Season 20 - Seattle what tf is that supposed to mean?
Courteney says “I don’t think you guys are as confident as us women are. And I’m not like a “me too” girl like whatever. I think that men and women are great. In a relationship both people have to be confident”
“Me Too” was a global campaign against sexual assault and harassment. How’s that the antithesis of confidence?
* Edited because I accidentally misspelled her name

She doesn't know what happen on Jan 6th and she doesn't know what "Me Too" was about. I think, she thinks it means, girl's girl.

I don’t like her AT ALL. But I will say that in another thread, someone who went to high school with her called her ditsy and then agreed that Courenteney was “stupid af.” So yeah, I think she meant “pick me.”
3
u/Civil-Nectarine-2851 Aug 04 '26
This should scare her husband because she keeps talking about how the snuggles on the honeymoon asked her will and now she says this “Me Too” statement. They do not need to get intimate because I have no idea what will come out of her mouth. She doesn’t think.

u/Ill-Constant-2997 Aug 03 '26
The "me too" movement got hijacked by the women's right nuts with frivolous claims and as a result discounted women who had legitimate assaults against them.
11
u/CoachAngBlxGrl Aug 04 '26
Eh. The data does not back your statement. But what did happen is white feminism took it over and diluted the real message. It turned into alpha male and trad wives with conservative women separating themselves from “masculine” females. Me too showed the pick me’s for who they are. And it harmed the movement immensely. Which also set the stage for the Ep files and how America was happy to sweep it under the rug - but I digress.
Another thing me too did do is open the door for more conversation among women to say “I’ve been harmed in a similar way. I am a safe space for you to share your harm”. This has led to 4B and the “male loneliness” discourse which empowers the next generation of women to do what is best for their body. So while the me too movement didn’t finish the way she started it, it did break the wall and allow us to evolve as humanity.

u/Famous_Collection525 Aug 03 '26
She’s definitely a maga girl lol

u/crisp2610 Aug 04 '26
I knew it the second Paul asked her about Jan 6 and she didn't know what he was referencing 😵💫 he rightfully said that's all he needed to know.
1
u/HappyCatPrincess I’m going to respect that Aug 06 '26
I wondered why anyone would pick her for someone. So not fair to him.
0
u/Alternative-Track945 Aug 03 '26
Stop. The #MeToo movement is a global, grassroots social movement, not a political party.Affiliation: It has no official ties to any political party (such as Democrats or Republicans) and focuses instead on supporting survivors, demanding accountability, and shifting cultural views around sexual misconduct.
3
u/Catladyboot Aug 03 '26
How do these people get on the show? I know they want conflict but they could easily match people who are actually ready for marriage and at least somewhat normal and just put them in situations to garner drama and conflict like when they did the read each other's text thing. You can create drama with any couple given the right situations but casting people that look like they're deer in headlights when they're on the show is uncomfortable to watch.

u/NervousWonder3628 Aug 03 '26
Well, she said she didn’t know what January 6 was about.

That was how I took it- that she meant a "pick me" girl! Although I still cringed at the misspeak!
1
10
u/Threshereddit Aug 03 '26
No, she was specifically saying she is not a ME TOO girl. Meaning she doesn't identify with ME TOO or any particular prepondence about that. She doesn't know what J6 is but she absolutely knows about ME TOO. Interesting.

"I don't know what words mean but I happily just parrot the opinions of your most divorced uncle without ever bothering to understand what they are"
16
u/Domme_mama_dahlia Aug 02 '26
I think she HAS had a “me too” experience or a few but is very in denial about how it’s affected her.
1
3
u/Secure_Shoulder_4744 Aug 07 '26
I strongly AGREE with thissss 👆as I had the SAME exact thoughts yall did! She acts so strange about intimacy of ANY kind and she doesn’t want to talk about past relationships to the point it feels like she’s scared to death of having a panic attack or some kind of breakdown. Like if she or he accidentally went one step too far for her comfort she might just explode…it’s like her muscles are literally trying to hold the pain inside so it doesn’t spill out all over everyone around her. If that makes sense?
3
11
9
u/Supertreelove Aug 01 '26
Right?! That was crazy talk. In other words, you’re not a girl’s girl and you did with men automatically when a woman says she’s been sexually assaulted.

