it.

13

u/CaptainNegative1483 I'm a good person!!! Aug 21 '26

Playing telephone isn’t healthy communication. There was no reason for Cam to tell Michelle but more so there was no reason for Michelle to tell Caitlyn nor Belle. Mecca might be a lot of things, but he was probed with that question multiple times.

Cam also did something similar the next morning when Devon and Caitlyn had a fight. He “joked” about couples swapping when he knew that his comment is poking a wound.

2

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

I’m not talking about their communication with the other couples. I’m talking about the way they communicate with each other, which is healthy. And Michelle was right to tell Belle, even Belle was glad that she told her. Mecca said what he said and he deserves the consequences. Yall are blaming the wrong ppl for this.

2

u/Tricky-Application79 Aug 23 '26

The way they communicate is so surface level with the veneer of maturity. He’s gonna run for sure.

14

u/Kn0wvah Aug 21 '26

She has the mental capacity of a fifteen year old. It’s gross. She has the high schooler vibe, including the voice. It’s gross. So happy they humbled her.

14

u/marsharlot Aug 21 '26

Honestly Michelle and Cam are both instigators. It’s fine you both as a married couple to talk about what the ladies and guys talked about, but don’t be airing out other people’s issues especially when it’s been shared in confidence. Again, it’s a reality show you have to stir the pot

4

u/Kooky_Bumblebee_1780 Aug 21 '26

Michelle is very irritating and a hater. She gives me the ICK for sure. Girl get and mind your own business little messy

12

u/untrustingmyself Aug 21 '26

Why do Michelle and Cam act like they're better than everyone for not having as many struggles? Yall aren't the marriage counselors!

They should be rooting for the other couples.. It's not a competition. Not saying Nikki and Shawn are perfect.. but why is Michelle and cam in everyone's business?

2

u/BabyChiaSeed Aug 24 '26

It bothers me how they basically mock the other couples

1

u/Composer-Conscious Aug 23 '26

i don’t think they’re acting like they’re better. i think they both see that these woman deserve better. i don’t think michelle could comprehend why belle would ever stay with mecca after that. it might not be their business but they’re all on a show together

1

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

My question is were they even living together like the other couples? I thought I heard her mention something about the distance being hard but he made efforts to come visit 🤔 perhaps I misheard

8

u/thuggybanx Aug 21 '26

because they see all the BS. None of the other couples belong together and they see the behavior for what it is

3

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

They need to be worried about their own relationship and not judging others because like Nikki said they only get a snapshot of the relationships during group gatherings, they don’t see the entire picture.

2

u/thuggybanx Aug 22 '26

I dont think you need to see a whole pic to point out BS.

13

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

I dunno. I don’t think the other couples should be rooted for. I don’t see an issue with Michelle calling out disrespect and encouraging the girls to value themselves. Why should she or anyone root for Nicki and Shawn when Shawn is a piece of shit? Ditto for Belle and Mecca. And for Tori and Felipe. All those women deserve better.

3

u/Training-Database760 Aug 22 '26

If it was coming from a place of care, I wish we would’ve seen her have more 1:1 conversations with the ladies about what she sees. Yes they deserve better but no one deserves to be told to their face that they don’t value themselves, in front of other people.

18

u/untrustingmyself Aug 21 '26

That's a good point! I agree with calling them out on their BS because most of these women deserve better. The problem for me is it feels like it comes from a place of superiority, not genuine concern.

2

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

I can understand why it feels that way to some people. And I do think there’s some level of smugness in the security they feel in their own relationship compared to the other relationships. I find that very relatable too, though. I know when I’m watching these couples I’m also thinking “man, I’m so fucking lucky to have found my guy and I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with this bullshit”. I also feel a kind of relief and “wtf are these idiots doing” when I watch these couples so I get where Michelle and Cam are coming from. And I think most ppl in stable happy relationships would feel that way watching the other couples. It’s just that Cam and Michelle are having these thoughts on camera.

2

u/Tricky-Application79 Aug 23 '26

But she’s asking for them to have self-respect when she herself adjusted her relationship requirements.

1

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 24 '26

She adjusted her relationship requirements around income and place of residence, not around the level of care and respect that she demands of a partner. Belle and Nikki are tolerating mistreatment and disrespect. Totally different.

