Masada Slim issue
I’ve had a Masada Slim as a carry pistol for years now and never had an issue with it.
Ordered the threaded barrel a few months ago and fired yesterday for the time with the threaded one installed.
Slide wouldn’t go into battery after successive shots, sometimes wouldn’t even close when racking the slide. It looks like the bullet is feeding into the chamber at a weird angle and the slide is closing onto the casing. Failure to feed, not a failure to eject. Same factory magazines as always, same slide, guide rod/springs &etc… only the barrel has been replaced (with another IWI barrel).
When I was shooting with my suppressor on, I had no issues, and I’m wondering if maybe my barrel is a defect or has too much tilt? Maybe the weight of the suppressor on the barrel keeps the tilt at the level it needs to be?
Has anyone else had this issue on the Mas9S?

Maybe try polishing the feed ramp. It might just need a little breaking in. If that doesn't work, I would definitely call IWI.

Yeah idk about a break in period.
Unthreaded barrel that came with the pistol didn’t need any type of break in. And the threaded barrel’s IWI (I don’t even know if there’s any non OEM barrels).
I’ve got one rifle and three pistols from IWI, all worked perfectly since day one, that’s why I’m surprised this issue’s coming up. Only change is the barrel so that’s the first place I’m looking.1

I usually always polish the feed ramp for a new barrel on pistols just because they've already had high round counts usually, so the wear pattern doesn't match a new barrel. Im not saying it SHOULD have a break in period, but it could be having an issue because of that. A little polish goes a long way for everything lol. Either way I hope you get it worked out. It's frustrating going through these kinds of things.

Yeah I emailed a couple hours after writing this post (still had other weapons to clean). Sent it to info@iwi(dot)us with the same image, and I included my PO number in case maybe the barrel can be traced to a batch or something.
I just figure since it’s a holiday weekend I probably won’t hear back until at least Tuesday. Just thought maybe people in the community may have had similar experiences.

Ive had failure to feeds because of red dot not being on properly maybe check that

hey so I compared the barrel to the unthreaded one. Ramp seems to come down lower and in another pic I’ll comment it also seems to come down steeper than the unthreaded version.
Threaded barrel is in right side of shot.

I also bought the OEM threaded barrel recently and have put about 400 rounds through it so far without any malfunctions. I have hit it with the threaded barrel only, with a suppressor, and with a compensator. Went bang every time. FWIW I am using 124gr and 147gr ammo. I stopped buying 115gr when I bought the suppressor, which I also use on 2-3 other pistols. Not sure this matters at all just an FYI.

I have same history with mine and also added the threaded barrel. Thankfully I have had no issues with my threaded barrel. Give IWI a call or email and I’m sure they’ll get you back and running.
