General Questions/Discussion 1.4 Release Notes

Very bottom of the release notes for 1.4 it says:

Do we have to wait forever for 1.5 now?

Nope. It’s right around the corner and not what you expect.

Wonder what this could mean. <this is me leaning forward with interest>

I'm fully expecting 1.5 to NOT be backwards compatible with the original Helix.

Eric already said today that the pedals that were released were supposed to part of helix 3.9 but something got in the way and they didn’t make the cut. But they will next release

Effects in Stadium 1.4 will totally work in Helix/HX 3.90 (despite some of them having Agoura-adjacent DSP), but we can't slow down Stadium development to pivot back over to OG every update, so expect at least 1.5 stuff in there as well.

What does Agoura-adjacent DSP mean? Are we talking about the effects being more DSP-intensive? Or have y’all again discovered new ways to save DSP power on the Helix/HX platform?

Eric told me that 1.5 will have the expansion D10 support which in my case is huge. I have these things….

I’ve pivoted to the Brit s100 ‘67 no cap for my Are You Experienced presets and it’s lovely. Playing along with a couple tracks already sounds spot on. Presence setting is having a major impact and really lowering it is catching major Monterey vibes.