9

u/Jmmitche2 Aug 21 '26

The way Michele twisted what Mecca said was insane and the way Cameron totally broke, bro code by telling all the girls what happened in their conversation was out-of-pocket

3

u/Only_Scheme_3l3 Aug 21 '26

Did Michelle actually twist what Mecca said? I don’t think so. I believe that Belle should have all the info to make an informed decision on DD. Now she does

3

u/Jmmitche2 Aug 21 '26

She completely twisted what he said. Adam asked him what his dream girl would be repeatedly. Mecca didn’t answer. Finally, Mecca said his dream girl would be a little thicker. Michelle told her that Mecca was saying negative things about Belle and that he wants a girl with bigger titties. That’s very different. Mecca also said he could see himself growing an attraction to Belle. None of that was mentioned.

1

u/Only_Scheme_3l3 Aug 21 '26

Belle can sit and ask Mecca about what he said, what he meant by it and where exactly she stands with him in relationship to their marriage. If Belle wants to bury her head in the sand that’s on her.

As far as attraction, it seems like Mecca has been trying to grow an attraction to Belle for forever. Generally speaking, with immature people, especially immature men, that doesn’t work well. As Mecca will prove shortly.

1

u/Tricky-Application79 Aug 23 '26

No one used that language on screen tho.

19

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

Fuck bro code. Bro code is exactly why abuse and disrespect of women gets swept under the rug and excused.

0

u/hustlegone Aug 21 '26

They egged mecca on to come uo with an answer. He clearly didn't want to answer it. They instigated it to make him look bad. His dumb ass fell for it.

1

u/Composer-Conscious Aug 23 '26

mecca is full of shit. he told them his preference and then chose two woman that still didn’t fit his stated preference when asked who he would swap with

2

u/smolpeensadboy Aug 21 '26

He's still immature at his core for caring so much about chest size at all. Liking big boobs is fine, being this far in and still acting like it's an issue is crazy. If you're so pressed on looks why come on this show? He sucks.

0

u/hustlegone Aug 21 '26

He didn't act like it was a big deal. They were bugging him to say traits.

5

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

That’s the thing! He may have been egged on but he was still the one who said it. A mature man would’ve known better and Belle deserves a mature man who knows better. Im just so mad about this. I was rooting for Mecca! I felt so much empathy for the way he feels unlovable and is doing everything he can to push her away and test her commitment. But his wounds aren’t an excuse to turn around and hurt Belle. She’s kind and beautiful and so supportive of him. She really deserves so much more.

1

u/hustlegone Aug 21 '26

Agree. He is an immature idiot.

6

u/Jmmitche2 Aug 21 '26

Dude, be so serious. People should be allowed to have confidential conversations and expect that it’s not going to leave the conversation. The way that Cameron did it was Hella toxic he twisted what was said and made it sound way worse he didn’t include the fact that Mecca was being grilled by Adam. He didn’t just offer that information. Cameron’s a shit stirrer. I’m not saying Mecca an angel, but that was some bullshit.

11

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

Confidential conversation in front of cameras in a house where any of the women can walk in on what they’re saying? Dude, be serious.

4

u/Jmmitche2 Aug 21 '26

Dude was legit grilled by Adam about what is his ideal women repeatedly, Mecca finally answered, and then Cameron flipped it to make it sound like something it wasn’t. None of them see the episodes until the show is long over so in the moment it was a confidential conversation.

10

u/hamHamAlucard Aug 21 '26

They’re on camera

16

u/GingerMuskRat Aug 21 '26

I take her as a pot stirrer. Creates gossip, has nothing positive to say about any couple and secretly wants them to fail.

6

u/Silent-Woodpecker-88 Aug 21 '26

And Cam saying Michelle is bringing the butter and salt and he’s bringing the popcorn. Totally shit stirrers for sure. They went into that retreat wanting to get in everyone’s business.

4

u/S1WSTEP Aug 21 '26

Yes, yes, yes, and yes!

10

u/Jmmitche2 Aug 21 '26

What’s crazy is I actually think Shawn and Nikki are doing better than some of the other couples right now in terms of trying to grow their relationship.

9

u/VirgoInFormation88 Aug 21 '26

Nah. If that was the case, Nikki would’ve accompanied him to NY to celebrate his mom’s birthday. She doesn’t like him, but she hates to lose.

1

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

I mean they’re filming a tv show and have contracts. Was it an option for her not to attend the retreat?? The fact that he had to wake up early after the first night and fly across the country screams contractual obligations.

14

u/Educational_Aioli_78 Aug 21 '26

I think Niki will be a no

8

u/Jmmitche2 Aug 21 '26

Oh I agree. But I think they are trying.

