Season 20 - Seattle Attention Seeker, Much???
This guy… Someone needs to cut his mic already. He is trying harder to stay on television than his kid is trying to stay married.
The irony of a man named Logic behaving with absolutely zero reasoning or boundaries is the best punchline the show has given us all season.
“You’re gonna try to clap the cheeks already.” WTH??? 🤦♀️
Saying that about your own son and new daughter-in-law is incredibly trashy and way past the line of normal boundary crossing.
It’s cringe-worthy to watch a grown man work this hard to steal his son’s spotlight. 😑. I’m seriously embarrassed for Mecca.
Who needs enemies when your own father makes an ass out of himself on national television?

He seems to enjoy to power trip of putting his son down. It’s gross. He thinks he’s funny, but he really just comes across as an extremely insecure man needing to make sure he raises an even more insecure son so he can feel above him.
2
u/Equivalent-Attempt69 Aug 14 '26
This was one of the weirdest interactions I have ever witnessed of a father giving a speech at his son’s wedding. He completely embarrassed his son in front of strangers and his new wife! He belittled him and even sprouted the seed of doubt before Mecca even met BelleJolie. He really brings out the worst in Mecca. The shift was almost immediate after speaking with his father, his demeanor and even way of expression completely changed. Truly so sad. I hope Mecca gets the therapy he so desperately needs because I can definitely see the potential of a great guy but his insecurities absolutely overshadow that. For Belle, I hope for her sake she moves on, she can’t fix him even though it seems like she truly wants to but she deserves so much better.

u/LongjumpingQuote9826 Aug 09 '26
I feel like his father likes to make him uncomfortable. The boner comment after the alter was super weird
8
u/Queen_EO Aug 08 '26
What’s worse is that Mecca needs direction and validation so badly and has a terrible role model that gives the worse advice. It’s the perfect storm. He hangs on this fool’s every word.
5
u/sighhlife Aug 08 '26
The fact he is telling his son that on national TV, talking about his d*ck - SIR
4
Aug 08 '26
Omg he was sooooo annoying! And like creepy uncle. All I kept imagining was how much he embarrassed Mecca growing up.

u/Forsaken-Cell-9436 Aug 05 '26
more than attention seeking, he gives predator. like the way he spoke on his daughter in law to his son is so strange and concerning. that man better never leave his wife alone with his dad, he scares me
5
u/poetic19 Aug 04 '26
I can understand why his women ran off and didn't look back. Imagine trying to coparent with this fool? Mecca has no choice but to be a mess

u/DazzlingDonkey7890 Aug 03 '26
Didn’t he also say he was a middle school principal? Oh my god was he hard to watch 🫣

Yeah his dad was doing the most for no reason. It was very weird behavior

u/shmoozers Jul 31 '26
He’s a narcissist who gets off on humiliating Mecca and it’s sad because you can tell how much he looks up to his dad for validation and approval. “If it’s on the cheek she’s weak” and he made sure it was chiseled in stone in his head. Jfc
9
u/Frosty-Week-8776 Jul 31 '26
This guy is so weird. He tries so hard to be the cool dad and best friends with his son. Had to do a double take at “you’re gonna try to clap cheeks aren’t you”. He talks like he’s in a Fortnite lobby lmao
12
u/songbird_1219 Jul 30 '26
His son’s insecurities make so much sense after this speech. It was a humiliation ritual
15
u/ThoughtPhysical7457 Jul 30 '26
This guy RUINED his son.
Even the experts noted how performative Mecca is. Then theres the negging with the weird percentage convo. And the gold fangs?
6
5
u/Grumpygrap3s Jul 29 '26
He reminds me of Clay's dad from Love is Blind Season 6. Just saying all the wrong things at ALL the wrong times 🤢.

7
u/hartleyn Jul 29 '26
He absolutely drove me CRAZY!!!! Who had the idea to give him SO much tv time????? Looks like someone wants to be on television WAY too much!!! So cringe!!! 🤮

We need to stop naming babies character traits. It backfires. See: Logic, Sincere

He's gross and tacky. I'm appalled that he is a school principal.

