I buy unfinished clear resin shells and then finish them myself. I use a combination of aerosol paints and lacquers.

For everyone asking about details. It's called a Tad Boy Color.

There's a bill of materials and a guide for making one on the project's GitHub. It has also been covered by a few YouTubers.

Building it involves soldering a lot of very small components using a hot plate and heat gun.

They're typically quite expensive to buy assembled because of the difficulty of the build.

I think the same seller that sells resin shells on Etsy also does volume wheels and cartridge sheilds.
