Season 18 - Chicago 2.0 I'm confused

Post image

Madisson made it sound like she dates handsome, successful dudes. What exactly did she see in this guy? I see him and I get a vibe that he stinks and he is also a bad person.

Michelle hated David with her whole soul. She honestly spent more energy in being an investigator about the text message than she did on checking into her marriage. With all that being said the way David and Madison moved was very disrespectful

7

u/DisasterOver2966 Jul 03 '26

Idk, I still think the main reason they bonded as people was how much they each hated the person they were paired up with. Being able to shit talk with someone else overrides a lot of things and bonds people pretty fast.

I don’t think he’s bad looking. He’s a good looking guy if he cut his hair or got rid of any buns/half up half downs. BUT I had the ick from episode 1. He just seems like an “eff boy” and his energy is a bit manic, like he’d be a lot to upkeep as a partner. He is a glory days jock who acts like a child but pretends that he’s grown up. This is total mismatch energy from Michelle but maybe the show needed the drama. His Leo really showed when he blamed his wife for his cheating lmao….Im a Leo but dang ya his cover was blown and he became a d**k at the end. Also him and Madison drink…a lot…for gym people haha. They do seem compatible tho but there was a better way to explore that and not deceive/hurt others as much as they did. I mostly feel for Allen, she should’ve been honest, left or focused 100% on him versus David…

u/atlantafaery Jun 26 '26

Madison starting the show stating “I wasn’t always beautiful” and me thinking “You still aren’t, honey” 😅

10

u/Sandcastle772 Jun 16 '26

I hated how David and Madison handled this. They explained their abhorrent behavior, by saying that their marriages weren’t working. They should have waited to get together after decision day. Really they should have been honest and just moved out, before Decision Day. But instead they flaunted their connection in front of everyone as if they didn’t do anything that bad. I felt Madison never gave a heartfelt apology to Michelle. Not for liking David but for keeping secrets from Michelle who considered Madison her friend. It was a real s#it show and I fast forwarded through Madison and David’s on screen appearances after their relationship was exposed. I couldn’t stand them after the retreat.

No, dumping husband or wife and _then_ going to pursue and affair with an affair partner still isn't good enough of behavior to qualify as what they _should_ have done.

Anyone who goes on a show like this should who goes through with the wedding should be willing to stay with their spouse for life, even if they don't find the other person attractive, financially stable, etc. They should love their spouse, have sex with their spouse, etc.

The groom has the chance to run away when he sees the bride coming down the aisle, and the bride can say, "Daddy, let's turn around and march out of the building" if looks is the issue.

u/jatlantic7 Jun 09 '26

Give him a black tunic and a sword and he could easily pass for a pirate crew member. The makeup artist for Pirates of the Caribbean wouldn't even have to do anything here. Hes a shoe-in

1

u/DrPablisimo Jun 16 '26

No eye patch or peg leg?

14

u/Agreeable_Memory_67 Jun 07 '26

When Madison’s pregnant and he stays out til 4 in the morning and then says “I’m gonna be honest witchu….” you know a bunch of lies will be flowing.

13

u/Least_Ad762 Jun 06 '26

I felt so bad for Allen. She had him jumping through hoops. Dressing completely different, straightening his teeth, I was expecting her to ask him to get plastic surgery. Why did she do that knowing it was not going to help? He’s a really sweet guy. She had put his self esteem in the gutter. He did NOT deserve that.

8

u/One-Permission2499 Jun 03 '26

Maddison has said a lot of things, most of which have been lies. David is on the same level as her. Both lie and hurt people while making excuses for their bad behaviour. They truly deserve each other!

10

u/CuriousCatNYC777 Jun 03 '26

He literally looks like an ogre

3

u/Infinite_Day_71 Jun 02 '26

I can’t tell if it’s mostly men or women commenting on his looks but while David isn’t clean cut or put together necessarily, he def gives off a different vibe that some women prefer. He’s big and likes to lift heavy things lol. It’s giving primal / temu jason momoa. It’s not that much of a stretch. He’s also an eater sooooo thats major bonus points. Madison is young and wants chemistry and fun.

