Ahhhh I need to look into this apparently! I recently bought the disc and reader together but who knows that disc may fail. Is this a difficult “exploit”? I know about modding so you can just plan any game using roms on a small memory card although I’ve never done it. But I’m assuming what you’re doing is different or else you wouldn’t need the attachment at all right?

Your better off using the updated software. I bought mine new back when it came out, but dont use thr disc anymore.

Random OfferUp deal - it was just the console, they weren't sure if it worked. Took a chance, brought it home, plugged it in, works perfectly. I've been blessed with deals lately... also found a basically new Switch 2 + DK Bananza for 300. Also found two good condition OEM GC controllers over the past few days.

Everdrive GBA Mini. The Pro is nice, but you don’t need all the bells and whistles when using a GBA Player (imo).

You wouldnt use the official gb player disc anyway even if you had it. You have the right idea to use the better and more accurate gbi.

I guess, I'm probably more suprised to the price increases. I've got 2 players, one was 100 yen without the disc from Japan and another one was 40 euros with a PAL disc from EU.

The disc sucks compared to the free open source option that you’re going to be using. I would also suggest getting a good video scaler or the HDMI adapters they sell for the GV that plug into the digital port only. The HDMI adapters that go into the analogue ports suck.

Can't really agree on the analog hdmi adapter, although I'm using an ossc. I can say it looks absolutely fantastic on my 65" tv

Many moons ago I bought a GameCube that came with a gameboy player, controllers, and 2 loose games (hit n run and smash bros). The kicker was the GameCube was roach infested. I wanted that Gameboy player at the time so I deep cleaned everything down to the bare bones. I'd say it was worth it for me just for the player and the loose games.

I was selling game boy players and accidentally sold my own disc a few years ago. I mistakenly sold my personal last final copy with the player. I still haven’t got another one yet.

Grats! I just ordered one myself but I needed a violet one. However the ones I could find US based were $90+ without the disk.
So since my game cube was JP (region modded), why not order a violet jp player.
But it’s been in customs a week now…
