Gooch and Klemmer
Would make the best show if you could only take two of the boys. Strong, authentic opinions that can be articulated uniquely. Jeff is just a movie review machine with five lines and idk kenjac just seems like he just woke up from a nap every episode. Gooch and Klemmer have passion, unique takes, and individual tastes that are interesting and consistent. Watching those two discuss movies without Jeff and kenjac would be the best version of the show

I liked Digger way more than I thought i would
I wasn’t going to even go to the theaters for this movie as the trailer and discourse around it made me think I’d be uninterested. But ended up going last night and was really surprised. Not the greatest movie ever but I really liked it and thought it was well done. I did not get how Klemmer hated it so much and thought it was preachy, also don’t get how Gooch gave it a 5 star (is he doing a bit of just trying to be contrarian with this and prime time?). I did actually laughed a few times at how ridiculous some of the characters were but wasn’t hilarious. Was sick to see Tom Cruise in something original as someone who was young when he was a massive star.

Slow horses
In a long list of annoying traits - it’s really starting to bother me that Jefph can’t mention slow horses without mentioning the Gary Oldman quote about how making the seasons so quickly is difficult. We’re on like 4 weeks straight.

LCP Episode 22, Jeff Predicts Project Hail Mary 9 Years Before Release
I recently started relistening to the old Lights Camera Pod episodes from the beginning, just as some background noise while I've been especially busy at work.
First off the pod has aged amazingly, still hilarious in my opinion. But one of the best parts is hearing their reactions to upcoming movie news and seeing what they predict will happen. One moment I found pretty crazy was Episode 22, 1:23:00 in, they discuss what Director/Actor combo they most want to see. Jeff picked Phil Lord/Christopher Miller and Ryan Gosling as the one he'd most like to see.
9 years later Project Hail Mary dropped and became the best movie Klemmer has ever seen, while Jeff gave it a cool 89/100.
In the same episode Jeff also requests that they make a Fortnite movie, we'll see if that one ever comes to fruition.

Gooch giving Primetime a 100% rating was so weird
I was actually stunned when Gooch gave that score cause I just could not understand the rationale. I didn’t hate the movie but there were so many clear flaws. And if it’s 100% rating, it’s comparable to stuff like the GodFather and Oppenheimer. When Jeff and Klemmer challenged him he got really defensive. Also side note, he got really defensive when the guys claimed it was sympathetic to pedophiles, very weird. Maybe it’s just the fact he interviewed the director and has bias as a result? Or maybe he’s just trying to be different and introspective. It was just really odd overall

JDL full tilt last pod
Enjoyed this week’s pod except for Jeff repeating the same sentence 90 times for what feels like every movie he enjoys. Dude needs a new repertoire of words if he wants to be taken seriously and maybe a speech pathologist to ditch that nasty lisp while he’s at it.

Marcus Theatres/A24 dispute
Local theater hasn't played an A24 release in months and seems to be chain wide, haven't seen any reporting on this.
Wondering if anyone had any thoughts/info

Actual movie question (Star Wars Watch Order)
My nephews (8 and 6) have really gotten into the Star Wars universe through Legos and action figures and I want to introduce them to the movies but I’m struggling on how to compromise between keeping their attention while at the same time, preserving the mystery of the movies in the overall plot of the Skywalker saga. I know they would love the prequels so I’m leaning towards starting with Phantom Menace but also want to keep the suspense that comes with some of the reveals in the original trilogy. Would be curious if anyone else has tried the same approach and what order they showed the movies and had success in maximizing enjoyment.

Old Episodes Not Available?
Wanted to pop on some old Trilly B on my walk this morning and it said temporarily unavailable? Tried a few different old episodes, all said the same thing.
On Apple Podcasts btw.