11

u/Doobie_and_a_movie Aug 21 '26

Seriously is she applying to be an expert and she lowkey wants to see the other couples fail

14

u/SomewhatBougieAuntie Aug 21 '26

I was so glad when Nikki checked Michelle! She and Cam are so darn smug and it's very off-putting. They are a couple of messy pot-stirrers.

https://giphy.com/gifs/oJsvwEOFg2C3HivweG

7

u/Educational_Aioli_78 Aug 21 '26

Michelle is a bit of a shit-stirrer and it did seem as though she was pushing for a few breakups!

1

u/greenyellowbird Aug 21 '26

A little? She told the other borning one that what Mecca was saying the night before .

35

u/InterestingBit54 Aug 21 '26

Michelle needs to be humbled truly. She got lucky with Cameron, she doesn’t have some moral superiority. If she didn’t get a 6’4 guy she was attracted to she would be struggling and trying to navigate her relationship like the rest of them.

If cam was ugly she would have been acting just like Caitlin and Courtney. Be so for real

1

u/Tricky-Application79 Aug 23 '26

I wonder if she would just have moved the goal posts though-she seems very malleable and not someone who stands on her convictions…exactly why she’s accepting Cam’s salary.

9

u/S1WSTEP Aug 21 '26

Michelle is gonna get humbled when she realizes that Cameron‘s never gonna make more than $100k in his life.

22

u/Straight-Wrangler-46 Aug 21 '26

I agree.  They(Cameron and Michelle) act like they have it all figured it out.  They have no idea what is in store for them. They need to humble themselves, before life teaches them a lesson. 😒

1

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

It kind of concerns me that they haven’t had any disagreements they’ve had to work through. It’s obvious they’re still in the honeymoon phase.

6

u/jayceefay Aug 21 '26

I want to be there when life gives them a pointy steel toed kick in the crotch. Gah they are insufferable. Glad Nikki cut her ass down to size.

0

u/hustlegone Aug 21 '26

She did it so quickly. She was speechless and so was Cam

14

u/Immediate-Ad2533 Aug 21 '26

Felipe is just such an a-hole. He is relieved that she is ending it and didn't give her much support or reason to stay. He is oblivious that he behaved as though it was entertaining that every one else think he'll be a cheating jerk. What a tool!!

2

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

I wonder what he told Tori off camera leading up to decision day .. the suspense is killing me lol

6

u/ok_thinkingasthmatic Aug 21 '26

Yeah I was annoyed Caitlin even inserted herself. The man wasn’t trying to keep his wife. She gave him all the lines he needed to regurgitate to Tori for her to decide to keep trying with him

1

u/Only_Scheme_3l3 Aug 21 '26

True indeed… however, at some point, Tori has to stop 🛑 allowing herself to be lovebombed (and buying into it) by immature idiots.

She needs to learn about narcissistic behavior and techniques because it’s clear she continues to get trapped by s!utty arse males who also have narcissistic tendencies. Like Felipe.

Tori recognized who Felipe truly IS the first night she had sex with him. Full stop 🛑 Yet, she continued on only to see that her FIRST MIND was spot on 🎯He original love bombed her and then he plays victim and kissy face to rekindle their spark. 🤦🏽‍♀️

30

u/Appropriate_Box8098 Aug 21 '26

For me, it was the day she said “I know it’s not a competition… but we are winning”. That and her voice.

2

u/meredithsbangs Aug 22 '26

Yes! She just sounds sooo whiny! I have to forward it when she talks.

15

u/jayceefay Aug 21 '26

It’s the combination of voice and that smug look on her face. 🤬🤬🤬

u/ApplesAndJacks Aug 21 '26

Smug and rehearsed

14

u/Unlikely-Rip-9548 Aug 21 '26

Some of the worst vocal fry I've ever heard.

1

u/Timothahh Aug 21 '26

I think the Worst Vocal Fry award goes to Felipe trying to be apologetic the next morning

1

u/UncleTupelo1082 Aug 21 '26

Caitlin is the worse

4

u/MightyMormont Aug 21 '26

Sometimes it was so bad (along with her inflections) I thought she was drunk

3

u/sophia_zbornak Aug 21 '26

Yes! Hate her voice so much!!! Gash

11

u/Money-Toe1672 Aug 21 '26

And the upward inflection in her voice at the end of every gd thing she says 😵😩

11

u/Ill-Television-2796 Aug 21 '26

there is something that comes off self righteous about her and i think it has to do with her feeling lucky she hit the jackpot. because she’s not needing to spend energy resolving stuff w her person she has all this extra time to be involved in everyone else’s relationship.