4

u/MyristicaFragrans Rock Wit Chu Jun 08 '26

I don't think even Stevie Wonder would think he remotely resembles Jason Momoa. If she wanted just a big guy that could lift heavy things, she could have found any willing ex-con.

11

u/ilovedogs12345world Jun 02 '26

Ok he says he lifts but he doesn’t. Being big and fat doesn’t mean you have muscles and you lift. Also please let’s not insult Jason Momoa.

And Madison said she used to date “pretty boys”. He is definitely not one.

3

u/Wonderful_Being_2177 Jun 14 '26

I agree with the Temu Jason Momoa… I kept saying he was giving low budget JM vibes

16

u/Character-Bid-7747 May 31 '26

I can’t get over how unattractive he is

2

u/Icy-Marketing-4327 May 31 '26

So the people that say David is ugly please please look in the mirror and repeat God does not create ugly but I am ugly for saying other people are ugly. I am not perfect but I think I am. I don’t like it when two people love each other. I want that so badly so I am a little jealous. But I still think I’m perfect and other people are ugly. That’s just the desensitized person I will always be.

12

u/ODogrealnameisKevin May 31 '26

Also, not sure why it wasn’t brought up more but she explicitly stated that she needed to marry a white guy.

1

u/K_K92 Jul 01 '26

Did she?!?

7

u/ComfortablyNumb2425 May 30 '26

She's not exactly the type of woman that attracts handsome and successful men. That was HER statement.

9

u/Commercial-Mud5232 May 30 '26

I mean he drives a fucking van and lives with his parents. I guess Madison was looking for a loser

3

u/Much_Builder3635 Jun 01 '26

🤣 😂 🤣 I thought about the van so many times.

5

u/Big_Yogurtcloset_723 May 30 '26

They seem to be happy together and we all deserve someone. I think they clicked and they’ve been together ever since so kudos to them. ❤️

19

u/ilovedogs12345world May 31 '26

Yep two losers happy together ❤️

2

u/Icy-Marketing-4327 May 31 '26

lol what’s your definition of a loser. Two people that fell in love? I bet you don’t have a relationship like that and you are just a little jealous.

15

u/Big-Cable-1751 May 30 '26

He’s so gross

15

u/CatLady1226 May 30 '26

His personality sucks, he lives in his parents basement, and he looks like he’s 50 years old. I don’t get it either. Highly dislike him.

9

u/Commercial-Mud5232 May 29 '26

David is and looks like a clown

13

u/Due-Philosopher-7159 May 28 '26

Obviously the handsome successful dudes did not work for her. She let her heart open up for someone outside comfort zone. David is not ugly

7

u/MeanLeg7916 May 29 '26

David is not ugly? What?

4

u/Accomplished-Eye4610 May 28 '26

I like David but who knows. We don't know anyone IRL.

17

u/Wendimere66 May 27 '26

An ugly inside makes you ugly outside. 🤷‍♀️

7

u/Antonio510512 May 27 '26

He looks like Maui from Moana if Maui ate Maui

12

u/Impossible_Lab_9493 May 27 '26

Did no one see how Michelle treated David during the entire show? She was a total uppity beotch to him. I'm only on episode 20, I think, and idk where things will go between David and Madison, but I'm glad he's not still struggling along with Michelle. She's on track to be single forever. Ugh.

5

u/DramaticRoutine7338 May 29 '26

I love David and Madison together. Yeah, they went about it all wrong, but damn, a person can only take so much of being made to feel like a nobody. Michelle was so mean to him the whole time, and not just mean, she was EVIL. To me, there is no bigger turn off than arrogance, and materialistic people. There is way more to life than fancy clothes and expensive jewelry. Hopefully they all are happy now, and life goes on.

2

u/LawLoud2070 Jul 23 '26

Wait but Madison was the one who hyper fixated on fancy clothes right?

3

u/Impossible_Lab_9493 May 29 '26

Totally agree! The minute Michelle found out about David's living situation, she turned off. Ridiculous. I saw the reunion show, and she's still single at age 40. I'm not surprised. Anyone that is good enough for her will think she's not good enough. Can you imagine having to put up with her negativity, nagging, and "me, me, me" every day?? No, no way.

4

u/LowIntroduction3804 May 28 '26

This show was filmed a couple of years ago. David and Madison just got engaged I believe this March. I saw it on there IG. So they did stay together.