He’s a school principal?!?! 😳😂. That’s what’s wrong with our education system.

u/Modusoperandi40 Jul 27 '26
I feel so validated by this comment section. Just started watching this season and I thought I was the only one thinking he was doing the absolute MOST. Sometimes it feels like he was seeking attention or trying to upstate his own son. I was confused.
And that toast. What was that??
So glad for Belle’s mom who gave a wonderful toast afterwards. Especially taking her time to encourage the groom.
His own father didn’t even think to do this. Just clowned him the entire speech.
2
u/TheCosBae Aug 06 '26
I started yesterday and I feel the same!! Somebody should've cut his mic! And he has that "thirsty" look in his eyes, YUCK!
21
u/Wipeyourbuttyoustink Jul 27 '26
He also said he is a principal, which deeply concerns me.
2
u/palswithpikachu Jul 30 '26
Deeply cringed thinking about how he said he was a principal and then asking his son if he was going to clap those cheeks
6
u/h20mg Jul 27 '26
Did you see someone shared his TikTok's and they're beyond creepy!!! I can't remember where I saw them

I’m only on episode 2, and he’s creepy and his son is MAD ANNOYING. His voice irritates me and why is he so loud.😭
15
u/chicagointhefall18 Jul 26 '26
Main character energy indeed.
To the point that Mecca was sharing qualities about his dad (he’s goofy, etc) at the altar and Bellejolie responded I’m goofy too. Dude needs to sit for a minute.

u/rrroserrred Jul 25 '26
Reality television shows are deceptively edited in order to be scandalizing. It's manufactured entertainment. A lot more than you would expect is coaxed out of people on these shows and even scripted. I've met Logic Amen in person a number of times and he is a really stand-up guy who is the first person there for others in need in his family and community. The selectively (and very deceptively curated) edited snippets that the show chose to include in the final edit have grossly misrepresented him. He's an eccentric artist and a sometimes goofy guy who cracks jokes with his adult son; that's actually very normal behavior. I really think he is a victim of predatory editing and that this show has purposely done him dirty by intentionally portraying him into a caricature and villain on the show so that they could generate something for viewers to talk about and get invested in.
18
u/napsrlife Jul 25 '26
His students are posting old videos of him on TikTok being weird and inappropriate in a school setting. The students are also saying he's very creepy. Idk how he presented himself to you, but others feel the way OP does.

I just saw his speech and wow! What an absolute pos he is to his son. I wish I could say I can’t believe he’s an administrator. However, I worked at a school for years and the administration was an absolute nightmare. They were unprofessional, immature, and petty.
19
28
u/LeoTheLionRoar Jul 23 '26
Oh yeah, he was the absolute worst! It also felt like he was flirting with BelleJolie during their conversation. He totally strikes me as the kind of guy that would try to steal his son’s girl. I feel for Mecca because his dad is totally self-absorbed and lowkey emotionally abusive. I think we’ll see how this has affected Mecca in the way he deals with BelleJolie, we can already see he’s a bit insecure.
9
u/birdiemarr Jul 24 '26
I feel like Bella clocked it too and wasn’t stoked at all about that discusting speech
7
u/SweetBabyJane90120 Jul 26 '26
Bellle’s mother was so kind to try to counter all the horribly demeaning things Mecca’s father said. Love that LADY.
Also, I was super tickled that Nikki’s mother told Sean he could call her “mother-in-law.”
3
u/Modusoperandi40 Jul 27 '26
YESs I loved her speech. It was so heartfelt and the way she encouraged her new son in law. Obviously after the horrific speech his Dad gave. That was amazing of her. You can tell she’s a wonderful mom.
12
u/Traditional-Storm247 Jul 23 '26
I saw the flirting part as well....I've been around that type of older man when I was younger.....and isn't this the man who had two wives leave.....huummmmm....
22
u/Character-Jelly-6843 Jul 23 '26
Mecca’s reactions make it seem like he’s overly use to his attention seeking behavior, constant negging, and overstepping of boundaries which makes me sad for him ngl…. i hope he can escape his dads grasp because other than that mecca seems like an ok guy so far
21
u/Ladydoodoo Jul 23 '26
He is gross and I think his behavior might fall under some sort of sexual abuse with his extreme lack of boundaries. He has no boundaries whatsoever and has caused a lot of psychological and self-esteem harm with his son. Did anyone mention that a mom? In the fact of the son is in the family business, this man is also covering over his financial state? This is really bad.
4
u/Successful-Owl1462 Jul 27 '26
Agreed. You can probably draw a straight line between dad’s behavior and the son’s complete lack of confidence and self-worth.
11
u/Batgirl0413 Jul 23 '26
This is the same thought I had that maybe he has abused his son. When he said you definitely had an erection wtf.
16
u/rosindel Jul 23 '26
Have yall seen his creepy tiktoks 👀 he has no business working in a school system (if he still is)
1
5
u/Ladydoodoo Jul 23 '26
Yeah, his comment confuse me because remember the sunset that he’s in the family business, which is Porta potty cleaning so I figured he was. The father was the head of the business.

