Additional playlist functions request

When I choose a playlist to play, there are two things I would like:
- when I choose SHUFFLE mode, the playlist to be show in the order it is playing
- a very very quick ability to delete the song currently playing or a song recently played, from the playlist. Often I add an new album to a playlist, but after hearing the songs the first time, I only want to keep certain songs on the playlist.

Last.fm Scrobbling is Here! — Release Notes 2026-09-15

- Last.FM scrobbling is now supported. Available for free, with advanced customizations available to Pro users.
- Recently Played improvements, can toggle between Apple and Jelly play history. Customize when Jelly counts a “play”.
- DJ text prompt improvements, so if you type suggestions for a dj session you should get better results now.
- Clarifications to “Match with Apple Music” feature. This feature is intended for artists and albums that Apple either could not match automatically or matched incorrectly. So you can override those matches in Jelly Music. Your Jelly overrides unfortunately do not sync back to Apple, even if you have Mac Bridge enabled, as there doesn't seem to be a way to write that data to Apple.
- Fixed a bug where having items in Jelly Trash could slow down the app.

Bump to Top - a feature worth exploring!

If you haven’t “bumped” a song yet, it’s a powerful yet dead-simple organizational aid in Jelly. Think of it as re-adding a song to your library, but you preserve the original date_added.

At top right of your now playing screen, you’ll either see a + icon (add to library), or if the song is already in your library, you’ll see a ⬆️ icon (bump in library).

Let’s say a forgotten favorite comes on that has been in your library for years, and you’re like “oh man I LOVE this song”. Tap the ⬆️ bump button.

If you sort your songs by “Recently added or bumped” (which is my default sort), it will now appear at the top of the list. If you sort songs by “Recently added”, it will still appear back whenever you first added it to your library.

Sometimes I might bump a song multiple times in the same month — there are no strict rules here, it’s just a quick way to surface songs back to the top of your library.

Explain Apple Music album matching

What is the purpose of this feature, and how does it work? I understand why my own local or non-Apple Music content in my library (ripped CDs or Bandcamp downloads) may not match the Apple Music version, but what does this do? Also, I see that the option is available for music that is, in fact, from Apple Music directly.

Jelly Music is live 🎉 A new client for Apple Music users

Jelly Music is officially available on the App Store!

Download for iPhone, iPad, and Mac:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/jelly-music-by-jellylabs/id6800010152

This subreddit will be a place for Jelly discussion — feature requests, bug reports, questions, feedback, etc.

Jelly is currently focused primarily on being an alternative Apple Music client for iPhone and iPad, with more control over your library, organization, discovery, smart playlists, metadata, radio/DJ features, and a bunch of other fun stuff.

A quick note about the Mac version: Right now its main purpose is acting as the Mac Bridge, which lets Jelly on iPhone/iPad read and sync metadata changes back to your Apple Music library. It is also a full Apple Music client on its own, but I don’t consider the Mac client experience finished yet. I’m planning to improve that client quite a bit over the coming releases.

So if you’re trying Jelly for the first time, I’d recommend judging it primarily by the iPhone/iPad experience for now, and install the Mac version if you want to enable Mac Bridge Sync (which works great!). I would not recommend downloading the Mac app alone, hoping you’ll find it to be an amazing replacement for the Apple Music Mac app, because it’s not quite there yet.

Thanks to everyone who helped test Jelly before launch. There’s still a ton I want to add, so keep the feedback coming. 🪼