-1

u/Impossible_Lab_9493 May 28 '26

I'm glad. I like them as a couple.

1

u/Impossible_Lab_9493 May 29 '26

Great, thanks for the down votes. That's MY opinion. Bet you're a Trump supporter, too, right??

4

u/harleyquinnsbutthole May 31 '26

I was on ur side til u just HAD to make it political, why?!?

1

u/Impossible_Lab_9493 May 31 '26

Because that's the exact type of person that downvotes an opinion. I'll bet money that I'm not wrong.

2

u/harleyquinnsbutthole Jun 01 '26

lol u don’t see the irony in your accusation and that’s funny

4

u/Sad_Alfalfa8548 May 29 '26

They’re actually sweet together. I sometimes wonder if the “experts” knew what they were doing… haha create the drama

10

u/Saltymama82 May 27 '26

Caveman

3

u/MeanLeg7916 May 29 '26

And not the hot kind.

17

u/jnezzzy May 27 '26

He is a dirtbag. Ew

3

u/Gabbydabs May 27 '26

He is not ugly ... I'm confused

2

u/Gabbydabs Jun 06 '26

Not only do I find him handsome, I also find him to be a catch. If that rude thing he is married too want to a rude thing. I think he deserves better

12

u/Freyasmews May 28 '26

Agree to strongly disagree. I find him aggressively unattractive

5

u/Redchickens18 Jul 01 '26

“Aggressively unattractive” 😂 best description of that dirt bag.

1

u/Freyasmews Jul 01 '26

Haha, right??? He sincerely grosses me out in every possible way. I freaking wanted to like him from the social work angle, as that's my field, but he's just a lying, gaslighting douchebag who shouldn't be anywhere near vulnerable populations

0

u/harleyquinnsbutthole May 31 '26

Looks are subjective 🤷🏼‍♀️

26

u/Usual_Judge9330 May 27 '26

I went through that whole season wanting to jump through the tv so I could cut that floppy ball of frizz off the top of his head!! He wore it like that all the time too like it was cute. How are these women not getting him to cut his hair and style it properly?!?! And for the record any man that tells you that’s he’s a great man and tells you how wonderful he thinks he is, I can promise you he’s the exact opposite!!

3

u/Happy-Marsupial-571 May 29 '26

If nobody else says it a desperate attempt to try to convince you it's true. It's the same for people who say they are so smart all the time.

17

u/Zealousideal_Lock563 May 27 '26

he definitely had me fooled, before i found out what a dirtbag he is, i was kind of rooting for him and felt bad for him. i will say, tank tops are not it for him. made him look like shrek 💀 but he’s not ugly, just needed proper styling/grooming, nost definitely in the personality department too, knowing what i know now. i feel too disgusted by him now to even find him remotely cute or any level of attractive

16

u/CommercialOverall550 May 27 '26

Apparently she has low standards. I wonder what she used to date. His hair so annoying and his voice

5

u/Saltymama82 May 27 '26

He sounds like he smokes five packs a day

2

u/MeanLeg7916 May 29 '26

No doubt he lied about how much he smokes tii

20

u/droogles May 27 '26

She’s boasting about “pretty boys” being her thing while running around with a broke slob behind everyone’s back.

13

u/ilovedogs12345world May 27 '26

He is disgusting. I’m sure he doesn’t brush his teeth and has a bad breath 🤮 and I don’t feel bad for saying this because he is also a bad person.

6

u/Happy-Marsupial-571 May 29 '26

I believe someone had pointed out that her sister was dating or married to a guy that looked like a cleaner version of him.

25

u/Usual-Kangaroo4879 May 27 '26

Hes def the “where’s my hug?” Guy all grown up 😂

4

u/yoquierosandia Basic caucasian sex May 27 '26

Thissss 😂🤮😭🫠

5

u/glitterfluff May 27 '26

IDK, before we found out he's a snake, I thought he was cute in a Jason Mamoa kind of way.

6

u/Ok-Seaweed-3996 May 28 '26

Temu/Shein version.