23
u/ph5432 Aug 01 '26
Tbh I think she actually meant to say a “pick me” girl but regardless, her feelings about other women are the same. She gladly carries water for the patriarchy.
6
u/Supertreelove Aug 01 '26
I think she meant exactly what she said. She’s a flaming Republican who hates feminism.
1
u/akjoyfullgirl Aug 18 '26
Precisely. Will gladly benefit from it while disparaging those that are putting
In the work so she gets to keep the benefits. So over her and her ilk.

This is the same girl that on night one kept saying she was afraid her husband would leave her. That doesn’t exude confidence.
18
u/Oh-No-Its-Danielle Aug 01 '26
Im gonna take a big risk here and pray I don’t get attacked. I’m pretty conservative. I’m not MAGA conservative, but I’m conservative. And for the record, I don’t like Courtney. At all. Anyway, I think Courtney is dumb and means she’s not a pick me girl. I’d bet she doesn’t even know what the Me Too movement is. She seems very sheltered or maybe just in her own world? She doesn’t even know who Keanu Reeves is. Strange bird for sure.
5
u/Accurate-Nobody21 Aug 03 '26
Nothing wrong with being conservative from a liberal neighbor ❤️ I think Courtney is possibly on stimulants LOL
6
u/Jira_Atlassian Aug 02 '26
That doesn't make any more sense though. I think she's just stupid and using a buzzword she never really understood beyond "women's rights movements are dumb and bad, won't someone think of the men", because she doesn't seem to understand much.
5
u/SuperbAd9280 Aug 02 '26
Fellow conservative here…not extreme right by any means but still conservative. And I don’t like her. I don’t like what she stands for, I don’t like her pretending to not know what Jan 6 was (and even as a republican, I do NOT agree with what happened that day). I feel that she is someone who doesn’t follow politics, but still claims republican because she follows her family’s views, common trends etc. she meant to say she’s not a pick me but accidentally said a me too girl…genuinely think it was a wrong verbiage type of situation, but in MY opinion, she’s the exact definition of a pick me/follower.
6
u/437879 Aug 01 '26
I actually thought that too because if you think of the context that she used that in, "pick me girl" makes more sense
6
u/Separate-Loquat-9546 Aug 01 '26
No I think she definitely meant a me too girl aka she's not a feminist, and she thinks feminists are people who hate men. Why would a pick me girl say the men are not confident? They would be flattering if anything
13
u/Little-Wing2299 Aug 01 '26
A lot of these Trump supporters loop in the me too movement to any women who will just
Not tolerate disgusting behaviour, male toxicity etc

16
u/Odd_Anything_1441 Jul 31 '26
I think she was saying that she “has nothing against men, unlike the victims who came forward during the Me too mvt.” Like she didn’t want to sound like a man hater. All a crock of shit btw but ofc that’s how a MAGA person views the Me Too mvt
9
u/SteakCutFries Jul 31 '26
Ahhhhhhh. That makes sense now, thank you! I heard her say it; I just wasnt sure if she was talking about "pick-me's" or what (because that didnt make any sense.) This line of thought def checks out more.
Shes making it known that while she might be a "strong, confident woman," shes not some lesbian man hater who thinks the slightest bit of "strength" or "assertiveness" from a man is neon sign flashing TOXIC MASCULINITY!! EVIL!! BAD!!!
11
u/linaxoxoxo19 Jul 31 '26
What I also didn’t like was how she made a MASSIVE generalization that all the men were weren’t as confident as the women. She barely knows the guys at this point, so it’s ballsy to make a statement like that. The confidence comment was extremely unnecessary.

