He has to be at least 4 months to clear customs travel to the US. And he needs to go to the cat show at 16-18 weeks to confirm his temperment and for his development.
I just would never travel with a cat internationally even if I could if they were less than 4 months, Their immune system and ability to go most the day without food or hold it until they can go is just not ready
I personally believe that 16-18 is what's best for the cat anyways, That's the age for Maine coons that the Mother and kittens naturally start to separate at.
They are much more confident and have less behavioral issues and do better when showing and are much easier to leash train and travel train if you leave them with the mother and litter mates until they are about 16-18 weeks.
They are just so cute, you want to take them home at like 4 weeks 🤣.
I will be there there in January when he turns 18 weeks, we might come home in January, but we will probably come home in February.
Haha yeh I hear that. We are UK. So most customers are in Britain for us. We have a miniature maine coon. She has proportionate pituitary dwarfism. So full proportionate maine coon just 1.2k at 7 months. Nor Al one is about 4 5 kilo at 7 months at least
Oh my goodness, can I see her? I love the smaller ones.
A lot of ours like to sleep in bed with us.
The big ones can sleep on my husbands belly and chest fine for a few hours or through the night and fit on his lap and he can carry them easily because he is a big man, but they are just way too big for me sometimes.
I hate how everybody is so obsessed with size now, it's not even close to the best thing about maine coons. They are all great, but my most special have been the medium or smaller ones.
This boy, will probably be a lighter blue silver shaded. I really wanted to pick one of the blue silver shells but his temperment is just too perfect for show and for traveling and walking on leash, that's so much more important to me than anything else, I couldn't not go with him when she showed me his behavior.