12
u/CombOk1862 Jul 22 '26
I am literally sick of him!! I truly feel that he is jealous of his son and literally will stop at nothing to bring his downfall.
3
u/Ladydoodoo Jul 23 '26
My mother was like this, and I had to go full noncontact without only her but my entire family to cut her out from sabotaging my life
15
u/aownrcjanf Jul 22 '26
Narcissistic parent vibes for sure. He had to make everything about himself, humiliated his son in an attempt to knock him down a peg since his son was checks notes the groom, and we never heard a peep from Mecca’s mom because this man took up all the oxygen in the room. The bride’s mom seemed to clock it and tried to add something kind for Mecca in her speech.
6

from the minute he walked in the room with sunglasses on before the wedding i knew it was about to be a shitshow lol

I would run, not walk away from a family with that narcissistic blowhard as the head. Mecca seems a great catch but he is incapable of controlling his father’s poor behavior even for his wedding. Bye.
11
u/Namaste41 Jul 20 '26
100%!!! Obnoxious! The dad is making it all about him.
Mecca cannot think for himself yet! Red flag all day!
41
u/SpinGrrl Burner gonna burn Jul 20 '26
The way he negged his own son during his speech was so cringe and explains why Mecca is so clearly insecure. It made me really sad for Mecca, but also worried about his emotional maturity and whether or not he's ready for marriage. He needs a better example of how to be a man. I was really impressed with the way Belle's mom picked Mecca up after that speech.
29
u/Ok_Turtle14 Jul 20 '26
Oh, he's so creepy and gross. Belle has so much grace and patience dealing with him during that one on one during the wedding - he thought he was charming her toes off and definitely would 1,000% attempt to seduce her if he thought he saw an opening (honestly, even if not) but it won't last (her patience and marriage) if boundaries aren't set and enforced yesterday.
27
u/jackmoon44 Jul 20 '26
I feel so sorry for belle if she continues with the marriage for having to deal with him as a father in law! That shit must absolutely suck! And u can tell Mecca never checks his dad, he just lets him say anything smh. Cannot believe this is someone’s actual school principal!!
31
20
u/Pale-Try1052 Jul 20 '26
The math definitely not mathin with the dad...He tore his son apart with the speech ....#run from Dad!
17
u/Ok-Dog-5184 Jul 20 '26
Gotta give BellaJoilie credit, she did say, in a nice way, something along the lines of why are you saying these things about my husband? The bride’s mother was so lovely and kind, I felt she spoke up for her son in law in the best way possible when she gave her speech. I don’t know how this relationship will survive because I think the husband must be pretty broken by being raised by a father like him. Unless his Grandma had something to do with bringing him up, the poor guy probably has little to no self esteem. I don’t know how his wife is supposed to handle that or if she is prepared to deal with that. I don’t think anyone would blame her if she isn‘t.
4
u/Ladydoodoo Jul 23 '26
That woman needs to put on her big girl pants and her big girl sneakers and run the hell away from that situation. There is no need for any grace or niceities when it comes to the way this man behaved and how his son seems to be cowering and kowtowing to his own father. Mecca will absolutely be transferring this Abuse to her.

u/angry_croissant27 Jul 20 '26
Thank you for posting this, every time he's on screen, my eyes are rolled so far back in my head. He's too much. I'd be disgusted if I found out my new father-in-law spoke this way about me.

u/Fit-Distribution2812 Jul 19 '26
MAFS loves setting the black women up to be embarrassed and fail in their marriages. Why did I assume this season (even with a completely new production and network) would be any different? First we have a gay scammer (shawn) now the child of a raging narcissist who has alleged lawsuits against him. Great.

Why hasn't he been investigated and fired?! Hopefully after he got attention from this show, he is finally jailed and removed from office. Mecca...I just pray he wasn't touched by his own father. MAFS needs to be sued for constantly putting the women in harm's way.

u/Mad__Lib Jul 19 '26
It made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. Him asking his son if he's going to "clap cheeks", while being a principal and also trying to embarrass and emasculate his son to make himself look better than his son I guess?? The fact that Mecca didn't even flinch through any of that made me feel like some weird and inappropriate stuff may have happened in his life. Sooo inappropriate and weird
19
u/Bindle_snaggle Jul 19 '26
I think that’s why Mecca seemed so different in the interviews. He seemed much more serious and mature but in the wedding he was so insecure he was bleeding on rude and super immature. And even Bellé already was seeming like she was defending him during dad’s toast “why you be doing my husband that way” and the way Mecca just nervously giggled. It shows he’s used for he abuse but I think Bellé will feel it’s not okay and be put in a spot of being the sole push back to the dad. It’s gonna be messy is my guess
19
u/megra14 Jul 19 '26
His FacebookS (yes, plural) really seal it that he loves attention.