6

u/Zealousideal_Lock563 May 27 '26

okay i kind of agree with this but definitely temu version now 😭

7

u/ilovedogs12345world May 27 '26

Why are we insulting Jason Mamoa now??? 😟

2

u/yoquierosandia Basic caucasian sex May 27 '26

A ghetto version 😆

4

u/MyristicaFragrans Rock Wit Chu May 27 '26

A Temu version, maybe

2

u/glitterfluff May 27 '26

Lol this is fair.

6

u/droogles May 27 '26 edited May 28 '26

Did you see how he wore his hair 90% of the time? He looked stupid.

9

u/MyristicaFragrans Rock Wit Chu May 27 '26

The crooked side ponytail on top of his head bothered me more lol. He always looked like he just rolled out of bed. Oh, wait...😂

2

u/glitterfluff May 27 '26

I can't even remember him in a hat 😂 but that's probably because I was too focused on how Allen wore his hats.

4

u/droogles May 28 '26

Damn auto correct. It should have read “hair.” I should have caught that.

3

u/MyristicaFragrans Rock Wit Chu May 28 '26

ahhhh ok lol. I was trying to remember the hats! 😂

2

u/glitterfluff May 28 '26

LOL It's okay! Autocorrect is a bitch like that. I was just so confused. But yeah, I didn't necessarily love the way he wore it.

8

u/Adorable_Link8865 May 27 '26

He’s so uglyyyyyyy. I wouldn’t have been able to say I do. Sorry not sorry 🤮

15

u/DavidOrWalter May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

David looked like a great guy until he absolutely fell the fuck apart with his frantic spastic cheating excuses and lies. Suddenly he’s hanging out with these tinder exes and Madison and holy shit - he’s been a shit bag the whole time.

9

u/jwatches May 27 '26

What was great about him?

3

u/DavidOrWalter May 27 '26

He SEEMED like a great guy because no one knew he was actually a lying shit head the entire time.

7

u/jwatches May 27 '26

He showed himself to be a liar when he pretended that he had a basement apartment. Additionally, the job situation always seemed suspicious and it turned out that was also a lie.

2

u/hgonlar May 27 '26

I think he was genuinely trying with Michelle for a really long time and treating every dig she would throw at him, with Grace

2

u/DavidOrWalter May 27 '26

He SEEMED like he was trying until all of his shit fell apart and suddenly he was frantically making every excuse possible as everyone realized he secretly been a shit lord the whole marriage.

6

u/droogles May 27 '26

Nope. Not genuinely trying. Not at all.

8

u/jwatches May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

He absolutely was not. Him and Madison kicked off pretty much on the honeymoon. He was gaslighting and pretending to 1) stay on the show 2) hopefully get a good edit.

5

u/droogles May 27 '26

This. 100%

12

u/goodnight_beable May 27 '26

David, Madison, and Michelle should have all left by week 3. By that point all three know with 100% certainty that the marriages weren't going to work. Poor Allen.

15

u/MyristicaFragrans Rock Wit Chu May 27 '26

Temu Jason Momoa.

21

u/disindiantho Now Michael...... May 26 '26

He gave me „modern caveman I ordered from wish“ vibes.

Not sure what people saw in him.

5

u/droogles May 27 '26

And some continue to see in him. I can’t believe how many internet defenders he has. They hate Michelle for not giving him a chance. Why should she have? He was not only not much of a catch, he was a step backwards for her. The man lived like he was 20.

2

u/Corpshark May 26 '26

Opposites attract, likes bind, as they say. They are very similar peeps

2

u/Thin_Layer_2170 May 26 '26

Oh goodness. He is cute- native type appeal. Not for everyone, but cute to some. I did not get the bad person vibe, but what do I know?

5

u/Ok-Corgi-4230 May 27 '26

What in the ghosts of post-colonialism can you possibly mean by "cute native-type appeal"?! WOW...

4

u/DavidOrWalter May 27 '26

I mean you should know he’s a pretty big cheater and gas lighter.

4

u/gele-gel May 26 '26

I agree with you. I think he is nice looking and, if he is a bad person, so is she.

9

u/sfomo May 26 '26

He looks exactly like Madison! Like brother and sister

21

u/ApoptosisMD May 26 '26

Didnt he claim he was a SOCIAL worker? We later find out he works as a uber driver and something in a warehouse?

