Spoilers [SPOILERS] Curious who your favorite character is. Mine's Tormund, easily. Jaime almost got there too, until the final season (and honestly a chunk of season 7) undid it

Post image

After asking you all about your most hated character during my rewatch, felt like it was only fair to flip it and ask about the most loved too.

Tormund's an easy pick for me, funny, warm, and he never has to carry the kind of moral weight half the cast does.

Jaime's the more complicated one. His arc from pure monster to someone who actually confronts his own weakness and limits is some of the best character writing the show ever did, right up until the last season (and a good part of season 7) throws most of that away.

Who's your favorite, and has anyone else had a character's arc get undone for them the way Jaime's did for me?

Olenna Tyrell(sadly not in the pictures). RIP Diana Rigg. Loved Lord Varys, but last season ruined him.

Jon snow till he bent the knee and started his myqween arc, it would've been fucking cool had he become the prince that was promised( something that's almost 100% true), mance told he would never be able to bend the knee, dnd threw that out

Tywin Lannister: Charles Dance did what Ian mckellen did for Gandalf. And I like how a gifted tactician obsessed with lineage, completely let the bed be mucked in that regard.

Varys no doubt. The only guy serving the realm.

Daenerys, Jon Snow, Tyrion, and Ned Stark are my favorites.

And if you have to choose only one?

Don’t know. I’d say it would be either Daenerys or Jon Snow, but even that would be a tie imo.

The Hound. He's close enough to power and the system that he can see through all the nonsense for how ridiculous and hypocritical it all is, much like Tyrion. But he reaches a point where he's so disgusted with all of it that he can no longer participate and just wants to be as far away from it as possible and free. I relate to that so much.

For me Tyrion Lannister. I enjoyed his dialogues, his personality, his ability to survive, his ability to take diplomatic decisions, his courage and his wisdom.