2

u/ok_thinkingasthmatic Aug 21 '26

She actually should be. But I think the idea is to ensure cam falls in love with her fully before they circle back to the issues they have, like him giving up his job to move to Seattle, his lack of income, his finances, her next fibroid surgery, her desire to have kids in the next 2 years, the list goes on

16

u/unnamedprince Aug 21 '26

the only reason why michelle and cameron are doing so well is because they haven’t faced any real conflicts. michelle thinks they’re the blueprint for success which is very arrogant

5

u/ok_thinkingasthmatic Aug 21 '26

The should have conflicts. But Michelle buckled at each of them. Everything she said she wanted she apparently doesn’t care about anymore. Can I think in hearing how financially well off she is feels good about hitching his wagon to her

2

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

She’s such a pick me

9

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

I think this often happens in relationships when you find your person. She even said that she realized the income expectation she had set for a potential partner was not as important as she thought it would be when considered with the full picture of who Cam was and everything else he had to offer. Before we find our person I think we all do this to some extent. We have a bunch of superficial expectations and ideals (like Mecca and big titties) that fall away (as they should) when you form a deeper connection with someone.

3

u/weednaps Aug 21 '26

i mean for this show they kind of are the ideal example of success

-3

u/unnamedprince Aug 21 '26

ehh I disagree. they seem highly performative for the sake of keeping up a persona of being the couple with the least issues. i’m interested to see what happens when the show is over, the cameras are off, and they have no one to compare themselves to.

6

u/nycgirl4everr Aug 21 '26

I thought of this too, but then remember that couple from a way back past season that never had a disagreement but made it? The Dodds have 3 kids now. Hopefully they have fought by now though!

1

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

That couple you’re referring too did have disagreements and challenges. Remember the whole fostering dogs thing lol

2

u/Tricky-Application79 Aug 23 '26

I do wonder what it will look like when they have a disagreement.

11

u/redskiwedski Aug 21 '26

Not to let her off the hook for her words, but the stage is also set for this stuff by some of these group games, which are designed to cause trouble, and the first one at the couple's retreat did that like crazy -- someone even said something like 'I hate these stir the pot games.' They end up serving as an invitation to be far too "honest," and it was night time, and people had been drinking -- and could do so freely, not having to drive home but just go off to their bedrooms afterwards -- and it was all either intentional on the show's part or it just got "lucky" with the fireworks that ensued.

u/Opinionated6319 Aug 21 '26

I’m glad someone finally called her out about her attitude…i was so disgusted by the conversation between Michelle and Caitlin acting like smirking high school girls plotting to tell Belle about Mecca’s comment that he preferred bigger boobs was downright mean, especially after Belle discussed the hurtful comments Mecca had already made.

On top of that, Michelle betrayed her husband’s trust because he was the one that told her that and more than likely he didn’t expect her to broadcast gossip!

9

u/ok_thinkingasthmatic Aug 21 '26

I would’ve told belle if I was Michelle. This girl is still defending this man as if he’s a baby and just doesn’t know any better. This is a full grown man talking about YOU, his WIFE. Wake up. He’s literally talking about your body in the company of other men, saying you need a boob job and he’s afraid to ask you. What are we doing here??

1

u/Crafty-Pineapple5804 Aug 22 '26

I think she should’ve ONLY told Belle. The whole house knew before Belle because of Michelle and Cameron. That was a one on one conversation. The way she said it and when she did came off like she was trying to humble Belle.

4

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

THANK YOU! I don’t understand why ppl are out here saying she’s gossiping and she shouldn’t have told Belle. Any woman would want to know this.

1

u/Independent-Tree-364 Aug 21 '26

I think Michelle also purposely stirred the pot with Caitlin because Mecca also said with the boys that he could see Belle being his dream girl. I think it’s fair for someone to have a preference but I also think Mecca is immature and doesn’t deserve Belle. BUT idk Cameron and Michelle have been messy and it seems they think they’re better than the other couples (which they kinda are but the other guys are exponentially worse)

6

u/GeorgiaJeb Aug 21 '26

I like she and Cameron but that part SHOCKED me. It was so judgmental and totally lacked any true insight or empathy. It was like she was talking just to talk!

5

u/sierra120 Aug 21 '26

I wonder how much is the producers telling them to start drama. It could just be her or it could be the voices in her head.

3

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

I really get the sense that producers are putting this on them.

3

u/GeorgiaJeb Aug 21 '26

I think you’re hitting the nail on the head! That comment was so out of left field. This would really explain it!