1

u/No_Honey_4462 Jul 27 '26

That was always hard to believe. Social workers have to complete legitimate degree programs and qualifying examinations. Nothing about this man said educated, articulate, nor productive.

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Bat5879 May 29 '26

I knew something was up with that when he said he worked nights. I have never heard of a social worker that worked nights!

1

u/Foster921 May 27 '26

Say what????

3

u/MyristicaFragrans Rock Wit Chu May 27 '26

Oh good lord, I hope not. I'm a social worker. That would be an insult to my profession. 😂 I can't see this guy making it through a BSW. He can't run his own life, let alone trying to advise others. I can tell ya, most social workers would not have the time or energy to work all those jobs. Maybe some do , we aren't paid a king's ransom (but a decent living), but he wouldn't need 3 jobs to live like an 18 year old in mommy's basement lol.

2

u/Gnar-Kill-Legion- May 29 '26

LCSW in my state get paid pretty well, depending on who you work for.

1

u/MyristicaFragrans Rock Wit Chu May 29 '26

I meant it's not like being a doctor or a lawyer.

1

u/PookieRenos May 26 '26

Wait, what? I must have black that out.

2

u/AZBuckeyes12977 May 26 '26

I thought an assistant manager of the custodial staff at a city building. He's supposedly a City of Chicago employee.

6

u/churro777 May 26 '26

Multiple jobs

4

u/mouseymouse081 May 26 '26

Multiple careers!

5

u/droogles May 27 '26

A real career man. He has two! 🤣

12

u/BeachWavesLove May 26 '26

Agree. Not attractive at all. He is also not a kind person by the way he deceived his wife and mads husband.

0

u/cperiodjperiod May 27 '26

Yeah. His “wife” was terrible…and at this point the show is about real as the marriages.

1

u/Vegetable-Carpet1593 May 27 '26

They are both awful in different ways.

-13

u/Icy-Crab-538 May 26 '26

He is very good looking

16

u/Itiswellwmysoull I’m going to respect that May 26 '26

He totally had me fooled and for him to not be honest with his wife Michelle about what was going on with him and Madison, while also befriending Madison’s husband like nothing was going on, was bewildering to me. How can you say you have such great values and lie to people’s faces and not feel bad about it?

Michelle wasn’t the greatest wife, I did not like her, but he made a vow for better or worse. She was still trying to work on herself, granted this was all in 8 weeks.

He was almost 40 at that time too, so a young mindset wasn’t an excuse. I was so disappointed with him and Madison. If I were Madison, I would always be worried he would do the same thing to me.

3

u/ExistingFly1724 May 30 '26

True. Like what’s he going to do when they have a baby and she starts forgetting to “ask him questions” lmao

6

u/glitterfluff May 27 '26

I'm not easily fooled, even with people on reality TV, but they definitely went out of their way to edit him so he looked like a really decent person. He's not, obviously. But he definitely played the role well, up until she caught him in the lie with the text, and then it was immediately obvious how he was lying.

4

u/droogles May 27 '26

He lied his way on to the show. He said he was saving money and had enough to buy a house. He didn’t.

4

u/glitterfluff May 27 '26

Yeah, I'm not sure why they wouldn't look at financials for these contestants.

-14

u/emaoutsidethebox May 26 '26

I think this man was the best looking on the show....he has a great vibe about him...good looking, down to Earth, great personality, family oriented. He and Madison have a lot in common...both into fitness, sports and an active lifestyle. She is very close with her father and her family, he is very close with his mother and his family. Both come from humble beginnings and are involved in professions they enjoy.

2

u/DavidOrWalter May 27 '26

He’s pretty mediocre looking. He’s a gaslighting cheater - not sure what anyone sees in him

0

u/cperiodjperiod May 27 '26

Hahahah. Gaslighting cheater. Do y’all actually hear yourselves!?

0

u/DavidOrWalter Jun 07 '26

Yup - it’s what he is. He cheated. He gaslit her. You can’t wordsmith and nonsense your way around that no matter how much of an incel you are.

2

u/cperiodjperiod Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

You have to be in a real relationship to cheat.

I love it. Incel. You should tell my wife.

The word is now used for any time somebody does something you don’t like to the point it no longer has meaning.

