Im getting one either way, but my question is if i have two first generation ones with dumb Siri, when i ask new questions with this one in the set of 3, will it always respond with Siri AI and smart Siri or am i going to have to essentially turn off Siri responses for the other two to force them to aways run through the new one. Im even fine to do this second option (though less ideal) to have a smarter less annoying Siri lol

I would hope if you're within hearing distance of the s2 that it would answer but that's a good question. I have one pair of g1 and planning to buy another set of gen2 for a different room

That’s a good point. I hope it “prioritizes” like that. Well, we can race to an answer lol. I preordered and can report back…. If i remember.

I put a pair in my cart but because I want them for the kitchen I'm now debating just going with the home view so I haven't pulled the trigger yet

Gonna ask the geniuses at apple. I invested a lot in HomeKit and siri. Regular Siri only responds when I command it a specific way. Needed my whole household to memorize the correct lingo, such a pain.

I find them expensive for the hardware used. I have seven HomePod mini’s and two OG HP’s and wouldn’t know why I’d want one of these.