He wants to sleep with her but he cant. So he’s going to do his best to live vicariously through his son and penetrate her boundaries. He wants to be as close to the relationship as he can get without physically being in it.
He might be the first parent to show up at the honeymoon.

💯. Logics son isn’t as awful as him, but he stands in the shadow of a giant.

I truly hope this ridiculous man reads all the comments about him..he's a school administrator!!! Yikes. I have not read one positive thing about this "dad".
3
u/ToastetteEgg Jul 20 '26
Narcissists can read the truth about themselves all day and don’t recognize it as bad behavior. People who say such things are wrong, stupid, jealous, etc. in their minds.
22
32
u/Karibay Jul 19 '26
I get the he will sleep with his son’s gfs and possibly wife if she let him. At least always looking/checking them out vibes.
9
u/Fit-Distribution2812 Jul 19 '26
He is a narcissist who's jealous of his son for being taller and more attractive. Mecca is doomed.
-26
u/Neveezy Jul 19 '26
I really don't understand the hate for this guy. I just saw him as trying to lighten what is clearly a crazy, intense situation. And dads usually are goofballs that have a knack for embarrassing us.
6
u/Just_Here_for_Reads Jul 20 '26
The way he talked to Belle....that was obvious flirting. Constantly embarrassing and putting down his son. This is toxic behavior not lightening the mood.
15
u/Organic_Switch5383 Jul 19 '26
That is far from being a goofball. It is disgusting and predatory and to think otherwise is just twilight zone thinking.
-8
39
u/Head-Ad8385 Jul 19 '26
Telling your son he had a boner at the altar, knowing you’re being filmed, knowing that public opinion will be looming leads the majority to believe 1- you want all the attention on a day that’s not for you 2- they need to check your computer files bc why are you saying that to a grown man who is also your son?
10
u/ItsTricky94 Jul 19 '26
that was nasty. I have the subtitles on and I re-wound it to make sure I heard it correctly
-14
u/Neveezy Jul 19 '26
Maybe exactly because he's his son and he just likes to tease him? His son didn't look surprised/upset, and everybody else was laughing. Trying to label him a pedophile for being an embarrassing dad is a reach. I can give you him wanting the attention but again, I just saw it as him trying to be the life of the party. You've got two strangers getting married and families that don't know a thing about each other having to pretend to be happy about it. It's a socially awkward situation so I get the need for humor. He probably just overdid it
3
u/Namaste41 Jul 20 '26
Wow! You are making excuses for this creepy behavior. To normalize it as just teasing sounds like you grew up with that also or are like that. There is nothing normal about a shitty parent who has to knock down his son and grandstand at his wedding. No where is that humble or kind or loving. Poor Mecca had to deal with that shit all his life so he probably thinks it’s normal too.
And just because you get a laugh out of insulting someone, doesn’t mean people find it normal or ok. People laugh out of awkwardness and to try to make it less awkward and go away!!
0
u/Neveezy Jul 20 '26
I just don't expect a drunk dad at a social experiment wedding to be the model of couth. And to call him a horrible father and even a pedophile because of some jokes one day is is just a level of judgment I don't make about people I don't personally know. But you feel comfortable judging him and me who you've never met a day in your life. It's odd
1
u/Namaste41 Jul 20 '26
It’s not judgement. It’s reading people’s behavior and recognizing some really creepy and inappropriate character traits. Maybe you’re naive and haven’t experienced enough to recognize these types of people.
Or you were raised by one and still make excuses for them. Maybe some therapy will help you if that’s the case. But for you not to see what everyone else does, you seem to be sticking your head in the sand.1
u/Neveezy Jul 20 '26
"It's not judgement" proceeds to judge, psychoanalyze, and weaponize therapy
I see what everyone is saying about his actions. What I don't see is the need to judge his character to the extent everyone is doing here.
1
u/Namaste41 Jul 20 '26
Well good luck with ignoring red flags in life.
Some people can read creepy vibes and pick up on them and some get in the car with a serial killer or date abusers and make excuses for them. If you ever have kids, I hope you tech them to be more careful when someone shows them who they are.1
u/Neveezy Jul 20 '26
Thanks. I will make sure they watch reality TV shows to become as great a judge of character as you are
2
3
u/ToastetteEgg Jul 20 '26
There are times to humiliate your son under the guise of teasing and fun, and then there is your son’s wedding. If you can’t understand that, you may be just like dear old dad.
0
u/Neveezy Jul 20 '26
And I'm guessing the fact that he was clearly drunk is something I don't understand either?
2
u/ToastetteEgg Jul 20 '26
Being a drunk buffoon is no better or worse than being a sober one. Now stop trolling and touch grass.
1
u/Neveezy Jul 20 '26
A Redditor telling anyone to touch grass is hilarious. And I promise that it's okay to have a different opinion on the internet.
6
u/Organic_Switch5383 Jul 19 '26
You have a warped mind. This has nothing to do with trying to be the life of the party and even if it was, this is not his wedding. Being in a socially awkward situation does not result in the words coming out if this man's mouth. Everyone disagrees with you. His behavior was disgusting.
-6
u/Neveezy Jul 19 '26
Lol neither of us know what was in that man's heart and I don't give a damn what the internet thinks about a simple difference in opinion about a reality TV show
6
u/Organic_Switch5383 Jul 19 '26
Wow. You escalate quickly. Yes we do know. His thoughts of his son having a boner and his son's sexual life was on his mind. These are facts. He said those things. A good hearted man would never think let alone say them. Buh bye now.
40
u/RM_r_us Jul 19 '26
I feel sorry for Mecca, I can relate to having a parent who doesn't know boundaries. It's like to forgive yourself the disrespect and hurt you convince yourself what they're doing is funny even when highly inappropriate. It's sad Mecca wants daddy's approval more than anything else.
9
u/Lnyctr Jul 19 '26
I feel so sorry for Mecca. Imagine what is was like for him. Left by mom and a dad with no boundaries who competes with you. Poor guy must be so unsure of himself. He has so much inner work to do. I cannot imagine he knows how to be a true partner. I hope I’m wrong because I really like this couple.

