Hello everyone - I am with the Western Piedmont Symphony in Hickory, NC. We are seeking a professional Santa performer for our two holiday concerts on the following dates, times, and locations:

Friday, December 4, 2026 @ JE Broyhill Civic Center (Lenoir NC)

• 2:00pm - 4:30pm Rehearsal
• 7:00pm Concert

Wednesday, December 16 @ CoMMA (Morganton NC)

• 2:00pm - 4:30pm Rehearsal
• 7:00pm Concert

The performer would need to provide their own costume and props and should be comfortable being on stage and able to have a dialogue during the performances with our Music Director.

This gig pays $400 ($200 per day/show)

I was over at that access the other day and happened to think about it. I drive across the bridge and pass it twice a day and I don't think I saw anyone out there all summer. I don't really recall seeing anyone use it last year either. When they first opened it I did see some people out there but it was only really weekends when the rest of the lake was busy. I have only been in the area a little while but in that time have seen 7Brew and Guthrie's open up to massive popularity. Which is fantastic, but idfk wtf whoever designed that to be the only entrance to both was thinking, it literally backs up into the road and mall entrance, feels like they both keep lines moving as fast as possible but that bottleneck at times seems dangerous and prob turns away some business as well.

Long story short, I recently had a front tire replaced on my Subaru. The Subaru is an all wheel drive and all the wheels need to have the same tread depth but, since the wheel is new, they don't.

I've called around and it seems like no one can shave my tire around here. Can anyone do this service? I'd hate the discrepancy in depth to turn into a thousand dollar issue.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knows of a floating lantern festival anywhere around here, Charlotte, or the mountains? I’ve seen the Chinese water lantern festivals but I reeeeeaaaaally would love to go to one where the lanterns get released into the air like in the Disney movie tangled. Has anyone heard of anything like that potentially happening this year?
