Yea I said it in the MLS match thread, but I think Haak had the worst game of his time with Galaxy, if not his career.

Directly caused multiple goals, and completely blew it on a great chance to put one away

Haak mentally was not there after the first goal where he tried to draw the foul. Affected his game forsure. Sucks but he needs to forget and lock in for midweek. Whole backline although I expect to see Calegari and Nelson slotted in

Genuinely expected STL to bread the record for most goals scored in a single game. Kinda shocked it ended only 6-2

I thought Garces of all people was one of the only guys to have a good game lol

Hoped for a point but expected a loss. The way they lost was terrible though. Need a bounce back vs Portland and SD. Also, even if they are 7/8 seed they better hope they play anyone but St. Louis.

And I got all cocky, never assume a victory against Galaxy, speaking from experience they have a way of throwing sand in your cheerios when it seems impossible....

Most of us expected a loss and I’m all for resting players given the bigger games ahead. But you simply can’t lose by that margin. That’s embarrassing in an already disappointing season.

Also, sucks about his injury but Kyogo is already a huge disappointment and a good example of the many bad contracts this team gives out. Our scouting needs to be torn down along with the coaching staff.

Look, I’m just as upset about this defeat as the next Gz fan.. but the only silver lining I see is.. they didn’t play our starting 11 and they looked vulnerable in the second half when we had Reus and Paintsil subbed in.. our starting 11 can go toe to toe with anyone in the league..we just need our team healthy

They even had a stretch in the first half when they locked in and got the first goal where it looked promising.

I think they couldn’t overcome the mental game in the beginning when they got caught off guard, and then the pen toward the end of the first half

I think there’s a scenario where the match is closer or even in Galaxy’s favor

Our starting 11 cannot go toe to toe with anyone in the league. When a team is embarrassing us with 5 at 45 they can take their foot off the gas so their second half vulnerability was scoring a sixth and then giving a pity goal.
