Isn't she on record saying a lot of the stuff on the show made her feel icky because of her strong Christian values, or am I making that up?

She became more Christian and more conservative after leaving, but yes she was already pretty invested in her faith when she joined SNL. She grew up Baptist, and she attended South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary, so that should tell you something.

She's funnier than the funniest kids at Bible camp sketch night, though, that's for sure. She wasn't my favorite, but when they put her in the right sketch I loved her (I feel similarly about Melanie Hutsell).

Truly appreciate this! Knew somebody would come along that knew what I was talking about. I forgot she grew up Baptist!

Q: Why don't Southern Baptists do it standing up?

A: They don't want anybody to think they're dancing.

Edit: just to add that I loved her in UHF.

Jews don't recognize Jesus as the messiah.

Episcopaleans don't recognize transubstantiation.

And Baptists don't recognize each other in a liquor store!

We're here all night folks, don't forget to tip your waitresses!

Not trying to make any big point one way or the other, just saying this is maybe an example of a thing that made her uncomfortable. Providing, as I said, I'm not making the whole thing up.

Some of this is the dress rehearsal because there were protesters who disrupted it during the live show.

Sharon Stone is the best!!! I miss her being around! Casino is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. It came out a few years after this. She’s so great in it, it’s astonishing.

A judge tried to say she was an unfit mother for this scene in her movie and take her child away from her during divorce court.

For those who don't know, this is based on a somewhat infamous scene featuring her in the movie Basic Instinct, which I'm assuming she was promoting at the time.

I saw Basic Instinct way too young. I swear it was on Bravo or whatever it was called in the mid 90s. You could see un-edited R movies on basic cable unless I dreamed it.

She played it perfectly, no winking or trying to be funny

Heather Locklear also know how to play it straight, I loved her episode

Dressed in her best gym attire.

So she was humiliated and angry with that scene, but enjoyed playing it up for comedy. Ok.

What’s your deal

And then she complained about the scene that made her a household name later. Interesting.
