Question about Agenda Missions when using Imperial Commander 2

Im playing my first campaign with Imperial Commander 2 and having a blast so far! I just finished my third mission and the app instructed me to draw a card from the Imperial Mission Deck.

I drew " Breaking Point" as an Imperial side mission. I now have to choose between 'Breaking Point' and 'Into the Unknown' for my next side mission. Assuming I choose Into the Unknown - what happens to the Breaking Point Imperial side mission?

Do I discard it and Does the app receive the reward card Supply Deficit? (If so how do I mark this on the app as Imperial reward cards are not listed in the reward section?)

Do I need to keep Breaking Point as an imperial side mission and eventually play it?

Or Do I just read all Imperial Side Missions as forced Missions and play them as such?

Any help would be much appreciated!

It’s not clearly documented but I would follow campaign rules and reward the imperials on a skipped agenda mission. Imperial commander doesn’t make use of any reward cards for the imperial other than earning villains.

When failing an agenda with a reward other than a villain, I believe it defaults to the following (pulled from the app after failing such a side mission):

The Threat level of the next mission (and only the next mission) increases by 1. During the Rebel Upgrade stage, the Rebel players can decide to spend 50 credits per hero to prevent this.

Thanks for the response! I was wondering if I read all the imperial missions as forced missions - would that be a problem?

On the app, all the imperial agenda cards with missions are listed as options for forced missions so when the app instructs me to draw an imperial mission I will play it as a forced mission and then continue on with the campaign side mission. This way I get to explore more content in the game as well - and at most my campaign gets extended by 3 games.

Only possible concern I see with doing it that way is that playing the agenda missions grants xp (and credits if you win). So you'd be powering yourself up more than a standard campaign would.

Edit: And if you skip the credits/xp award for playing, you then have the usual complaint of how forced missions work - they don't give anything to the rebel player, they just prevent the imperial player from getting their awards. If that doesn't bother you, I'd say go ahead and treat them as extra forced missions that don't award you, but you are instead playing to deny the imperials from getting something out of them.

My understanding is that the app handles it all in a different way, if the app tells you to pull a imperial mission and then you do a non imperial mission after the fact, then it knows to reward it self something, it does not need to reward itself the specific card, my understanding is that it will add something (perhaps at random)