Also, it’s not wordsmithing. It’s logic. I’ll spell it out for you: you believe made-for-tv marriages are real. Because you probably also believe in unicorns. I believe that made-for-tv marriages CAN be real, as long as both parties are trying. Because I believe that these aren’t real unless they MAKE them real. Making a relationship real involves effort—they have nothing else to base their relationship on BUT that. In THIS case, no effort, no relationship. Thats logic. Nuance. Not making a blanket statement about something because it feels good. Adults do it all the time.

But calling a married stranger on Reddit an incel because he doesn’t think a made-for-tv marriage where the marriage part is a gimmick is real—especially when one of the parties isn’t even trying—and therefore not worthy of being called cheating, especially not with the kind of anger and vitriol that should en reserved for REAL CHEATING, is unhinged behavior. Get a grip.

As the kids say, touch grass.

1

u/DavidOrWalter Jun 07 '26

Your make believe wife is probably embarrassed of you.

You have massive incel vibes. Take a breath and stop posting. It’s probably your bed time anyway little guy.

7

u/ilovedogs12345world May 26 '26

He is not into fitness. You can tell by looking at him. And “best looking on the show”. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/emaoutsidethebox May 26 '26

I believe we have seen him at the gym numerous times and he said he did some type of professional body building in his 20's.

2

u/droogles May 27 '26

He looks nothing like he used to look. He’s slouchy and heavy.

4

u/rdg04 May 26 '26

juan is like the most beautiful looking man ever- you think david is better looking?

-1

u/emaoutsidethebox May 26 '26

I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Juan is a handsome man but if I could choose between the two it would be David. While I can recognize Juan is attractive he does nothing for me in terms of attraction. I like David's crazy hair and sense of style, I like that he is stockier and a more solid build. He has a great smile and is the type of person that just brings a high energy, life of the party vibe. I am a fan of no tattoos so that would be the only distraction. I suppose it is no different than the show or most people thinking Madison was the eye candy of the show for the women and in reality I found Camille to be stunning and the most genuinely beautiful woman on the show. Again, I can recognize that Madison is attractive but it is too done up, too over the top for my tastes.

1

u/Vegetable-Carpet1593 May 27 '26

Madison is attractive, but very basic to me. I think Emem and Karla were the best looking, and obviously much better people. Karla annoyed me at first, but I think she was authentic at least.

2

u/emaoutsidethebox May 27 '26

None of the women or anyone for that matter would fall into the "unattractive" category although a person's personality can certainly put a dark cloud if it is negative, unappealing, difficult, etc. For example, I found Camille to be the best rounded....good personality and very pretty. I sense that Emem can be very difficult and perhaps a little needy and demanding....I did not care for her personality at all. However, her partner Ike has some very troubling behavior as well.

0

u/rdg04 May 26 '26

i get that- david would be my usual type- big caveman, interesting hair, tats- but i just could not get over how objectively beautiful and perfect juan looked- like a piece of art lol but i also felt that way about karla- i just couldn't get over how attractive they were.

1

u/DavidOrWalter May 27 '26

Juan would probably look way better with a shaved head. Other than that I’m jealous of hell of him.

2

u/emaoutsidethebox May 26 '26

They would have been a wonderful couple but I think he was too grounded and business oriented and she was too free flowing, lacking a real focus or ambition.

maybe, but i think it had to do with him not being physically attracted to her as well- he has said he is into busty curvy women. i thought karla was a flake at first, but she seemed more rooted and grounded than i initially thought- i ended up really liking her for the way she called out Madison. i think oftentimes we don't hold our friends accountable and just want to keep peace- but karla really showed how sensitive she was to integrity. i feel like if she was more morally fluid/dynamic (nice way to put it) she would have been more tolerant and easy going with madison- it just makes me think under no circumstance would karla ever betray anyone like that.

Lying and cheating aside?

I am on episode 16 I believe although I am aware that he and Madison end up together. Here is my position. You can call this "being married" but ultimately it is not. It is making a quasi-commitment to a perfect stranger. I say quasi-commitment because at any time they are able to duck out of the marriage and there is an actual ceremony to determine if they will stay married.

Neither of these individuals were properly matched. Michelle would have been better matched with Allen. They both are concerned with upward mobility and outward appearances, attaining a level of financial success, and are more suited for one another in terms of lifestyle (not athletic, not into fitness, etc). Not good, not bad, just not suited for the people they were matched.

