"Rows of solar roofs shade cars at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, forming the largest solar carport in the state.

The 12.37-megawatt system has nearly 23,000 panels on 36 structures covering 637,000 square feet (59,000 sq m) and shelters close to 4,300 parking spaces, keeping visitors' cars cool while they spend the day at the park.

The roofs are expected to generate 20.8 million kilowatt-hours a year, roughly the electricity used by 2,900 homes and enough to power both Magic Mountain and the neighboring Hurricane Harbor water park."

"Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day

Indigenous communities steward 35 to 40% of the planet's remaining natural land. They've been doing the work longer than the climate movement has existed. And they remain among the most underfunded.

At One Earth, we believe that closing the gap between Indigenous-led conservation and the capital it deserves is one of the most urgent priorities in climate finance.

Our Minding the Gaps research shows exactly how wide that gap is and our work is dedicated to helping close it."

What happens when young people are given the opportunity to care for the places they call home?

They become Stewards, they become leaders.

They become part of the future of their neighborhoods.

Through B.4.L. Soil Soldiers, young people are getting hands-on experience planting, cleaning, restoring, and activating shared spaces across our communities. This work is about changing a landscape by building a communal relationship with the land-and with one another.

When young people see that their hands can make a difference, neighborhood ownership becomes something we can practice together.

One Earth. One Community.