For those watching, I want to ask, are you clear on what show you are viewing?
Again, this is a HEAVILY edited show.
I think the father is hilarious and I'm sure he'll be back at some point to tie together what he said, how he acts to his sons relationship.
This is married at first sight, he is not the first nor will he be the last friend or parent to be viewed in a negative light.
https://giphy.com/gifs/JRRwpLDmdvAeezyhP2
Why are you watching if not for the Shenanigans and toxic behavior?!
I lets keep it real, by decision day, the majority of this sub will dislike the majority of the cast. RIGHT?

When he stood up during the ceremony to make a speech and was also trying to crack jokes during it was awful. Then he got so much worse at the reception.
The new bride was laughing a bit but she did say why is he doing my husband like that. I hope she stands up to him.

To give this man any air time with his trashy comments, is not entertainment. He is an embarrassment to his family.

Logic was super cringe, like WTF would he say that at the reception… I was waiting for it to turn around and it just didn’t….
You can literally he has had to mask the pain from his pops into laughs. Hoping this season he checks his ass.

Ewww. And his full name is Logic Amen?? Give me a break. He’s also an “assistant” principal. I cannot imagine how he speaks to the girls that attend school at Lincoln High.
Have you noticed his son trying speak in the way his father does? I don’t even know if his father‘s way of speaking has a name. It’s just overall odd. I want to scream at the TV to Mecca “STFU and just get it out already.” 🤣

It's not just the way he speaks to the girls there. All 3 of my kids went to/graduated from Lincoln.

While not surprising by the way he talks, I’m still amazed that people haven’t reported him and got his ass outta there. If you can, please share more. Were there rumors or were there any cases of reported incidents?

Somebody said that it is a name that he gave himself for the show. He's doing way too much.

Can't believe everything you read, huh?! Thanks for the correction. 😃 Looked him up...he's a controversial guy.

I was just going to reply. That’s even more disgusting. And then I saw your reply and just about peed my pants. That’s exactly how I’m feeling right now, he’s a clown.

He just made me think of Tone Loc. Kinda in looks but also his voice. I wanted him to bust out a funky cold Medina

Hahahah my husband thought he was Tone Loc as soon as he came on screen.

Your husband is a smart man 😹. It was honestly the voice. That deep voice like that isn’t terribly common.

Seeing Mecca’s dad made me give him grace …. Because being raised by the corny, stereotypical group think guy who is also a good dad has to be newly unlocked trauma
