Modding Created A Fun New Game Selection Screen
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So after some inspiration from X I created a new game selection screen in Swiss to give the games a more tangible feel! This is along side many other Swiss mods.

I would love something like this but more original gamecube themed.

Cubeboot/Cubiboot
Less competent than Swiss of course.4

But the good news is you can put your swiss dol on the homescreen for quick access to swiss

Cubeboot lets you boot games through Swiss by editing the config file. This lets you can take advantage of Swiss features like forcing progressive scan and outputting the game's true internal resolution.

I know, I know.
I'm in fact forking Cubeboot to add virtual memory cards, specifically to not have to use Swiss.
Glad Swiss exists, but I like my setups minimal!

I am currently attempting to find a way to add virtual memory cards to Cubeboot using the flippydrive.

I have a prototype that I'm trying to generalize. Currently not every game respects it and it's not yet recognized in the GUI. PM me.

It literally just delegates to Swiss.

It doesn't have to.

This is very cool. I hope you keep it up to date with the original. Since Swiss gets updates to add features and fix stuff.

This is good but please keep it up to date with any future Swiss releases. Otherwise this ends up as useless. As an AI Swiss GUI this is great to start but please dont be one of those who leaves it to rot because you got bored or don't know how to adapt the gui to a later version.

Swiss bans AI contributions :( I am going to maintain my own AI based fork moving forward.

I wouldn’t expect extrems to accept ai contributions tbh. If you keep yours up to date then fair enough. I am hoping for an updated official Swiss gui at some point.

Honest question.
When will you publish this? As I can't manage to build the .sh file you included, and your instructions are incredibly bare-bones for that step...

Really cool! I prefer the stock GUI (so Cubeboot for me) but this is really nice. If I ever go Swiss this will be it.

i like the rotatable disc as its reminiscent to the stock ui spinning to the degree with which you hold the A button when going to the settings. but overall the screen is too busy. specifically the top left spinning cube, the background moving cubes and the colorful discs on the bottom. it reminds me of llm aesthetics as they are so in your face and busy for no reason. the atmosphere of the stock gamecube user interface should be respected. its slick, minimal, 2000s futuristic, lonely, dark, fun, dynamic, functional and filled with thoughtful details

That is so good. I'm going to install that.
I have been feeling that my library lacked some form of tangibility to make it less sterile.