16

u/ThoughtCenter Aug 21 '26

Since we’re talking about Michelle… what is up with the way she speaks??? She extends the pronunciation of words and you cannot tell if she is saying a declaration or asking a question… then she does baby voices… and is judging just to speak… calm down with piping in! And use your adult woman voice instead of being so squeaky baby girl mollified and seemingly sweet when you spew judgement and are not helpful.

3

u/Sensitive_Diamond_18 Aug 21 '26

I call it the Instagram/Influencer voice. The one that rides the jet ski has the male version. Very Tana Mongeau/Paul brothers. Their verbiage and tone is heavily influenced by the internet and not so much the region.

1

u/redskiwedski Aug 21 '26

This is the one I fundamentally agree with, I thought the point about the West Coast was where it began, not to where it is endemic. Also, it's kind of downstream from valley-girlspeak, which is of course West Coast in origin. But what's universal about it is the most important part, which is, it's incredibly annoying.

2

u/ThoughtCenter Aug 21 '26

Great observation! It’s just pandering and not authentic, in my opinion.

4

u/Disastrous-Weight393 Aug 21 '26

It’s just west coast

2

u/ThoughtCenter Aug 21 '26

Can confirm, NOT west coast.

5

u/x_littlebird Aug 21 '26

Sitting here in Seattle. as someone raised here, I do not speak like that and it drives me insane.

1

u/ThoughtCenter Aug 21 '26

Agreed. NOT west coast. She is so very performative. Does NOT represent west coast nor intelligent women.

4

u/redskiwedski Aug 21 '26

Actually it reads as more generational uptalk, every sentence ending more with the sound of a question than a statement. Wouldn't be surprised if it originated in the west coast, but it would be a lot better if it was just confined to one place. It's ubiquitous.

1

u/thissagesimmer Aug 21 '26 edited Aug 21 '26

Definitely not a generational thing where I’m from but someone might be offended if I said what we called it so I will just say it’s a toned down valley girl but this is not new.

1

u/thissagesimmer Aug 21 '26

Edited, hopefully for clarity

2

u/ThoughtCenter Aug 21 '26

Can confirm, NOOOT west coast. More, she is performative.

4

u/Disastrous-Weight393 Aug 21 '26 edited Aug 21 '26

I hear you on the generational point, but you’re not gonna walk into a corporate meeting and talk like that in New York. Even younger people will switch it off depending on the setting. Whereas, it’s more normalized on the west coast in all settings. For context, I’ve worked with bicoastal teams, nyc-Seattle and nyc-sf, and this is just something I’ve noticed. I’m sure experiences vary, but that’s been mine.

5

u/redskiwedski Aug 21 '26

That has the ring of earned experience, and I have no reason to doubt you are quite correct.

2

u/ThoughtCenter Aug 21 '26

Noooooo way! Can confirm, NOOOT west coast. More, she is performative

18

u/mary222222222222 Aug 21 '26

I get the distinct impression that the couples are being encouraged to criticize and assess each others relationships. Which leads to a bunch of “therapy speak”. It’s off putting to me— I’d rather the “experts” Chime in where needed

4

u/CucarachaAYAYAY Aug 21 '26

Same. I wish the experts actually encouraged self-work and reflection. Instead they chime in to gaslight, tell ppl to ignore their gut and feelings, and pressure people to do uncomfortable physical things.

9

u/Disastrous-Weight393 Aug 21 '26

Yeah that’s all that’s going on here. They always prompt the couples with less internal issues to stir the pot with others. And yeah… Nikki’s relationship is “different” in that she’s totally mismatched and ordinarily would never be giving Shawn the time of day. And if this weren’t being filmed, she would have left at the altar.

9

u/GeorgiaJeb Aug 21 '26

That’s actually a really great point- and it explains why some of their comments seem to just come out of nowhere.

6

u/ProfessionalCow7573 Aug 21 '26

100% agree!!!! While I think it can be nice to speak and commiserate with someone going through the same experiment, none of them are qualified to really critique.

7

u/bd2000chi Aug 21 '26

love michelle but this is true

17

u/Golden_Lafayette Aug 21 '26

Michelle deserved all of that smoke from Nicki. That was very well said on her part because she was right about that with Cameron & Michelle. They think they’re high & mighty & can judge anyone because they’re successful as a couple & it’s very corny.

6

u/Trimzonawhim Aug 21 '26

And coming from someone who's been married 24 years next month, it's a bit early in the marriage to be acting so judgy tbh. Michelle and Cam haven't even had their first real fight yet so they really should just chill. But honestly... if it wasn't for the mess, they probably wouldn't get much screen time 😫
