It’s like watching fledglings learn to fly for the first time through trial and error. It’s almost adorable in a weird way.

KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion KSP almost returned to pre-Artemis baseline of concurrent players

Post image

4 months ago, on April 1, Artemis II mission was launched, which brought online player count to historical record high of 23000 concurrent players. However since the peak, player count has been on a steady decline, reaching 4800 players today, which is close to ~4000 players baseline before the launch. What do you guys think of this trend?

KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion Hail Mary Effect?

Post image

Wonder if the recent increase in player count (6120 peak: higher since early 2023) is related to the movie and increased interest in space//scifi or if its just related to the recent Spring Sale on Steam?

KSP 2 Suggestion/Discussion It’s Over

2.9k Upvotes

2x Confirmed Intercept Games staff have posted they’re looking for work.

All I.G. job listings on their site are now broken links.

Mandatory government listing of layoffs for 70 people in Seattle under T2, of which Intercept Games is the only company. (Source: https://esd.wa.gov/about-employees/WARN)

KSP2 is dead. A sad day indeed.

KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion is there a mod that can do this?

Post image
1.0k Upvotes

Okay, so I want to make a nuclear shuttle fleet. It'd be so cool, but of course they need to refuel.

Up until now I've been ditching them into Kerbin's atmosphere after missions, but that doesn't feel realistic. I'd rather keep the fleet and refuel them. The problem is refueling the fuel depots themselves. I cannot be bothered launching tanker missions every few flights because I'm a lazy chud.

so, Is there a mod where I can make a specific fuel tank have infinite fuel? I want to put a fuel depot in orbit with unlimited fuel, while my nuclear shuttles still have finite fuel and dock with it to refuel. Does anything like that exist?

KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion An Aldrin Cycler is an idea for a satellite which passes Earth and Mars on every orbit. I did the math to make one in KSP.

Still a week before the WARN date, but both community managers indicated yesterday was their last day and the office looks completely empty, so I'm guessing that's it 😕

KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion We need to warn these newbs not to buy KSP2

1.1k Upvotes

I've been seeing a number of posts from new players asking questions about KSP2, not knowing the whole gory story of its development and cancellation. For a new player without proper context, it would be an easy mistake to make.

EDIT: To be clear, I'm seeing posts of users asking questions about playing KSP2 having already bought it. They're asking where certain parts are, how to use fairings, stuff like that.

I think it's likely that many people are hearing about KSP and buying what they view as the most recent installment, without consulting any online resources. For these people, there's not much we can do. But maybe there are some new players coming to check out the subreddit before they buy.

Mods, can we sticky a post or something explicitly warning new players to buy KSP1 if they want a complete experience? Perhaps not permanently but at least during the game's current resurgence.

I am a die-hard fan of this game and it hurts my soul a bit to think that a new player could have their first impression ruined by KSP2 😅

KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion Get KSP2 off of Steam

We all know the drama behind KSP2. I found a petition someone started and thought I'd share. It requests the game be taken off of steam but also refunds. While I disagree about the refund side of things due to the nature of it releasing in early access (we knew the chances), I still think it's terrible that steam is still selling it considering it's completely unfinished and will never be finished.
