I genuinely don’t know if the optics are as bad “IRL” as they are online? Like I have never seen or heard anyone IRL get nearly as fired up about AI as the average internet person. It feels like one of those things that aren’t so much on “normies”’ radar. This is not me excusing the use of genAI on SNL, or from any major company. It’s despicable and gross.

This. People online take themselves way too serious. The average human is not looking it it like it's satan.

And it takes longer for them to make cue cards than it would to use a prompter, but they do it.
