Just something I’m proud of.

I have been wanting to make it easier for me to change batteries instead of always having to solder a battery back on. I was nervous doing it but well worth it in the end. For reference it’s Pokémon Sapphire and Crystal.

Got this GBA for $25 on FB marketplace. Everything else seemed fine except that the cartridge slot is fucked up! This will be the first time i will be doing a repair/ replacement like this! And if I’m successful, this will be the base for an IPS mod! Wish me luck!

Looking for advice on repairing my old gba!

Hi all!

As a 20-something who now has some disposable income, I was thinking about getting my childhood GBA fixed! The display doesn't work on startup, and with limited technical knowledge I doubt I could fix it myself.

I was wondering how you would all recommend finding people/places that do retro console repairs? I live in a fairly rural area, so I think it might be a challenge to find someone locally. Should I check around at used game stores for info? Or alternatively, are there any repair shops online that people would recommend?

Thanks :)

A super fun little side quest.

Amazing how 2026 tech interacts with 2003 hardware!

Hi all! I have a gba that isn’t working. I’ve checked the screen on another board and it works fine but I can’t get this to run. Can anyone take a look at this board and try to help me out to see if something’s wrong? Thanks so much!

How to make Pea Soup default palette? (EZ Flash Omega)

Title is pretty self explanatory. When playing my gameboy games on my gba, usung the EZ Flash Omega flashcart, there’s several palettes you can choose from. Including one called “Pea Soup” which replicates the original green tint. I really like using this palette, but it’s a little annoying to have to switch to that palette every time I start a game.

Is there any way to make this the default palette so I can just start a game with this tint color?