5
u/listenup1738 Jul 31 '26
I honestly think she meant pick-me lol
14

Bro the way my jaw hit the floor. That bitch is proud of her ignorance.
1
37
u/AZWildcatMom Jul 31 '26
She means she thinks Me Too girls hate men. The next sentence proves that's what she meant. She's a gross anti-feminist.
26
u/bellycoconut Jul 31 '26
She meant what she said. She meant she’s not a feminist like those Me Too girls. You can tell by what she says next that she thinks BOTH men and women are great.
Saying I’m not Pick Me girl doesn’t make sense because Pick Mes already think men are great. Stop giving this terrible woman the benefit of the doubt. She’s as awful as she portrays herself.
2
u/SteakCutFries Jul 31 '26
Oh shit 💡 when they interviewed her & she said "im conservative," THATS WHAT SHE MEANT. Shes "not a feminist." And that matters to her.
Damn. I get it now. Everyone kept equating it to her meaning shes MAGA, but that never felt right to me. I dont think shes political AT ALL. I think shes pretty removed from that stuff... but i do believe she meant "conservative" as in "traditional male/female roles"
8
24
u/chelsea0803 Jul 31 '26
She made zero sense the entire episode. She’s riddled with anxiety and clearly covers it up with obsessive exercise and other things. The comment about how Adam is “clearly the hottest” was SO FKED UP!!! I would have run then if I were him.
These people all need to watch classic movies and read a book. Love the season because it’s entertaining but people really have gotten dumber.
1
4
u/Howigetheredoe Jul 31 '26
I feel the same way. She is a walking red flag and one of the meanest people I've seen on this show. Genuinely don't understand how she got picked other then for ratings because I predict she'll be bringing the drama this whole season
9
u/BippityBoppityHodor Jul 31 '26
This is why some people think Lizard people are real. 😂😂😂 Because, girl, what?
I'll maybe give her the benefit of the doubt that she meant she isn't a "pick me" girl, but the doubt is still heavily there that she meant exactly what she said because I felt like she was trying to say she isn't a feminist, so that should add more weight to her point. Which it didn't, and just makes her fking gross.
But not knowing who Keanu Reeves is, not having fast food ever until your late 20s, crying because she essentially felt pressured when you signed up for a show that is about pressuring you...
Her family seems to even think she is slightly unhinged 😂.
Are...are you a real girl? Are you okay?
21
u/layne313 Jul 31 '26
When they were in the car & Nick brought up her comment about the confidence thing and all she did was talk in a circle, making no sense at all… Like explain yourself.. how is he not confident!? She couldn’t. She doesn’t even know what she was trying to say lol
2
u/Remote_Foundation436 Aug 01 '26
She seems speedy. And unhealthy as mush as she tries to push the health thing. When she talks she sounds mentally ill and when you see her mother it’s terrifying she’s headed down that same INCREDIBLY unhealthy looking , miserable faced woman as her mother .. her mother is too skinny to have all that dark eye make up and eyelashes on. It makes her look very “sick” , hard and unattractive.
6
u/SoundOk9860 Jul 31 '26
I was thinking about this...I think at the dinner she was trying to say that when the women weren't immediately affectionate, the men let this get to their egos and weren't handling it well (ego, aka confidence?) I'm not sure...piecing together the very skattered statements she made. Either way, she lost me with the me too comment. Actually, she lost me with the Jan 6th comment.

u/PrivateNalog Jul 31 '26
The more I watch her, the more I see she grew up in a very conservative bubble, that she thinks it’s the only way to go.
She is in for a rude awakening, if she ever opens herself to be enlightened.
8
19
u/Suitable_Key8340 Jul 31 '26
I wonder if she meant “pick
Me” girl. Not a fan of her but I think she’s misusing words, not literally meaning what she is implying.
15
u/pillowpalaces Jul 31 '26
Right, the same with the drag racing comment and her not knowing who Keanu reeves is. It's giving alien from outer space
40
u/aloof_cusp Jul 31 '26
you guys, i’m not sure if you caught this but she said she’s a slow burn.
1
u/SweetLesx Jul 31 '26
The irony of it is that she needs to make a decision in so many weeks. This is not the show to be on for a slow burn. She is just using her “slow burn” as an excuse to get to decision day and say no.

10
u/goodnight_beable Jul 31 '26
Exactly! In a way they are the perfect reality show couple. Shes completely on the verge of a mental breakdown (possibly due to amphetamines) and he is an experienced reality show participant so he knows how to let her spin out and react appropriately. She says, "I think he likes me". Courtney, look at his face, honey, hes like "WTF, keep spinning psycho and ill pop some corn".