Michelle treated David horribly from Day One. She was entitled, self absorbed, arrogant and condescending. It was very obvious to anyone watching that this union was never, ever going to work out...no matter how many times someone says "I am trying" or "I am committed to seeing this thru" or "I want to see this work out." Zero chance in Hell.

Now, presumably all of these participants went on this show with the hopes and intentions of finding a life partner. If you are having zero connection, zero attraction and zero reciprocity from your partner but you find someone better suited for you why would you not pursue that avenue? No one stole anyone from anyone else...Allen and Madison were never going to be a legit couple. David and Michelle were never going to be a legit couple.

Now, we can argue the whole lying and cheating and morality but at the end of the day...these are basically strangers. They do not have a history together, they have endured nothing together other than a few weeks. I mean can we even call it cheating if you have never even had sex with your partner or any level of intimacy to begin with....Madison and David may have been screwing around but no one else is screwing each other....in essence they are just trying "to play house." There is no romantic level between these couples...no intimacy, no sexuality, no exchange of love or true forms of emotional connection.

I say bravo if you found your person....life is short.

I don't think Michelle would've liked Allen either, or anyone for that matter. Allen deserved better though.

1

u/emaoutsidethebox May 27 '26

I do think Michelle has a myriad of her own issues which impact her ability to have a relationship or successful relationships. She is 39 and single and has been for over 5 years.

2

u/Economy_Fortune7349 May 27 '26

Then why the whole cousin? aunt? I can't remember food story, you know the could eat you up text. He could have been honest at the time. That was his out.

13

u/WiseDeparture9530 May 26 '26

May I ask where I can buy you as my bot? Because this man is a lying narcissist and not to mention Madison has no conscience either.

-2

u/emaoutsidethebox May 26 '26

I never saw any signs of what I would call narcissism from David. Do you have an example? Read my response above to a similar question. How much of a conscience does one need to have in this "playing house" scenario these folks are in?

1

u/DavidOrWalter May 27 '26

Probably his dogshit gaslighting and unraveling of just how much he was cheating while not on camera being a ‘good guy’.

1

u/emaoutsidethebox May 27 '26

I did see a few more episodes tonight and I would agree...about the gas lighting and such. However, can it be cheating if you do not sleep in the same bed as your spouse, only kissed your spouse once on the mouth, have no physical intimacy, no romantic intimacy, spend no time together and have only known each other less than a month?

u/DavidOrWalter May 27 '26 edited May 28 '26

Yes it absolutely is? It’s pretty much the definition. It’s your spouse that you are married to and whole goal is to try and make it a whopping EIGHT whole weeks without cheating before making a final decision.

So yeah, it’s not all about sex or kissing 'on the mouth'. He joined the show knowing the possibilities and that he might have to go a whole 60 days without sex or mouth kisses.

So yes, it’s 100% cheating without a single question and he’s absolutely a piece of shit. He just thought his spot wouldn’t get blown up while he went behind her back constantly. If he didn’t screw up the text meant for Madison and mistakenly send it to Michelle he might have done it also.

ok well I am confused about ole girl Emem is it ?(respectfully) diving into a new engagement with who is this person? Some old middle school pal??? 😳 talk about desperate i literally thought i missed 3 episodes when i saw her reveal this clown she went one two dates with ?? smh This shows a hot mess if you ask me lol oh and David.... just comes across as unkept and frankly pretty damn rude. I felt bad for him in the beginning but his attitude washed it away🤷‍♀️

I don't see them lasting even though they are still together today. Women are very hypergamous by nature. Couples with a female breadwinner generally don't work because they can't be happy, they always want more. Men want peace, women always want more.

Married

1

u/PrincessKirbii May 26 '26

Sure, suuure. But that doesn't stop a dead bedroom and it doesn't mean you don't have the attitude/personality/defining qualities of an incel.

