QUESTION - ALL LINUX SYSTEMS [Ansys Fluent] Can I install it?

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry if it is not a game, but that's the only sub where I may ask I guess..

I want to delete windows 11 at all and switch to linux, do you know anyway to obtain Ansys Fluent through "particular" means?

I use it for my PhD, and even though I want to switch to openfoam soon, at the moment I need it for meshing and case preparation..

I then use some clusters for the simulations, but the preliminary preparation is needed on my pc.

I tried on VM to install it with Wine, but I couldn't get it, is there any way? Or could I maybe use it inside a virtual machine inside linux? (I would like to use it natively on linux obviously, if possible)

mmmh asking for links is verboten ... just sayin'.. ironically your post is literally right next to rule #2.. that said .. one could use a search engine to find the SSQ release of Ansys 2026 R1.04 ( SP4) that contains Fluent and basically most Ansys applications.. linux native.. no less..

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I'm sorry if it seemed like I was asking for a link/website, but I was not, I was just asking whether it was possible or not, to avoid any waste of time switching to linux and then having to switch back to windows eventually. I was wondering if someone managed to do so or not, because I searched for linux releases, but couldn't manage to install it.

If someone had my experience and managed to install it, then I will find it myself somehow, that was my question!

Ah .. all good .. and certainly not finger wagging.. So you have the linux 2026 R1.04 release but couldn't get it to install ? what was the issue ? I do recall there was an issue with the original 2026 SSQ release.. a path issue for licensing .. "linx64" vs "libx64" .. but after that "it" worked.. I didn't try every application ( SP1 )... "the path in the archive is shared_files/licensing/libx64/ansyslmd, but it should be shared_files/licensing/linx64/ansyslmd"

I will try to install It again, because at the time (1 Month ago) i used virtualbox to test whether I could install It or not, but when i installed license manager, i could not launch It even thought I had wine installed, It Just was loading but no website has shown up. Thank you again, i Will give another try, this time installing the distro officially on my SSD.