Homegirl is a MAGA trapped in a neurospicy, GAY person’s body. That’s all I have left to say about her. I just cannot.
1
3
u/AdAlarmed9337 Jul 31 '26
My reasoning for this more specifically is also just that her behavior both towards the men and women on the show isn’t that she’s showing attraction to either, it’s that the only way she knows how to treat a woman is by hating them as a whole, just like in-denial maga dudes who love their “buddies” and treat other men with respect but hate their wives.
So she’s saying all these “I’m not like other girls” type of comments because, like a straight MAGA man, she hates women.
So instead of this being my theory because of what she did/said positively towards a woman, I’m basing this theory more on what she’s doing/saying negatively towards women in general.12
u/lexsanchez Jul 31 '26
thank you for saying this, i do not think this girl is attracted to men and so she belittles them
9
u/FlyConfident1622 Jul 31 '26
I’m getting sick of all the gay-posting overall, but this is a theory I might actually get behind
6
u/AdAlarmed9337 Jul 31 '26
Oh totally. I am never one to automatically assume someone’s reason for being a certain way in a relationship is just that they’re gay, but the combination of her MAGA-ness plus that just reeeaaally makes sense.
6
u/FlyConfident1622 Jul 31 '26
100%. And it also would give some context to her scary monologue where she was touching Nick and going “do you like this?” in front of the therapist

u/Helpful_Ad3658 Jul 31 '26
Watching Ep. 8 right now-
Courtney is trying to express that she would rather eat her own feelings at the expense of someone leaving her for feeling too much…
*side note I’ve never seen Nick on any other show, this is my first impression of him* BUT is he not committed to her?I think he’s doing his best to match her energy. I get the vibe (personally) that you can very much tell he is holding back. From what I have seen (EYE, ME) he gives the energy that if he were matched with someone else who was much bubblier or more into him, he would instantly reciprocate that vibe. I don’t know. I think their matching doesn’t make sense. He deserve someone who is less guarded and more open to the experience and wanting to have more fun/memories with him.
NO. SHADE. MY. OPINION.
2
7
u/NaturalAttempt3384 Jul 31 '26
TOTALLY! I got that same sense when watching Nick. He didnt get the right match.
15
u/Hot_Minute_9249 Jul 31 '26
I literally had to keep pausing and rewinding…. Like did she mean to say “Girl’s girl”? Like what type of human is not a #metoo person??? I think they were giving her too much alcohol or something.
11
u/apeoples13 Jul 31 '26
I took it to mean she’s not into feminism or something. Like a lot of men point to women posting about #MeToo were feminists supposedly? It just seems like she’s been fed manosphere BS
9
u/sapplesapplesapples Jul 31 '26
I didn’t understand any of what she was saying lol. But I wonder if since she was critiquing the boys she meant it like I’m not a “man hater” bc she associates metoo with false accusations? Idfk it was wild.
5
20
u/No-Soup9999 Jul 31 '26
At this point, Courteney just needs to stop talking and do more listening. She never makes any sense and confuses even herself. I think she's very pretty, and obviously motivated but she should have put some of that internal drive into balancing her mental and physical health instead of all the effort on her outward appearance. I want her and Nick to make it, but from what we're being shown it will take a miracle. The way it's looking, she's going to blow this opportunity because I believe Nick really does want to love her, but she's making it impossible.
3
u/layne313 Jul 31 '26
No literally the car conversation made no sense. He asked a simple, clarifying question and she went on and on with no semblance of a answer
3
u/FlyConfident1622 Jul 31 '26
I’ve been saying exactly this. She needs to focus on eating, listening, and getting comfy with silence before jumping into ANYTHING
2
19
u/Alandelmon Jul 31 '26
Nick wants a positive result for himself on the show, but he’s not stupid and knows she’s a basket case. Even her family was hinting around like, “You know she’s like a bag full of bees, right?” She doesn’t know what Jan. 6 is, draws a complete blank at the name Keanu Reaves, and does not know what “me too” properly refers to. People speculated that she was MAGA, but turns out she pays too little attention to anything going on in the world to be able to have any political opinions at all. Nick showed on the Circle that he’s no dummy.
This match is as bad as Nikki and Shawn.
5
u/sapplesapplesapples Jul 31 '26
Nooo because the keanu reeves thing was it for me. Theres no way she’s not just playing pretend here.
2
u/seanabq Jul 31 '26
I know not knowing Keanu makes me wonder if she’s an escapee from a mental institute she’s been at her entire life. She’s obviously on some type of psychotropic drug like amphetamines or self medicating with cocaine or the like. She can’t sit still and talks a million miles/hour and what she says rarely makes any sense. One would think the “experts” would easily discover this so it makes me think producers picked the guests to maximize drama.