4

u/Particular-Cup-994 May 26 '26

Weird comment! Anyway they are recently engaged after 3 years together

-9

u/AZBuckeyes12977 May 26 '26

It won't even be 3 years until September. Women can't handle being the breadwinner in general. They are living in her place. I'm sure he's paying "some" of the mortgage, but she will probably eventually want more. Men can handle a stay at home or underemployed wife assuming everything else is good. Women can't handle a stay at home or underemployed man even if he treats her well. Always want more, never satisfied. She makes approximately 2x what he makes. She won't be satisfied long term.

5

u/Academic_Compote_858 May 26 '26

What a weird blanket statement to make. There are many successful relationships where women are the breadwinner

0

u/AZBuckeyes12977 May 26 '26

Most don't work because the women always end up thinking they deserve more.

u/sunsoullove_ May 26 '26

He reminds me of Gonzo in Fear and Loathing

5

u/Hopeful_Ingenuity403 May 26 '26

He's a homeless version of mauga from overwatch too....

🤣😂🤣👌

1

u/junpei May 26 '26

Damn you're right. This is not the crossover episode I expected.

25

u/mgorman22 May 26 '26

their foundation was built on lies and deceit, so... good luck with that. They have already shown that marriage vows mean nothing to them.

4

u/rdg04 May 26 '26

when she has a baby her attention will be focused on the kids and he will cheat cause he needs to be the center of attention. unless before having a baby she realizes there is no other woman she has to one up to fuel her ego and loses interest all together :/

6

u/glitterfluff May 27 '26

He will absolutely cheat. I have no doubts whatsoever. But she might, too. Because when it comes to their marriages on the show, she was definitely much worse with how she behaved. Allen was a goofball, but he was sweet and clearly falling in love, and she absolutely was going to let him go all the way to decision day.

10

u/Realityinyoface May 26 '26

This isn’t the same thing. This is a situation where 2 idiots go on a show with a rather low success rate and get matched up for drama purposes and then tend to split. These 2 dopes went about it the wrong way, but many of the people who go on the show don’t take it seriously, put in 0 effort and seem content with having a divorce.

It shows how little effort the show puts into the original matchmaking process.

u/Marbleprincess_ May 26 '26

The crazy part is if you go through the episode threads, people were rooting for him at first. Calling him handsome and that plenty of people move home to save money and that it was a “basement apartment.”

By 38 if you’re in the dating game you hear that excuse of “living at home” so many times. Most people can exactly discern when someone is actually working towards a goal or just coasting by. Michelle got a bad edit but I’m sure she realized what was going on and was pissed with the outcome of who she got.

1

u/Cherry_xvax21 May 26 '26

Two truths bc Michele was a major part of the problem. She is not a kind person and can use some work on herself. She probably signed up for the show bc she can’t find a man due to her ugly personality.

5

u/Marbleprincess_ May 26 '26

I think she would have been kinder to someone she felt more compatible with.

2

u/Cherry_xvax21 Jun 06 '26

I don’t believe there should be a prerequisite to be kind lol.

1

u/Killpinocchio2 May 26 '26

There is no excuse for her attitude or behavior

5

u/Marbleprincess_ May 26 '26

Welp I disagree. Too many variables at play here.

1

u/Realityinyoface May 26 '26

Michelle, herself, was no prize. But yeah, let’s throw out a lame excuse for her for no reason. Also, anyone willing to go on this show deserves what they get. Any amount of ignorance is their own fault.

It was a weird season. David had the about the easiest out and yet still chose to come up with terrible lies. Why?

9

u/Marbleprincess_ May 26 '26

She would have been a prize to someone more compatible for her. If you matched with me with a gym bro living at home I would be resentful as well.

20

u/Grit_girl May 26 '26

David is a walking RED FLAG!

10

u/Tink1024 May 26 '26

I gotchu on that! His “apt” in his mommy’s basement was really just an unfinished basement where mommy comes down to do her laundry. I would’ve been pissed too.

5

u/Foster921 May 27 '26

I kept waiting for David to reveal that he had X amount of dollars saved for a major down payment on a house…and nada!!

4

u/Tink1024 May 27 '26

David couldn’t even afford drywall for the basement!

3

u/MyristicaFragrans Rock Wit Chu May 27 '26

I know! I was expecting a finished suite that was like an apartment within the house. Meanwhile it looked like the crash pad of a frat boy lol.

3

u/Tink1024 May 27 '26

I mean even some sheet rock walls would’ve helped!