This made me like her more. The me too movement is about hating men. Not saying women aren’t to believers because most of the time they absolutely are but “me too” is new wave feminism which isn’t rooted in equality it’s rooted in hating men
6
u/marmeesmyheart Jul 31 '26
The me too movement is about hating men? So the women just sprinkle SA in the story to add a little razzle dazzle? Weird.
3
8
13
u/ComprehensiveFix5469 Jul 31 '26

u/One_Ad_8767 Jul 31 '26
i don’t think you know what the me too movement is about if you think that…

6
u/miraisun Jul 31 '26
Me too movement isn’t a new thing. So. It’s been a thing for i feel a decade? It’s about people being SA’ed and such. Hating men? What the heck lol. This sub has some of the most insane takes.
35
u/Life-Anywhere-486 Jul 31 '26
She talks in gibberish circles to the point where I think she confuses even herself about what she’s trying to say. I do know one thing, he’s very laid-back and she’s bored. Unfortunately many people who have been hurt in the past become addicted to that pain adrenaline mistaking it for dopamine and I think that’s what she’s seeking from him.

u/LeggyBlueEyes Jul 31 '26
Look, I don’t think I particularly like this girl. That being said, i think she meant to say “pick me” girl.
18
u/SoundOk9860 Jul 31 '26
No, she definitely meant “me too girl”. People like her who claim to be conservative but also don’t know what happened on Jan 6th…she would def reduce the entire movement to simply women who think men are not “great.”
3
u/goodnight_beable Jul 31 '26
OMG - this is awful, I also immediately assumed she meant "pick me". But reading you guys' comments ewwww, she's insane and a gross human.
3
u/Affectionate-Bar-474 Jul 31 '26
I agree…and I believe after her “me too” comment she said something like men aren’t confident enough and don’t get enough credit, and how she likes men and women equally. So, not exactly feminist speak :/
9
u/songsofparadise Jul 31 '26
Yes. She definitely was referring to #metoo. Conservatives and MAGA supporters are against anything slightly feminist aligned.
2
5
u/ApplesAndJacks Jul 31 '26
I also think she meant pick me rather than me too. She just talks too fast that her brain cant keep up.
3
u/No-Treat-8079 Jul 31 '26
Ironically, she is a pick me. She wants guys to like her & she won’t ‘nag’ them about that pesky inequality stuff.
2
u/ApplesAndJacks Aug 01 '26
I do agree. Shes incredibly pick me. A hit dog will holler is what they say.
33
u/smudgedbarcode Jul 31 '26
The crowd she runs in weren’t fans of “me too”. And they love to make up their own definitions of buzzwords (like antifa, when any patriot should consider themselves antifa). I’d guess she doesn’t know what it means but her circle says it negatively
45
u/WanderKnot Jul 31 '26
I think she means a feminist - very MAGA coded

I have the same impression. It’s pretty sad but maybe not uncommon… I feel like lots of girls grow up with bad models for relationships :( but Courtney seems especially lacking self awareness or self confidence to an extreme
61
u/ichibanyogi Jul 31 '26
She is opposed to feminism and supporting women's voices against sexual assault. She's signalling she's a good, conservative woman who doesn't believe in progressivism (and apparently is ok with SA).
11
u/Alandelmon Jul 31 '26
You’re giving her way more credit for understanding such concepts than she deserves.

The irony is… when she was discussing her sexual experiences during the group therapy session… I got the vibe that she might have experienced the exact things the MeToo movement is about. She probably doesn’t know what it means, she’s just parroting.

To her MeToo women are just angry feminists who can’t take a compliment from an alpha male.

Ohhhh. I guess I always associated that with believing the survivors of sexual assault so I’m like…. How can you not be a #metoo girl/human?
